@FlazeTheDragon true, but manually setting everything bores me greatly. Maybe they could add that in global difficulty settings.
-
Cockpits also have OP reaction wheels. Hope they get nerfed too.
-
Oddly enough, no one tried something like this. I had to use Lazy Orbits of course, just wanted to see how orbital colonies might look like. It barely remained together, even with cheats... Space outpost KER-b0a232
-
Or maybe not... These things have to be considered carefully by game designers. What I've said above, about stage and symmetry grouping, doesn't make sense when you have a space station with N number of vessels docked to it
-
@Picard2 That's actually a good idea. Same set of icons as VAB's parts list. Then you can select engines or whatever, and you get everything grouped by stage then by symmetry.
-
From what I can gather, this will mostly be performance improvement, making game accessible to more players. I'll hold my breath for two more patches probably. I wish I'm utterly wrong here... Hype!!!
-
I'm not thinking about jets. One time, I was returning from Eeloo, and when capsule reached thicker atmosphere, it blew up due to overstress (it had heat shields). Although, in this scenario, Kerbals are doomed anyway, there is probably a middle ground where capsule can survive, but it is fatal for Kerbals. Though, it would be a rare occurrence.

I get that... and here's another probably unpopular opinion... hiding away implemented features can be complicated. Finance department got their early access release. I'd be more than happy to live in the dark for the next few months, then to know a certain part of the dev team has been reallocated to keep us happy by addressing bugs that probably shouldn't exist in the first place due to rushed EA build. But now I'm entering the dangerous zone of "I'm the all knowing game production and selling expert".... so take what I've said with a mountain of salt.

I was hoping for something like raw spaghetti as the bare acceptable minimum, but we're stuck with al-dente for now.

Rover wheels need more torque
cocoscacao replied to a topic in KSP2 Suggestions and Development Discussion
Actually, I didn't figure they we're that bad. I was mostly going around the runway, and some short drives on Minmus. But I had an ion engine, since light rovers in low G don't make much sense. -
@regex No. But 20+ parts craft in the VAB is causing about 100 millisecond hiccup for me (Ryzen 9 5900X / RX 6700), so I can feel your pain. We really need some perf-nerfs.
-
That load time is kinda suspicious... I'm thinking it has more to do with UI rendering optimisations than loading data. A json of 1000 objects is negligible even for a potato PC.
-
Your Play button on steam should turn to Update (which you can also skip, but... duh ). It downloads updates automagically, and you simply continue playing. Edit: You're directly on epic store. My bad. Irrelevant comment

Well I guess we have a new challenge. Reach the top of the parking garage using a rover -

Honestly, I'm guilty for that as well -

@RocketRockington And your thoughts on this PQS -> CBT transitions at this stage are? If you already wrote something about it, just point me to that post. -
Bought the game - Instant Regret - i hope this is a joke
cocoscacao replied to Moons's topic in KSP2 Discussion
Well, if a game studio can't promise anything, player base can only hope the game will be finished. In other words, we're betting on the positive outcome. Unless (I'll quote again for easier reading) I need a clarification on who is doing the refund here. Steam or game studio? Do they have some refund contract in between them? If a studio gives up, and has to refund the money, then it isn't a bet. If Steam refunds the money, it's not a bet for player, but I doubt Steam would take such risks. Any source of info on this? -

@Moons I think You and I have very different perspectives on the term playable here. My definition of playable is... I can fire up the game, and mess around with it until it crashes to desktop. I'll need clarification on what you consider as playable. Here's my problem with their statement above: Do not make specific promises about future events combined with Do not ask your customers to bet on the future of your game It's a bloody paradox Customers should be buying your game based on its current state There was a preview with famous YouTubers playing it. It was clear that it is currently ridden with bugs. Whether you accept that or not, is your choice. I need a clarification on who is doing the refund here. Steam or game studio? -

@Moons I believe (correct me if I'm wrong) that Loot Boxes were invented by Valve . PS I'm still working on reply, we can get to ethical stuff later -

Can you clarify please? (I'll post the rest after I read what you quoted) -

@Moons Finally a proper answer. Alright, let's ditch wiki out of the picture. Here's the link to Steam rules page. I've read through them now. Which of those 7 points are violated from your perspective? -

I cannot answer you fully, because my post will be deleted. I'm curious why do you think it is a dumpster fire? I'm not gonna lie, there are things that aren't fully clear to me either. -

It would be interesting (and maybe they plan something similar) to release a video once a month on what their vague plan for the future is. Dev diaries give us what they're working on currently, a video per month gives us some bigger picture. Dunno. -

Alright, I'll bite the apple again. @Moons You have description on wikipedia what EA is. What is written there, matches with the current state of KSP. If you have a different source on what EA should represent, please share it.
