  1. Dazzle the sheep with spectacle. I'll take thermometer images any day. That's what brings science points and unlocks parts. That's the good stuff...
  2. Nice to hear that the new devs are getting onboarded quickly.
  3. [snip] For those who are impatient about the game... Well, I trained my nerves on Mount and Blade Bannerlord development
  4. If it's any consolidation, you are one of those on the other side of the fence who's actually making good points...
  5. You can use this to post images, then grab a link and click insert image from URL button at the bottom right corner of text editor.
  6. The more I read through the forum, the less I engage into these conversations. Happy or unhappy, the game will end up somewhere eventually. I'm having fun, even now, and battling naysayers won't change their opinion one iota. Only a fraction of them make valid points and understandable arguments, and they're open to discussion. The rest just keep parroting the same thing, while actively dodging counter-args.
  7. Apparently, they do: --- I think it is safe to assume they do. I don't think QA team can answer fully why they weren't fixed yet. As far as I understand, they're working on all features in parallel. Maybe some of those fixes are delayed for later, so they don't have to fix them twice... Or, the cause is still unknown...
  8. Just side boosters (no fins) and their engines are 8. I don't know how you've managed to count only ~20 parts... This is an average rocket of an average player. When testing, start small, due to reasons mentioned in the original post.
  9. True, but I would still appreciate some more info on what is being worked on. I understand that there are some risks when communicating this with "casual community". As an example, we are working to fix X, but at the last week, you figure out that fixing X opened another can of worms, and patch is better off without it,and than everyone goes "waaah, false promises, grrrr!!!" I guess middle ground needs to exist there as well. But at least some vague hints in what direction development is going, rather than we're working on it. EA has been released. Courtains have fallen. No need for so much secrecy to keep up the hype now. Dunno...
  10. I don't get why daily player percentage is relevant. Especially at this early stage. I've stopped playing actively two weeks ago, simply because I've reached limit on what I can do / what is currently present. But that doesn't mean I have lost interest in the game.
  11. Not necessarily procedural, but at least... somewhat procedural? I don't see a reason to have same fuel tank with 3 different lengths, when I can have one fuel tank and a slider from 1 to 3 (or whatever). It would do great for reducing part count, and better consistency among parts. Check hydrogen tanks for example. SM size has only one very long variant. Why?
  12. Maybe I wasn't going back enough. PM is still a topic of discussion according to Nate. I hate it more and more with each passing day, tbh. Symmetry stuff, agreed as of now, but there's no mention if it is going to stay that way. dV restriction while planning will be changed. Career mode... I can't answer that without bias, since I never cared much about it. I am curious what Adventure mode will include though.
  13. Alas, me too. However, I am wondering if the current bugs can be fixed within, say... 5 patches, so the rest of the roadmap can come faster.
  14. Well sure. The problem is in how many patches.
  15. Ah yes. The internal tools. Unity of purpose. Freedom of design. Not answering to any management. The weirdest and most interesting pieces of software.
  16. Only one for now. I don't know about the rest yet. @Rosten while I am not in a game dev, I can relate somewhat. In most software, you can reatrain user actions, and there are only so many ways user can interact with it, so tracking bugs is easier. In games, not so much. In games like KSP, you can throw whole concept in a trash can.
  17. I can't see it. Unless it's a fully working game with some features missing... In which case, count me out from that discussion, it already happened. I also don't get the rest of your answer.
  18. If patches are gonna get even more spaced out, a regular two week update on development's... development (?)... would be nice. Just don't leave us in the dark. It's cold out here, and we are alone
  19. Everybody forgot one thing. How would that be incorporated with colonies? I guess kerbals will have some work to do outside of "space houses". Monitor mining equipment, make zen gardens with the sand from duna, etc... Interesting to ponder upon, but more thought would be needed to incorporate it properly.
  20. I have already written several times - do not make provocative statements against the background of the depressing state of the game Written several times where?
  21. @Alexoff I am openly asking... What do you want? Is it so difficult to answer?
  22. Nope. You can search around the forum and find plenty of things I am dissatisfied about. But I am aware how much time is required to sort that out, and I don't make silly statements and requests. I mean, what do you want them to do at this point? Hide holidays? Worst idea ever (explained above). Work to death? I'm repeating myself...
  23. If after 2 months of patches you are burning out your team What about previous 2 (also huge assumption) of trying to meet the release deadline? Things add up quickly. Edit: It's also hilarious that we're talking months here. The worst case I've been in was 2.5 weeks of 6 days a week with 10-12 hour work with no break. After seeing that the end was nowhere near in sight, I just... declared that I was done with such schedule. I got fired of course, but good riddance anyways.
