Help me with a circularized orbit
Mikenike replied to Mikenike's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Ok, thank you -
I made a base, just 2 kms from KSC, and practiced docking.
-
Hi guys, I have played KSP for around 6 months, and have made around 20 orbits, but never have circularized an orbit. How do you circularize an orbit? Also, what do you recommend for a lifter for a station with a large Sci lab, a hitchhiker, and batteries and solar panels, with RCS and docking ports?

A Thread for Writers to talk about Writing
Mikenike replied to Mister Dilsby's topic in KSP Fan Works
I made a base today, I have writers block, any ideas that I should try to make true. P.S I haven't really been able to do a space station, I am too dumb to design and launch a rocket of that size. I do however have many rovers that I have. @JERONIMO, hows chapter 4 coming? @Just Jim, hows the Duna story coming? -

SPACE STATIONS! Post your pictures here
Mikenike replied to tsunam1's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Holy cow!!! Why do you need so many solar panels, I could charge my tablet (A piece of junk, not very good, takes 12 hours to fully charge) with that. -
Can Kerbin Get More Love?
Mikenike replied to masterchiefan's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
I would love for cities to be added, especially ones like KSC, where you can drive around inside the city, and how about in those cities, you had a HQ there, one that you (the CEO or whatever you want to call him/her and their offices and such) could enter. How about an on-KSC hospital, and houses in the cities that only one Kerbal can enter, because it is their house. -
I think he wants it in stock, not in mods. I play on console, and I would love two things, Life Support (With optional button), and comets.

Thought of an orbital station that is the size of the planet, kinda like an orbital ring. I bet it wouldn't work well, especially me, because I cannot circularize to save my life. Maybe someone else can try out on a new save, so no one is lost that is important. -

Awwww. Cute. Needs a YT series and a mission report series to go along with it. -
Ha, I named myself that, because I love them so much. @JERONIMO

The next chapter will come out next Wednesday because I am out of town for the week. For chapter three I used everything up to now in my save.

EAS-1 External Command Seat: safest item ever?
Mikenike replied to Klapaucius's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I play on xbox, and I flipped a rover at 45M/s with the command seat as the highest point off the ground, and when it hit, the Kerbal died, but the chair survived, or on another occasion, same craft, same speed, it also exploded. Bug, Glitch, or Xbox, which do you think? -
Oh, that's cool.

Ain't that the truth! My day has gone ok, still writing the fourth chapter for the rover saga, I posted the third chapter last night as I couldn't sleep. Pleas write a mission report on this stuff, I want to hear more!! -
LOL. I have that one as well, and have tried to base my Saturn 5 rocket off of that one. I will be attending the 50th anniversary of the landing's things at Huntsville AB, and will be unable to stream the Apollo 11 anniversary mission, because I am out of town this week and don't think that I will have the time to research and launch the craft. (I think if I stream and get mixer on computer, I can bring the stream over and make it a video... At least I think I can.) Do you plan on landing on the Mun? The lander had a stage to get it off the surface of the Moon. Also, were's the cargo doors to the lander bay, the lander was basically made of aluminium, easy to .crush and even easier to destroy. I like what you did with the command module's ascent heat shield, never have seen it designed like that.

Chapter 3 Ensel wanted a new rover. Malus responeded to that, with the highly unstable "Moose". A thin rover, contrary to its name, the "Moose" was a open air rover, capable of unintended flips, and other, highly deadly in air maneuvers. Top speed was only 45 M/S. Ensel immediately took it for a spin, to the hills north of the Space Center. He only went about 10 KMs because he needed to recharge the two batteries, even though, they didn't have to fold up or unfold. Malus hopped in "Moose" Bull No. 2, and left to join Ensel. Just 0.2 Kms from Ensel, Malus' rover flipped, luckily, he survived. Malus didn't know how, because the command seat is the highest point of the viechle, and the first to hit the ground. Ensel contacted Jeb, who brought out a "Bee V2" for extraction, picking up Ensel and Malus on the ladders, where they got in the hitchhiker can and got transported back to the Space center. Meanwhile, Dr. Von Kerman had created a new rocket. Called the ComSatLx, the small rocket was to launch five times, each time carrying a single Comms probe to orbit. After launching and rough circularization, the probes would extend their Communotron16 and receive transmissions from KSC. Shortly after the success of the ComSatLx, Dr. Von Kerman wanted a large version of the probe sent up for a polar orbit, something like one of the previous probes had tried to do, but failed because it ran out of fuel before the full maneuver could be completed. Shortly after launch, the cargo area came off the rocket, (I was using 1.875M parts from the Making History DLC and encountered a problem, I couldn't find a core or AGU that fit the size, so I went with the 1.5M size, and that happened .). It was the first major disaster since the Lerger incident. No further launches were made.
