  1. We shall hope not, but hope is all we can personally do as players. So just keep waiting and complaining until KSP2 comes out, because maybe if we keep nagging they will add at least a small bug update. It truly shouldn't take 2 years to update a few simple things.
  2. I really wish I was on PC instead of PS4 so I could play with all those amazing mods! I am just jealous that your game looks so beautiful and your craft are so stylish!
  3. Wow folks, three days later and Juniper-2 is ready for launch. This time the Juniper vehicles KAL-1000 will feature a redundant parachute arming system that ensures deployment. This vehicle will use a prograde SAS stability to maintain an eastward flight. And 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, ignition and liftoff, stability clamps are released, the vehicle is headed skyward, the rocket gains a heading of 90 degrees perfectly and as planned, the SRBs are halfway done, 5 Km now, SRB burnout, 10 Km now, launch escape system activated, it deploys early to get away from the capsule, the capsule starts tumbling, this has gone much higher than the last mission already at 29 km, we've reached a peak here at 31,796 meters, now falling back towards the KSC, it looks like we're right over the VAB from here 100 m/s and 30.1 Km, still falling, 200 m/s at 28.5 Km, YES, parachute arming confined this flight will need no control, the parachute partially deploys and the capsule starts slowing down, 10 Km now, 7 Km and 220 m/s, we're a tad westward of the KSC by around 500 meters, PARACHUTE DEPLOY! and a soft touch down after 4 minutes 23 seconds of flight! That was exciting folks, don't forget to tune back in next time for BigStar's KAL Kontrolled Adventures!!!! Sadly today we had no comment from BigStar Kerman, we were told he had passed out during the fall at around 10 Km, they said he had "Become incapacitated from hunger..." due to having "eaten all the snacks during pre-flight checks.". Well folks, that shows that even BigStar Kerman himself is hungry for adventure!!!!
  4. A SMALL REPORT: Juniper-2 is already in the works and BigStar Kerman is being readied for his second flight. There are rumors that Juniper-3 will feature a much larger SRB first stage with 6 smaller SRB radial boosters, each booster will have a different burn time as to make them all separate at different times in order to control the direction of the launch.
  5. The Juniper-1, there it is sat on the pad, a small sounding rocket to test the abilities of such a mission, BigStar in the cockpit ready for launch! This would be the first rocket ever where he only had to press one button to make it work, here goes nothing! AND THERE IT WENT! off into the sky, SAS off for science reasons, no stability at all, it gains a heading of 273 degrees and continues heading west, the first stage decouples perfectly, and the launch escape system activates, due to drag the capsule starts flipping retrograde as the sepratrons are still running, the launch escape system decouples, and the capsule starts tumbling, slowly it reaches an apoapsis of 22,432 meters, still waiting for the parachute to deploy, it's been more than 30 seconds, BigStar might just have to save this one, 10 km in the sky and falling, in the background Bigstar hears the first stage hit the ground he gets scared and presses the staging button to deploy the parachute, falling still, chute ready to deploy, it deploys what feels a little late, and perfectly he touches the ground, seconds later the explosions from the launch escape system hitting the ground near by ring in his ears! WOW FOLKS! What a mission! And he only had to press two buttons! What a wonder! Stay tuned for more of BigStars KAL Kontrolled Rocketry Adventures!!!!! A comment from BigStar Kerman: It was quite the flight, I've never had such ease flying, or well, not flying a rocket before. I just pretty much sat there and let it do its thing. Jeb was of course jealous that I was the one that got to save the day this time hehehe. Once I hit 10 kilometres I knew for sure that the KAL wasn't going to deploy the chute, but I waited until 3 kilometres to actually press the button in case there was a malfunction in the timing ore anything else. I'll be speaking to the engineers on ways that this could be improved, such as an auto-SAS function, which sounds repetitive, but it might just work, some way to keep the capsule headed safely towards the eastern seas. I hope that one of the exceptions for the multi-body physics will be right there in the Kerbin SOI, I'd love to be able to set up an Armstrong Cycler for the Mun where it actually swings around the Mun in an infinity symbol that moves around Kerbin slowly so we can get close to the Mun. Also, I bet there is a Lagrangian point or some sort of cycler orbit between the Mun and Minmus that would be perfect for transfers.

  9. Well for me it would be landing on Duna, currently, that's the only planet I've landed Kerbals on. I made this super complicated mission where I sent two different vessels to Duna at the same time, one for landing, one for return. I made it so the return ship would enter Duna's SOI 3 days after the lander got to the surface. I re-entered the lander into Duna's atmo, almost exploded because the inflatable heatshield tried flipping me (for a reason I later figured out and learned to just remove the heatshield), then I landed it did science and stuff, deployed the solar panel's, etc. Then I switched over to the return ship, was able to get an Ike encounter after slowing down a bit, so I captured around Ike. Then I switched back over to the lander, flew into orbit, landed on Ike, rendezvoused with the return ship, then I went home. That mission was big because my first Duna mission failed in a very terrible manor, and since I'm on PS4, it is a hassle to quicksave since we don't have a button on the controller for it. But before that it was Rendezvous and docking, when that happened I jumped off my couch and started dancing, then I woke my dad up because he wanted to know when I was able to dock so he could see it. And in celebration, I re-entered both the capsules at the same time while they were still docked and landed them. Landing on the Mun though wasn't a challenge in science mode, but not so much for career.
  10. I mean, if you build a radiator out of the right material, with it being futuristic KSP and all, it would definitely withstand a small ankle deep dip in the atmo.
  11. That is one of the reasons, we have extremely advanced technology and these companies refuse to put it into our new systems, it is annoying.

I noticed something on the page where they were talking about the keyboard controls for the PS5/Xbox Series X|S and I saw that it said that you could grab parts, I'm wondering, do the more advanced consoles have the newer updates but not the older ones? I believe the last update I got for KSP was a bug update, and that was almost two years ago. I've complained about this multiple times and I won't stop until we get an update. Please, someone just update the game, it shouldn't take a team of multiple people more than 2 years to code an update. I've seen single person developer games get updated every couple of months before, advanced games too. So even if it is just a bug update, please give it to us. Not everyone can afford a new console or a PC, but they still do what they can to play the game, that's why I play on PS4, yes I'm saving up for a PS5, but please, just for now, give us an update or at least tell us that you're working on one, because I've heard virtually nothing over the past 2 years about PS4 and Xbox One getting updates, so a heads up that you're working on one would do just fine too.

Well, sadly you can't change the controls on PS4 because if you could, I would, but the reason that it is reversed is because when you push left on the stick, you are making the RCS come out the left side and push your right, I know that there is some way to change this by I think reversing the control on your probe core, but I'm not entirely sure.

  15. Well, I have been playing on PS4 for a while, so I can help! You can use the regular controls on a keyboard, but here are the controls for controller. Stage: X Toggle SAS: O Toggle RCS: L1 + O Open HUD Radial Menu: Δ Toggle Brakes: □ Toggle Landing Gear: L1 + □ Action Group Radial Menu: Right on the D-Pad Special Action Group Radial Menu: Left on the D-Pad Throttle Up/Down Immediately: Up/Down on the D-Pad Throttle Up/Down Slowly: Hold Up/Down on the D-Pad + L1 Toggle Mouse: Click Left Stick Toggle Camera Mode: Click Right Stick Toggle Staging Lock: L1 + X Toggle IVA View: L1 + Click Right Stick Toggle Mapview: L1 + R1 For RCS controls, you must toggle docking mode in the HUD radial menu, you will have to test the controls in orbit because they tend to differ based on the craft. Translate Forward/Backward: L1/L2 Translate Up/Down, Left/Right: Left Stick Those are all the controls I can think of now, if you ever need any help with more controls, just DM me.
  16. Should have my entry up in an hour or so for STS-1, I need to first, make the video, then edit it. I play on PS4 so I have to make videos instead of screenshots. My shuttle is the closest model I can get to the real thing, so doing those other missions is going to be a bit odd, I've already made a few modifications so I can hook up an interplanetary transfer stage where the normal ET would go. My interplanetary missions will look odd because there will have to be two shuttles docked to the transfer stage so the thrust is inline with the center of mass, but I'm not sure if that will count, even if it doesn't I will still post it here so people can see how I do my missions. And another thing is, if the shuttle design that @Austin_Kerman recommended is valid, then you are going to see some wild entries from me.

  19. Well, I like to celebrate the anniversary of my first second of not dying, and the day that follows through until the middle of the night specifically.

Actually, that wouldn't be the issue, I am in a program called NASA HUNCH and I my team is going to the finals in Houston, TX, NASA HUNCH is specifically made for teenagers in high school, as it says in the name: High school students United with NASA to Create Hardware. Yes I understand that it is a government agency, but that doesn't really contribute to anything on restrictions. I am literally designing something plenty times in magnitude more complicated than that of something in Kerbal Space Program, we 3D print, manufacture, design, and do many more things such as using dangerous machinery like ban-saws. So a contest like this that is much safer should be able to allow people of a minimum age of 14 to go.
  21. They should release it on November 17th, cause that is my anniversary of not having died yet.
  22. I don't see why 18 is the limit for contests like this. Not like we're doing anything to ourselves other than transporting ourselves someplace, I understand reasons like not wanting to have to have a parent there to supervise, but what about emancipated citizens? Another thing that's funny is that we can drive at 16 which is extremely dangerous, but we can't do something simple as going to Houston and standing in a room where people are controlling a rocket. This would be my absolute dream to win this contest and be at launch control, but sadly I haven't gone around the sun enough times to do so. I myself have stood in the room where they monitor the ISS, the rooms where the Apollo and Gemini missions were flown, I've stood a couple hundred feet away from a fully stacked Starship, touched a Saturn V and other early space age rockets, but I can't see this from anything other than a television or computer screen? The disappointment that is ageism.
