  3. @linuxgurugamer, thank you. just downloaded (both 1.6 and 1.7) and seems like the changes I uploaded to github yesterday aren't in there. I am probably not doing something right.
  4. @allista been working on updating a mod with LinuxGuruGamer - OrbitalTug, several parts have cargobays that appear to be large enough to hold the helperDrones (also in mod). Two questions: can those cargobays be converted to use hangers, and how difficult would it be to do so? Thank you in advance!

  6. OLD KAS - KAS 1.3 removes the anchor, harpoon, the magnet, and the grappling hook. The winches also could 'fire' the harpoon ---- IR-Next has several items that might work. (Infernal Robotics). (Github) Konstruction also has magnetics.(Github)

Some Images: So have been experimenting with KAS in two ways: I have installed both versions of KAS side-by-side and so far nothing has exploded unintentionally... Also - Installed IR-Next with KJR-Next - which has a magnetic grappler and even a super suction cup grappler. Now just cleanup and bugspray time. the normal position of the grapplerJr is upside down for land vehicles (because of its grappler should be up) and the seat (which, oh, yes, I got working in this version) is upside-down. I will add a command module orientation switcher soon. I am expecting another update in 7-14 days. (Monday maybe)

  11. just for fun, to push that red button.... I just want to point out that 100L is over 26.5 gallons - so over 5x5 gallon buckets. now in comparison: 180# human fits into 17.76 gallons (~67.3 L). Jeb in spacesuit weights about 90 kg so 19.6 gallons or 74.2 L (needs to lay off the S.N.A.C.K.S! ) So - I would think that each experiment / item would be more along the lines of 20-30L each (packed up). In fact, I swear this is what KIS was reporting them as before they were banned for misbehaving after leaving. Concerning the size (in L) of the Deployed* parts - 35L would be what I'd expect, with the low end being around 22L for the smallest, lightest part.
  12. make sure you have ModuleManager installed (correctly) copy that code into a text file named something like MEM_RW.cfg and store in the/GameData/ directory - preferably in a separate folder named something like _MyPatches adjust values accordingly.
  13. now you wanna have some more fun? How about IL for OrbitalTug? Special challenge - put something on the engineonArm that indicates which way thrust. Git is fun - and it is really good at recording changes, especially the ones you don't want to remember.

  15. most wonderful point, but what if I made a part.cfg for them? then could place, move and well, weld. ?
  16. will be back at working / finishing / polishing my work tomorrow or Saturday. I have installed the ductTape patch for KAS1.3 and hopefully that will allow me to finish that part as well. Thank you for your kind words and credit.

  18. I did. you just need tankage for Kethane? what about ore? would be easy enough to write a MM patch that +PART (copy existing part) and substitutes in Kethane. Can Kethane be used for generators? tell me what you want, and I can/will whip up a patch to do so. Kindly include what part you want to be copied, and how much Kethane it should hold. (Unless someone objects). Will provide patch here.
