  1. Congratulations to all the winners who are enriching our Kerbal lives.
  2. Apart from giving wheels sound this has the potential for making submarine sounds, creaks, moans, bubble sounds etc.
  3. While looking for all the configs I ever posted I stumbled upon a link to a member who has created a way to add new sounds to craft. The bit that caught my eye was giving them to wheels. I downloaded from Git hub and once I worked out you had to provide your own sound files, it works a treat. no more silent running. If you don't already know about it you should check it out.

  4. Where have all the @RealKerbal3x's gone and where are all the gods?
  5. Granted. He wishes for a potato that is layed by a chicken and eggs that are root vegetables. I wish for a 100 teraflop cpu and a 2 terabyte solid state drive. Oh and a graphics card that can keep up.
  6. Seriously, four days and then we post simultaneously. In good quality oil I hope. Granted. You are the meat in the sandwich between two large ladies called Bologna. I wish for some nice chips to go with my motherboard.
  7. Left this alone thinking someone would answer you, but four days later. Granted. You thought you were the exception but you were deceived. I wish I had backed up all my stuff to an external drive before my hard drive crashed.
  8. My hard drive died so I will be building this all again almost from scratch. Thankfully had some configs and a few textures in another thread.
  9. As the man reading the international phone book said. "That is the first page of the A's done.
  10. If you have the Eagle Platform Config, it appears to have a missing bracket at the end. Just add it back in and it should be right.
  11. Now to read through every thread I have been on. Feel like I am walking on eggshells with the rebuild, keep waiting for the backup drive to crash too. Remembering to copy to the external regularly. I just got 3 instances of KSP up. 1.10.1 , 1.11.2 and 1.12.1 Downloading my own mod and installing it was surreal. The winner of Author of the most mods I have downloaded from is @linuxgurugamer At least 3 of which take up less than a megabyte. He rocks and makes KSP life so much better. Ok, here I go down the rabbit hole.
  12. Just here to find every config I ever posted and download them to slightly recover what I lost. Hi @Caerfinon
  13. Skip them all as the files already in the Game data folder have younger dates. It seems you got a newer community category kit when you reinstalled.
  14. What feels like 100 gb later and yet still not as many mods as before, everything with a back up copy, still got paint.net to get and whatever my hex editor was called, not to mention going back over my threads to find configs I have left so I don't have to re think them up. Man I wish I had put up the internal for the Rover config, that is going to take a while to do again. On I plod.
  15. I don't use steam but I would go with uninstall, then go and make sure it i completely gone with nothing left. then reinstall. If that doesn't do it then get the installer from the source, as I have just done again after my hard drive died and I lost everything from the last 2 years that was on my computer. And be smarter than me and make copies of everything and put them on an external hard drive.
  16. Did you install it in a new folder with a new folder name or did you attempt to overwrite the old folder. You need a new pristine game. If you just put it back in the same folder without fully deleting the contents first you will keep getting problems. If you have your saves, craft files and mod installers separate then get rid of the old folder and contents COMPLETELY. Otherwise you will never get anywhere. If the corruption is in your persistent save then don't put it back in, just the craft files and freshly installed mods. And make sure you extract them as they instruct. Don't cut and paste. If there is something in them you don't want then just remove it after extraction but before loading the game up.
  17. Ok writing (not righting) I lost everything fo the last 2 years. Way before KSP was in my life. I am going to have dowwnload everyhing from scratch including my own mod. The only custom craft I will have will be through downloading what I have put up on kerbal X, pics from what I have put up here. I had just done all the work on the Kerbin Rover except for photos and write up for Spacedock. Going to have to start from scratch, all the Space1999 work gone. All editing software. etc . Will be swearing to myself alot for a while. Hope you all are smarter than me and have backed up all your work. Peace out brothers.

Yep, it was nice of that guy to put up configs and textures for everyone so that I can recover some of my work. :D

When I upgraded my PC in about September 2019 I transferred the hard drives from my old PC to my new one. It had everything that was on the old computer EXSEPT everything I had in KSP including mods and custom craft files. I had the game itself but all of those things were lost…

Sad I feel that you too know the pain.

  19. I am borrowing a computer to right this. My main hard drive seems to have failed and with it all my work over the last year. I have not been able to retrieve anything as yet. I will most likely be a while before I can come back. Hope you are all alright yourselves. Take care.

Hate to hear this. I don't know the exact failure, or the hard drive type, but depending on circumstances you can sometimes literally freeze a hard drive and get it to work for short periods. Good luck.

Ah darn that’s sucks, good luck finding a solution.

  21. No. My memory is Swiss Cheese. Great at remembering useless facts but everything else falls through the holes. Bet @Spaceman.Spiff has Hobbes to help him remember.
  22. Ok. Finally got the IVA how I want. The spare wheels now have an extra purpose to be a COM offset that is calibrated to the vehicle and adjustable. The engine is now a true hybrid, it no longer uses a converter but rather a mini turbine that turns an alternator to charge the battery for the electric drive train. Increase the the turbine throttle and no more dead silent vehicle, rather you get a reasonable rumbling engine sound. Just got to do some photo editing and a write up and then it is going on Spacedock.
  23. Nope, Snug in his bed. I reckon @Caerfinon has had his morning cup of coffee by now.
