Release KSP2 Release Notes - Update v0.1.1.0
cocoscacao replied to Intercept Games's topic in KSP2 Dev Updates
@Siska It should be working normally after 1st patch. It works for me. -
Not by a long shot. I start every new campaign with "A day in life of Jebediah Kerman" experience playthrough. First I drive into the parking. Curse at Bob Kerman for taking my parking spot, again. Bloody scientists. Think they run the world, or something. Then I walk towards the astronaut complex for a morning coffee... and so on.

Docking and undocking works for you? I still get blown to smithereens...

Maybe they wish to change KSC layout? I mean, did you see how far those garages are from the VAB?? You don't honestly expect Kerbals to walk all that way, every day to their workplace, right? This was total immersion, and therefore game-breaking issue for me, that I nearly took the refund the second I saw it.

So let's assume they've released an inferior version of maneuver node... Then they have to waste time fixing it for the next patch... Even though they've got it working on some other branch... I don't get it... More clarification please?

Release KSP2 Release Notes - Update v0.1.1.0
cocoscacao replied to Intercept Games's topic in KSP2 Dev Updates
I've ranted in one of the topics that the new maneuver node arrows are crap, and that KSP 1 symbols we're better. One patch later, behold, the node was restyled. Being a narcissist that I am, I'll continue to believe that my input forced them to change it, just the way I like it. On a more serious note, they're experimenting with new stuff and designs, and it is best to iron out some of the things early. I really appreciate an opportunity for fans to partially dictate game development. You don't see that often, if ever. -
Next time, I will not be so forgiving I've noticed it drifts slightly (and incrementally) under time warp. But it stays perfectly on focus in real time.
-
@Draradech Thanks, but I can get around the problem. I'm just pondering upon KSP development.
-
@whatsEJstandfor I mean... duh... git branches and all. But this is a core feature. I would assume that, by now, it is done, dusted, and shared among all of them.
-
That would mean there are 2 separate builds. One internal, and one for EA. Hiding colony and rocket parts from us is one thing, but this is a core feature.
-
The thing that worries me greatly is maneuver node (MN) precision. If you go with the easiest thing, set one up for the Mun, and lock SAS on target, following those instructions results in waaaay off trajectory. Same thing was present in KSP 1. How I'm I supposed to hit another star system like this, I dunno... I'm hoping this is one of the biggest priorities for the dev team.

@Superfluous J @Ithirahad I was joking This patch is awesome

If my math isn't rusty -> v0.1.1.0 x 10 patches = v1.1.0.0

Release KSP2 Release Notes - Update v0.1.1.0

Plus patch download time -
Yeah, and after that, I'd have a cup of coffee. Maybe check email. Get sidetracked with a cat video. A colleague asks me to go to the shop with him to grab snacks for the team. Dammit, it's already lunch time... Ungh, I guess we'll release it with our bellies full. Maybe have another coffee for better digestion. Tell colleagues a joke. Show them that funny cat video from earlier. It's 17:30 already?!? Oh buggers, we'll do it tomorrow...
-
I'm just curious what has been patched so far, even if they don't release it today.
-
I wonder who the heck put a like on a weird and unrelated comment.
-
I realize that this is entirely subjective, and therefore stupid question... But how/why???
-
We need music appreciation thread also. I get heebie-jeebies whenever I enter Mun's SOI from that eerie, calm, desert style tone. Then you get close and drums start banging... Same for Minmus, and the sheer epic-ness of Duna tune.
-
I expect I'll be doing interplanetary stuff only after 3rd one... There are many things to iron out...
-
@Periple Start a topic in bug report section? I don't think I saw that one.

Paste this, out of context, somewhere on the web, and try to convince people that it came from a game forum
