  1. LSR is out, but I didn’t play test it yet. Don’t download it yet until I give you a go. I’m playtesting it now! Edit: it has been playtested and it works!
  2. Download on Github (LATEST VERSION) (983MB) | Discord Server (Official) No issues have been detected with 1.3.1 yet! Download older version on SpaceDock (1.2.0)(735MB) REQUIRES KOPERNICUS, KOPERNICUS EXPANSION AND NIAKO UTILS. CKAN Indexed - Install Kopernicus Expansion as well. https://spacedock.info/mod/3462/LSR Scatterer Configs - scatterrer https://spacedock.info/mod/3460/LSR Rescale - Stock Scale - rescale to 1x DISCLAIMER: No support shall be given to players that do not provide the relevant part of ksp.log, or players that experience bugs already pointed out by someone else, including me. DISCLAIMER: Some of the moons do not have names. Open to suggestions in LSR Discord. Linbol System Rebirth is a new mod designed in the larger JNSQ (1/4 IRL Scale) size that aims to swap the Kerbol System to an unfamilliar yet remarkably similar planetary system to explore, with 21 new bodies to visit, and a lot more to come. The mod is a suitable challenge for seasoned players and yet there are patches and tips to make the planetary system more enjoyable for newcomers. A lot of players may come here from JNSQ, so this pack feels halfway between JNSQ and RSS, presenting much larger worlds with more realistic ascent trajectories and yet not making it too difficult to launch payloads in the super-low-twr engines and overly heavy LF-OX fuel tanks that stock provides. - Explore 4 new stars in two pairs of binaries, with the main one consisting of a 1.2 sun mass and a 0.3 sun mass star (Aa+Ab) and the secondary consisting of a 0.7+0.5 sun mass star (Ba+Bb). Classes are F7V, M3V, K5V and DA3.5 respectively, the last star is a super-dense, 73500g white dwarf! - 5 new gas planets to explore, two of which are in one system, with masses ranging from 4 to 600 Kerbin masses and colors from yellow-brown to dark blue. Many moons orbit these gas planets for probes to explore - Lots of planets/moons with atmospheres to land on and sample. Almost every body is unique from one another. - Hazardous bodies with solid surfaces for those that haven't had enough of a challenge - there are 3 of them, and one is a super-earth 16 times heavier than Kerbin. - Scatterer+Stock Scale Rescale configs downloaded separately - All bodies and atmospheres are realistic with much planning involved. - 8k textures to make bodies have high detail. Each pixel is about 4km^2 on kerbin with the 2k textures while on Revan (the homeworld) there are 8k textures that give a 2.2km^2 pixel. 3. Does this look good? (I spent not much time on this planet compared to others since i'm a bit busy)
  4. EVE effects are out and they are great! (by my standards). Most of them are *partially* based off real life cloud maps. Scatterer… well that’s more complicated and I can’t find a good place to learn the full syntax, not even on Discord (Kopernicus server). You can do that image splitting quite easily on gimp. Learn a basic tutorial and you should be able to use the “rectangular select” tool to do so. But beware: avoid three things: 1) seams. Basically abrupt endings in the cloud pattern that will look very horrible in game. Since the texture is wrap around, you’ll also have to use Layer>Offset tool to make sure it’s tileable as well. 2)Polar distortion. as with any equirectangular maps, the poles tend to get a little bit distorted. There are ways to reduce this, but it’s best to leave the poles untouched. 3)The cloud map will be inverted in-game.
  5. It isn’t, at least not unless he made a custom compatibility for it. The asteroids will be way too close to the sun.
  6. The easiest way to make a cloud map is to just take earth’s cloud map and convert the black to alpha. You can get earths cloud map on the internet.
  7. i saw saturn through a 70mm refractor. the magnification was 120x and it appeared as a small disc to me with a noticeable cut where the rings were. (i couldn’t see the actual ring unless i was on a lower magnification). the telescope itself is 3 years old and was only used twice before this, because i thought it broke. turned out not to be the case!
  8. I stopped planning the Eve thing since its a bit hard (aerodynamically) and there are many easier things to do in the Kerbol System, including tylo, which doesn't need much (just two ordinary stages) and is fun! Here are some images I got from my plane flying over Vera with KopernicusExpansion (there is a small bug in 0.9.2). The terrain looks pretty good. The planet is 1650km radius (2.5x scale) and otherwise similar to kerbin with the exception of the (fixed) rings. These mountains are about 15km and are above the 'snow line' which is ~7km on this warm planet. The rings visible here. Slightly blocky. Not too bad up close though.
  9. i’m thinking the best way to send you the planet would be on spacedock.info (where I uploaded LSR), and since I do want the planet to be more interesting than an atmospheric Eeloo, I would suggest a nitrogen ocean which would require a thicker (0.1) atm atmosphere and slightly latger specs, as well as orbiting beyond eeloo (176G) but i think it should be worth it.
  10. i have some free time now, starting work. will finish in 3 days (sorry)
  11. I made a manned mission to Eve that failed. I thought it wouldn’t be too hard after LSR and the craft probably would have made it, if not for the craft strangely overturning on entry. Also, I did need a fuel tanker which would dock in an eccentric orbit that the main craft left off and re-filled the tank. I had so much fuel that I decided to land the tanker on the Mun and return. (it did not survive re-entry). I will keep you updated and send a mission with pics when i get a successful attempt.
  12. i challenge you to a Revan SSTO. I had a go at a Vera SSTO, easier than JNSQ kerbin, from the surface to orbit and back (and failed). Probably the ssto was overkill.
  13. i would prefer to just have a minimalist setup (the main star+alter earth and it’s moons) for my ssto mission just to show off some of the moons along the way without 5fps or 15GB ram usage.
  14. it adds to the meme tbh WAIT THAT WAS 5 MONTHS AGO
