totm march 2020 So what song is stuck in your head today?
razark replied to SmileyTRex's topic in The Lounge
I've never really been a fan of The uploader has not made this video available in your country by Video unavailable. It's a little bland. -
totm aug 2023 What funny/interesting thing happened in your life today?
razark replied to Ultimate Steve's topic in The Lounge
Not today, but this last weekend. I saw a roadrunner. Which is also what it was doing. (There was a disappointing lack of coyotes and ACME boxes in the area, however.) -

Very carefully, and only when needed. Also, a well built and protected reactor is going to be different from a barrel full of radioactive waste. "Launching like crazy" is very different from "reliable enough to be confident in not causing a major diplomatic crisis by dropping the largest dirty bomb ever devised on <insert random country/countries>". -
If we're basing guesses off of Apollo anniversaries, December is the 50th anniversary of Apollo 17.

Because launch failures are way too common. -
I'll admit, I missed it. What's with the pitch drop reference?

FY2023 means that it might land in 2022, while: means that it will release in CY2022. And has not been refuted. The FY2023 part limits the portion of CY2022 that the release could occur in. It does not mean that the 2022 date is invalid. Do you? Anyway, have fun with this. I'm done.

And yet, you are claiming it does. Nothing yet has contradicted the CY2022 release date projection. First statement: New Year's Eve is in December. Second statement: New Year's Eve is in winter. Based on this, you're saying that you would believe New Year's Eve could have been on December 3rd, but once the second statement is made, January 24th is now a perfectly valid date for New Year's Eve.. Now do you understand?

Sorry, I missed the statement that 2022 is no longer a valid date. Can you please post that link?

Very good. You've got that part down. Except we've been told it WILL release in 2022. That's the second sentence of the first post of this thread. Therefore, again, you need to look where FY2023 and CY2022 overlap. It's really not that complicated.

Yes, it does. Look at where FY2023 and Calendar Year 2022 overlap. It's somewhere in that area. FY2023: 1 Apr 2022 - 31 Mar 2023 Calendar Year 2022: 1 Jan 2022 - 31 Dec 2022 So, since we know it somewhere in both of those date ranges, we can conclude that it is somewhere within 1 Apr 2022 - 31 Dec 2022.

Space travel? Why? I'm thinking the ultimate fridge! I put my cold ice cream and hot coffee in the box, and come back a week later, and the ice cream is still cold, the coffe is still hot, and they're both fresh, because they've only been in the box a few seconds.

It's more likely to raise a bunch of "Why would they say that? What are they covering up?" questions.

For Questions That Don't Merit Their Own Thread

Hrm. I had thought the concept was later than the NTBT of 1963. That doesn't explain the current line of thinking on ground launches, though. -

When I first heard of the concept years ago, I always assumed it was clearly to be built in orbit. It wasn't until I read stuff on this forum that I ever even considered ground launch for Orion. And I can't wrap my head around why anyone would ever do such a thing. I would have sworn we learned enough to not do something so damned stupid after years of above-ground nuclear tests. -
In KSP1, of course.
-
Exactly.

Ok, and? The worst-case scenario here is that "video game that doesn't exist continues to not exist." Hardly a catastrophe, unless you've already preordered and paid money for it.

I used to own a truck. I sold it to someone else. That person doesn't have to inform me about anything to do with the truck or ask my permission, because it belongs to them now, and not me. Right now, I don't have KSP2. A year from now, I might have KSP2, or I might not. Being told any details at all will not make KSP2 arrive a moment sooner. The two options are life continues as it is and, or I get to play KSP2. Not having KSP2 does not make my life any worse than it already is.

I wasn't that great at high school Latin, but something seems a bit off there.

What Country are you from without saying the name of said country?
razark replied to TheLoneOne's topic in Forum Games!
Vatican City? -
KSP2 has obviously been canceled. It was a pipe dream to begin with. Even if it had been released, it would have been absolute trash. It's time to move on, go play other games, take a hike in the woods, talk to family and friends, and give up all hope that KSP2 will ever be more than a bitter memory of light in the midst of the void that is your life. Just keep that in mind, stop worrying about it, and carry on with your dull existence. Now that your expectations have been so thoroughly lowered, when KSP2 does release, it will be much better than you thought.

Well, the only example we have lasted three days. Aside from lasting a very long time, it also seems to be a much more limited exchange than I would expect.

Today seems to have been meatloaf day. Add another one to the list.
