Thanks. I'm actually surprised you agreed with me. I might be nit-picking, but the TRR-1 radial engine (the third LFO engine in this mod) could have its ISP checked, too. 325 seems a bit much for a radial engine if you compare it to stock ones, but least it's physically possible, so it's not bad by any means. Moreover, its size doesn't suggest 40 kN of thrust. It looks like 2 Spiders. I'm not saying it should have 4 kN (it weighs 10 times as much as a Spider, so it would have to be lighter) but... it really looks like something below 20 kN, just visually. The thrust on the other engines at least makes sense. The only way I could imagine it having 40 kN was if it were an SRB. Its nozzles are conical, not bell-shaped, after all.

320 ASL - 370 Vac. ISP on a smallish radial liquid fuel engine - OP and also Impossibru. I'm not sure what the author's intention was. Wouldn't you agree that it doesn't make sense? I'm not asking you to tell me to modify the config, I'm just pointing out what seems wrong. Also, I don't know how high those values should be to be balanced. By the way, even the ReStock+ authors didn't dare to create an engine above 355 Vac. ISP (that's a 4-nozzle Corgi with only 95 ASL to compensate for 355 in vacuum).

T That weird conical tank from RS+ is all over the place - it's even in the engines category in the green categories. Also, the Double KerryKan.

[1.4.1] Fuel Tanks Plus 2.0.2 (2018-03-14)
Krzeszny replied to NecroBones's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
If you had read literally the last post, the one above yours, you would have known that it's a well-known problem. I wish someone could update this mod and also fix the broken fuel amount-size-mass-cost ratios on 0.625 and cube tanks. Until that happens, I suggest removing them from your parts using the Janitor's Closet mod because they're really unbalanced. By the way, the liquid fuel-only tanks from this mod are not stock-a-like and it's for a good reason. I've just found out that the reason we can't switch LFO tanks tanks to 100% LF in the stock game is for internal realism reasons - nuclear engines don't run on RP-1, the equivalent to KSP's liquid fuel - nuclear engines use a different technology and run on cryogenic fuel, which takes about 10 times more IRL. Having it take 2 times the space in KSP seems OK and the liquid fuel tanks from this mod are OP in the sense that they're too small. -
[Old] KSC Extended - v2.2 - Expanding your KSC in style!
Krzeszny replied to Damon's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
It would be nice to at least have it in the recommendations. I assume it doesn't break saves or revert building levels etc. when installed mid-career. Edit: it works.- 403 replies

[Old] KSC Extended - v2.2 - Expanding your KSC in style!
Krzeszny replied to Damon's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Why does the CKAN version not require KerbinSide Remastered? KSR is available and up-to-date on CKAN. Also, is it compatible with career mode's nonupgraded buildings?- 403 replies

[KSP1.12.x] RealPlume - Stock v4.0.8 & RealPlume v13.3.2 [25/JUN/2021]
Krzeszny replied to Zorg's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Only when RealPlume is installed. What's more, I reinstalled it and it didn't appear after reinstallation but reappeared today. What environment mods are there for the trees and the KSC buildings? -
[1.2.2] Contract Pack: Clever Sats 1.4 (13/12/2016)
Krzeszny replied to severedsolo's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
These contracts have been fun until I realised after sending a few satellites that I get too many Clever Sats contracts, most of which pay very little and all of them, including the "move a satellite" ones (the worst) expire after 90 days. Why 90 days and not the default 1 or 2 days? I don't want to keep losing reputation to free up space for other contracts.- 131 replies

[1.12.5] Restock - Revamping KSP's art (August 28)
Krzeszny replied to Nertea's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
What an amazing update! ReStock is so good it should become an official free DLC. I've been wondering where the balloon-like rover tires were until I realised how big this update was. Yes, I'm new in KSP. -
CKAN (The Comprehensive Kerbal Archive Network); v1.28.0 - Dyson
Krzeszny replied to politas's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
You assumed I said "No" and I said that your assumption was wrong. I've been clicking "Yes". This is from today: I'll add that clicking "Yes" doesn't seem to do anything. It doesn't show the installation GUI. I've just reinstalled Spectra manually to see if it changes anything... tomorrow. Because this window appears only once a day. -

I'm saying no to your assumption. Should I press "Yes"? I meant to ask: Should I click "No"? -

Notice: Source code: n/A CKAN also shows me this for that mod and asks to reinstall, every day I launch CKAN: The following mods have had their data changed since the last update -
[1.9.x] Kerbonov Kn-2 Cockpit Module Continued
Krzeszny replied to linuxgurugamer's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Sorry, I didn't notice the installation instructions. This may sound like a rant but it's not supposed to. I didn't expect having to manually install a CKAN-compatible mod. You should change the mod's name from "Kerbonov Kn-2 Cockpit Module" to something like "Kerbonov cockpits and other parts (READ THE FORUM OP)". I didn't even know this mod added fuel tanks because the current name is misleading. By the way, is it illegal to include Squad's deprecated textures with the download just so the installation is automatic? This Mk1 hitchhiker is so perfect that it should be in the stock game! -
[1.9.x] Kerbonov Kn-2 Cockpit Module Continued
Krzeszny replied to linuxgurugamer's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I've spent almost an hour trying to find out which mod added 2 black fuel tanks. It's this one. And it's not even a conflict, much to my surprise! @linuxgurugamer This screenshot is from a vanilla KSP 1.9.1 instance with nothing except for this mod and its one dependency installed. That's it. Is this mod incompatible or just bugged? They're the FL-T1600 and the Rockomax X200-4. I installed this mod using CKAN. -
I think the FAQ is missing these questions: Is it realistic or balanced? Parachutes can't be used in high atmosphere because there aren't enough air molecules for slowing down (and in very high atmosphere, not enough to even open a parachute) but enough to burn the parachute. I know that ballutes are used for slowing stuff down above the speed of sound but I haven't found any cases of them being used in reality at orbital velocity, as of yet. Is there evidence that they could work in those conditions? The original author made them withstand 1 000 000 K because parachutes heat up 10 times as much because of game mechanics, but 10 times less is still 100 000 K. I'm not sure if it's the same thing, but stock heat shields can withstand only 3300 K (but they have... an ablator? ablator? ablators? they're ablative?). Ballutes don't have ablator, yet they're supposed to work in extreme heat. How? When it comes to balance, I think this mod makes slowing down too easy - one solution that works in all situations (or almost all). IMHO ballutes are cool (because they don't heat up) but too OP.

[1.12.5] Restock - Revamping KSP's art (August 28)
Krzeszny replied to Nertea's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
This mod is amazing but it has the same issues as stock - how the kerb do you tell fuel tank sizes apart, such as Rockomax from FL-T?! Color Coded Canisters conflicts with any texture mod (including ReStock and Ven) and doesn't have compatibility patches. Because of this, I'm forced to run stock with CCC or Ven which already has color-coded tanks (but I'm not a huge fan of Ven). -
I wish this mod had premade configs, such as for less smoothness and for less metal. Changing the smoothness manually for each file is pain.

CKAN (The Comprehensive Kerbal Archive Network); v1.28.0 - Dyson
Krzeszny replied to politas's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
This is your weekly CKAN report. Color Coded Canisters conflicts (majorly) with ReStock and Ven's Stock Parts Revamp. The conflict results in shrinking the length of the meshes visually, so that rockets have holes in them between fuel tank joints. The author of CCC is currently inactive.
