i made a JNSQ ssto which is easier than it seems. It's just another 1.5km/s which is less than Minmus in stock, and my fuel margins were less tight than on minmus (i still had 700m/s left in orbit!) Same plane as Minmus SSTO. Shortly after breaking the sound barrier. We reached 1576m/s before activating the Nerv's and then going closed-cycle. Aside from long burn times, it's not all that hard to reach orbit. It's just a lot harder to go interplanetary. Now in orbit! Splashdown. I checked and only one part- the second fuel tank - was lost. All the 8 engines actually survived but are below the water. We splashed a kilometer from shore, and the plane with its flawed aerodynamics was basically uncontrollable through the descent, but with heat resistant wings and radiators, it survived re-entry, at least.

This is ambient stars revived, but with only one binary pair of stars. They have 1.108M and 1.445L which puts them as G0V. Maybe I will tweak one to be a bit larger and so on for realism, but they share a barycrnter and orbit each other every day. This configuration puts a habitable zone at 1.7AU (64GM in JNSQ scale), and orbiting every 365 days. All the other planets from LSR have been repositioned into the system to give a starting kick off of 18 bodies. Revan will not be the homeworld, it’s too far out. Instead… well, the community will have to come up with a body. To come up with a body: State the name of the body. If it has one. If not, it will be put up for naming. You can also name some of my LSR bodies as well. State the radius and gravity of the body. It’s in JNSQ scale, where Kerbin for reference has 1600km and 1G. Make it realistic and i’ll tweak if necessary. Larger bodies get denser and bodies further away that are icy are less dense, and as a rule of thumb a double in radius= a double in gravity or slightly more. If there is an atmosphere, say so and specify what it’s composed mainly of. I will calculate stuff like the atmosphere height myself. Finally, state the orbital parameters (semi major axis and parent body), as well as a brief description of the body like it’s color and overall terrain, as well as some specifications that may be needed like a high inclination, rings or eccentricity. If your planet is in the way of another, it may be sent into a trojan orbit or relocated. Please hold back on habitable planets and make them interesting rather than what Vera (a clitche habitable planet is like). (In LSR, Revan is somewhat cold and heavy (and also the homeworld), Perbi has more gravity than Eve and double the radius and Heyu doesn’t have oxygen which technically doesn’t even make it habitable. please.suggest.moons if you would like to name a body, please specificy which one it is using provisional code or name. If the name is in use, you will be quoted. Provisional names work the same way as LSR. should this be forum games? i will *try* to make the body myself if the suggestions go slowly, but i’m also looking to recruit developers. Just respond to me in the reply section.

After learning how to actually make moon homeworlds without the game crashing, I decided to have some fun. I didn't take any pictures until I decided to make Vera a binary with Revan. I set the SOI just 1 km above the surface of Vera and the orbit such that the 2 only get 2 kilometers from each other. (vera and revan both aren't tidally locked to each other) Prior experiment: Just a normal binary viewed from high Revan latitudes. MAIN Experiment: this is just an edited version of LSR, here are the body stats: Radius Gravity Mass (JNSQ Kerbin) Orbital velocity usual distance Revan 2000 km 1.38g 2.156 5200m/s 1.1AU Vera 1650 km 0.96g 1.020 3800m/s 0.85AU Vera closing in on Revan This actually looks pretty cool. If only it could happen IRL: https://youtu.be/FWS74e4nFpM Video link. Pls watch from the forums whole mod is in 2.5x scale

N -71 blitz has been happenign go go go When you win, please post the following with the updated tally. Game Rules. These are the game rules. As per instructions from the moderators. There is to be no role play elements to the battle. Simple exclamations that we are getting ahead or falling behind, or saying you need help are fine, but no suggestion that you are part of an army or fantasy faction in some epic confrontation. It is more or less attempting to reach a goal line and passing to another with the same goal or getting intercepted by someone going the other way. There is a term used in the forums called "Being Ninja'd". Basically if while you are typing your post someone else posts a move and you don't see it till you have refreshed your page. This then causes you to have to edit your post to correct for the new number. It is then not unheard of for someone to post before you have had a chance to edit your post and so a cascade effect happens. To make clear your original intent in the hopes of lessening this, These are the rules for posting as follows. When posting please preface your number by one of 4 letters. P if you are trying to get the score to +75 N if you are trying to get the score to -75 Z if your goal is to get the score to zero C if you are chaotic and just post as you feel, but your number must only be 1 different from the last post put. The addition of the number 1 or the subtraction of the number 1. By doing this a player can see what you intended to put and post knowing what it would be if you had not been ninja'd. There is a 5 minute rule for individual number posts done by you, this is to minimize spam and ninja posting. To post a new number post, there are 4 rules that must be followed for it to be considered valid. To make a valid number post, 1: Your previous post must say it was made 5 minutes or greater before your current. 2: Any other player must have posted a number post between your last post and your new post. 3: Your post must be only 1 number different from the last post. Clarification: The number must be the whole number known as 1, spelt One. Either the addition of 1 or the subtraction of 1. 4: Your number must have a preface letter. All new games must start with a "0" . If you posted the winning post, be it +75 or -75 , then it is asked that you copy this post into a new post and update the tally so that this is at the beginning of a new game. Tally of victories positives 15 negatives (will be) 9

I made a Revan Orbiter for RSS Scale. Revan in RSS Scale is 10,400m/s orbit velocity, 85km atmosphere (actually 106km due to a bug), and 1.38g. The ASL pressure is 2.9ATM but due to a sigma dimensions bug it's 1 ATM, and rises to 1.7ATM before dropping like normal. That's an advantage of us, since we can accelerate at a higher TWR and get past the thicker bits faster rather than crawling up. The rocket probably would barely reach orbit without that. Separation of the booster stage. Very quickly, the first stage rotates from being 45 degrees above the horizon to almost at the horizon. The first stage also runs out very fast, and the apoapsis of the current orbit is 160km. The visual artefacts start popping up high above Welcome Back Lake. It's a scatterer+sigma issue, and the velocity is over 3000m/s. Due to the low TWR of the middle stages, it took 12 minutes to reach orbit and I suffered a loss in vertical speed during the ascent, losing up to 500m/s. I decided to kill the speed immediately rather than reaching orbit as pitching 30-40 degrees up gave us 60% of the boost from the pitch while only suffering 25% from cosine losses. I managed to stabilise the orbit at 110 kilometers, and it took 6 stages. Now in orbit. Still had some fuel left in orbit, so I decided to use the 4500m/s to escape revan. Final orbit sends us nearly to Vera's orbit. BONUS: Minmus SSTO in an LMP Server! No quicksaving or reverting flights. Couldn't plant a flag due to the fairing, since I needed to return. Managed to single-aerobrake the landing after slowing down using my remaining liquid fuel. Very unstable in flight and wants to go backwards, but I landed it on water, with the craft barely surviving. Part count is 50 and the mass is something like 40 tons. the engines alone are half the mass, I need to cut down on them (like 2 rapiers and 2 nervs rather than 4 each) to get a better range.
