Huh... Though this really isn't a bug and more of a minor mistake... I never noticed that before. But another point... How did you even GET TO 168 mega meters per second? I mean, an interplanetary mission to, say, Moho, only puts you to about 8000-9000 m/s on a really bad day.

Flight Craft Wobbles and then Shakes Itself Apart After Loading a Save File

Ooh... I remember this happening in KSP1 as well... It was so annoying... -
Weekly Challenge #35: Land on Laythe
NexusHelium replied to Nerdy_Mike's topic in Challenges & Mission Ideas
Ha ha! Jokes on you... I've already DONE THIS! Unfortunately... It fell through the ground into the endless abyss before this was posted here... I'm a sad Kerbal now -
This may be true but the real problem is how MUCH some people experience it. I myself have built many large craft and still find it extremely difficult to get to space even WITH struts. Fairings in particular seem to effect me (Like with a Saturn V replica I made)
-
I... cannot say the same... ...You don't want to see some of my Jool V rockets.

Oh no, not at all. Call me crazy but I actually enjoy the anticipations of the new parts. I remember KSP 1 in early access and it had a very similar start (If not a worse one) and that game DID get A LOT better. Also no. I am not a new player. I've been playing for 7 years (Along with the fact that I played the early access once or twice.)
-
Now, I'm not one who openly criticizes this game. I personally really enjoy playing it but... I REALLY hope that this dev chat talks about fixing wobbliness. That has been essentially the ONLY thing keeping me away from the game.

I have not yet tried the new campaign but the shaking of the clouds does remind me of the one bug where tidally locked moons show the planets shaking violently (Especially in timewarp.) so maybe it has something to do with that? Just some guesses. There's no real evidence that these two are related it just reminded me of that bug. EDIT: I just saw that the bug I mentioned does not affect just tidally locked moons. It appears to affect atmospheres and clouds as well.

Yeah, this bug also appears to affect the trajectory lines of the celestial bodies too. I had to eyeball several of my interplanetary missions. I first encountered this bug during my Starfield mission (The weekly challenge)... I guess the horrifying abomination I made was just too much for the game.

Trajectory is missing + wrong navball reading on a fresh save
NexusHelium replied to Tazmaniak's topic in v0.1.4
I have encountered this bug as well but it wasn't limited to the craft itself. Quite literally everything (From crafts to the celestial bodies themselves) had a designated trajectory and apoapsis and periapsis but the visible trajectory lines were missing. I had to eyeball several missions. Reloading the game seemed to fix it. (This bug was encountered during my Starfield mission)- 4 replies

Reported Version: v0.1.4 (latest) | Mods: none | Can replicate without mods? Yes OS: Windows 11 | CPU: Intel i7 | GPU: Geforce 1080 | RAM: 12 GB Severity: Low (It's just a bit annoying.) Frequency: High (No matter what) I'm not sure if this is a bug or an unfinished asset but the clouds on... everywhere as far as I know do not have a stable and smooth animation. They just kind of skip from one spot to another no matter where you are (With the notable exception of on the map and in orbit). The clouds also appear to kind of haze on the screen whenever you move the camera around, resulting in a really fuzzy and perspective breaking scene. Again, if this is a unfinished asset and something they're working on feel free to move this to archived. This has just... bugged (he he) me for a little while now.

I took Jeb to the helicopter pad on the VAB and just stared at the clouds. Where I noticed either a bug or an unfinished asset. The clouds appear to not have a smooth animation. They kind of just skip from one place to the other. Odd.

Environmental & Terrain Planets collide after switching vessels
NexusHelium replied to Dukerex12's question in Environmental & Terrain
I sort of found a solution. If you click "Control" again then the planet disappears and you end up on the designated planet. The graphics and terrain may be a bit wonky though. -
Environmental & Terrain Planets collide after switching vessels

Reported Version: v0.1.4 (latest) | Mods: none | Can replicate without mods? Yes OS: Windows 11 | CPU: Intel i7 | GPU: Geforce 1080 GTX | RAM: 12 GB Severity: Hard to say Frequency: Haven't tried to replicate it. I have encountered yet another bug. Remember that bug where the KSC would spawn in orbit? Well that happened but with Laythe. I was on Vall with a lander and decided to check my Laythe lander so I went into the map and clicked "Control". Then... the surface (No oceans or atmosphere) spawned right next to me on Vall. The title says it all. Here's a picture of the bug in action. Included Attachments: -

Weekly Challenge #29 Traversing a Starfield
NexusHelium replied to Nerdy_Mike's topic in Challenges & Mission Ideas
Yeah. My ship for the first... 20 tries had what I like to call "Rapid dissasemblyitis," or, "The Angry Kraken disease" The hardest part for me was probably getting the center of mass perfectly aligned for the vertical engines. It kept going to one side or the others and I could barely use the horizontal thrusters because of how I placed them. I eventually figured it out though, -
Weekly Challenge #29 Traversing a Starfield
NexusHelium replied to Nerdy_Mike's topic in Challenges & Mission Ideas
Anddddd... last one... landed... "That's three seconds of boredom followed by seven seconds of sheer terror." - Jim Lovell (Or Tom Hanks) Landed Oh and here's the cargo. It's a simple Munar Probe that was shot out of the cargo bay you can see in the landed picture. The reason it has antennas for legs is because the normal landing legs would keep saying "Blocked" whenever I would try to extend them even though they weren't so I just opted out to this design. Cargo Speaking honestly... This was a nightmare. -

And now to see if this unholy (Though rather nice looking, I might add,) contraption can make it to the Mun (I'm pretty sure that link works) Picture
