Performance in itself is not scheduled as an aspect of the next update, but the move to a newer version of Unity may help somewhat. Anyway, the game is continually being tweaked and improved, though I also would like to see optimization made an emphasis. Welcome to the forum.

I build my wings from one root part, and only the root part actually connects to the fuselage. This can be weak and call for strut bolstering, but the nice thing is, I can move the whole assembly as one unit while adjusting COL.

Your question is about modding the game, and so the thread has been moved to the modding section, where people do that sort of thing.

As this seems to be about a bug, the thread has been moved to modded support.

That thread includes a download link for the craft itself. (Where it says "craft file" in red.) Copy that into your ksp folder/saves/whatever your save is called/VAB and fly your own copy of the ship.

That is the cutest way to travel just under 2 kilometers I have yet seen.
