Some similar KSP1 images, for comparison.. -
I expect nothing from modders, they don't owe us anything because they don't get paid. Anyway, I'm sure the game will look great eventually, really not worried. Right now they're optimizing for potato PCs. Real question is.. will weather visuals be included in the game or be released as a DLC? That's where the real immersion game changer is.

But do you really want to spend 50-60$ on a 2023 game that needs mods to look good?

They did say on Discord that it's just a "chill beats" stream to kick things off. -
I think it's safe to assume that the beta gameplay videos are using low graphics settings, to improve frame rate.

Maybe it's going to be released soon. Although... I would prefer hearing the music in-game for the first time. -

Screenshots: It looks beautiful! And the music.. out of this world, very-very good soundtrack! The lighting and reflections are amazing. The jaggies, clouds and trees... they're beta. Would have liked to see how Kerbol reflects in the ocean. A few similar KSP1 images for comparison:

Simple question: are EVA construction mechanics included in EA at launch? [snip] I'm fairly certain EVA construction will not be included in EA at launch. Have not heard even a whisper of this.

Is this a known bug? It's in 1.12.5 - it broke the CommNet (no signal).

Long story short, Kerbalism Science and experiments should be either recorded passive sensors or stand-alone mini-games. And science should give actionable and useful information for future missions. And we need a planetarium type visualization for celestial bodies with history and details.

What will be your ideal craft or colony?
Vl3d replied to GoldForest's topic in Prelaunch KSP2 Discussion
Myself and other players DO NOT WANT buggy mods that fulfill base game mechanics. All they do is insert bugs and even if they were welcome in KSP1 because of how indie the game was, KSP2 has a big team and budget and corporate backing. Robotics should be implemented by the devs when they can, at the highest standard of quality. -
Kerbal Space Program 2: Episode 7 - Recording Rockets
Vl3d replied to Intercept Games's topic in Prelaunch KSP2 Discussion
Is the soundtrack going to be released before or at the moment of EA launch or later? @Ghostii_Space -
Added "Diverse condensation trails (sonic boom cones)" to the wishlist for visuals. They also appear in the cinematic trailer.

Video: How about those rocket sounds though?

Read the descriptions, some are for KSP2 and most for an unannounced game. -

1. Players should know EXACTLY what they are buying at EA release. The marketing should be 100% transparent and list all the features. 2. If you think that hype just builds up while the game is in EA, you're wrong. There is not going to be more interest in a game than there is now at first release. We're talking about a long awaited sequel to a successful game and a well known franchise, not some unknown independent early access prototype. 3. The game is going to become so complicated down the road that "the masses" will feel left behind and overwhelmed. The best time to start playing it is now, when it's a simple game with fewer mechanics. Just look at Paradox games - why would you buy all the dlc at once when you just want to learn the base game? 4. Intercept is already doing massive hiring for their new unannounced game. Their focus is changing. KSP2 needs to be successful now, not after 2 years. -

I think the topic title should refer to the marketing campaign, not the audio (there's another thread for that). I think we're all very willing to get super hyped for the game and want to see as much promotional material as we can up until release. I mean.. there should really be at least a month of intense marketing for it, if not for the current community, at least to attract new players. I hope we're getting a new cinematic trailer soon. -
This is wonderful! I hope down the line we will also hear sound effects that muffle the audio taking into account camera movement with parameters like mach angle, velocity and distance, so we can experience what it's like to be close / far away / in front of / behind the rocket. I'm sure the devs have / will create such a dynamic system for the game.
