Kerbal characteristics
Fierce Wolf replied to jimmymcgoochie's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Nope, those just regulate the facial expressions the Kerbals have, and has no impact in gameplay. -

Biome overlay/boundaries when flying?
Fierce Wolf replied to paul23's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
Press ALT and F12 to bring up the console, look for the Cheats menu, and able the Biomes visible tag. Now you can see the biomes in the map, not by name but colored zones. It's super useful for landing close to 3-4 different biomes and make the most return for your cash in a single mission. -

I like to fiddle with my computers, therefore, PC is for me. Others might think otherwise.

Assemble a rocket so big, it actually pushes Kerbin downwards instead of moving. Yes, it might be bad for the ecosystem but you NEED that shinny thing in orbit (or rather, the planet will now orbit your station)

Landed a manned mission on Eeloo, the last celestial body for me to visit. I caught 'em all! edit: typo

Features and how to distinguish them
Fierce Wolf replied to ZootinZack's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
In my experience, flying low is inefficient in spoting features. Drive a rover on the surface and they will appear, trust me. -
Hello! I was wondering if there was a mod that overhauled current parachutes to make them more realistic, i.e. getting entangled if the craft spins, of slashing themselves at too high velocities. Thanks!

I don't know your tech level but try a couple of Cheetas, maybe Terriers. They will suffice both in space and for a lander in Duna to get in orbit again since they have enough thrust in the thin athmosphere. Sparks are useful too, if your lander is super lightweight. If you are going for something fancier, separate your lander engines from space faring using Atomic engines to get to Duna's orbit and back to Kerbin.

Apollo 12: The Next Step after the Giant Leap
Fierce Wolf replied to SQUAD's topic in KSP1 The Daily Kerbal
Where did that lightning strike came from? The engine had something to do with it? -
Will Skyhook tech be available in KSP 2?
Fierce Wolf replied to Bej Kerman's topic in Prelaunch KSP2 Discussion
It will have to be automatic, otherwise it's a docking at high relative speeds, which I have done before (and failed every single time). -
SSTO spaceplane not gaining speed
Fierce Wolf replied to mbound's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Been there. In your case, i'd throw away the wings and start over, they are killing the design. Sometimes, it just happens- 13 replies

Hard to say, what if you return and land on Kerbin? I remember I had some issue with this (not exactly that contract) and it was magically solved once landed.

My helicopter is uncontrollable. help
Fierce Wolf replied to jaunco325's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Real life helicopters have a tail rotor to mantain control of rotation. Without it, it would spin off in a similar fashion to than thing -
Your AP and PE must match the destination orbit's AP and PE. Furthermore, your An relative to destination must be less than 1º in difference. You are almost there!

I have bumped (see what i did there?) into this problem before. If i ever jettison my nose cones i simply turn left a little bit, decouple, point forward again and burn. But i'm always in for more parts. A nose cone with carring capabilities that could be opened, closed and jettisoned, for example, would be super cool to have.

Upgrade your Antenna Building at the space center. That way you can get control back from the sat
