  1. OKAY! So here's something I've came up with recently (and yes, it's already in a completely different thread) about the Admin Building. Program mixing: I guess it could be thought of in a similar way the potions in Minecraft work, except without any side effects. You mix the two, you get something else. Don't mind me. Just adding here whatever I consider good enough for the career improvement.
  2. Well, except they aren't even called missions, which makes no sense to me. In my perfect world the Admin Building is the place where you pick programs you want to get involved in (Space Station Research, The Mun Landing Program, Duna Rover Exploration Program +a lot more things like that). Once you picked one or two, or more you go to the Mission Control and pick the missions, which are influenced by the programs you chose. So if you picked the 'Space Station Research' and 'Duna Exploration' programs you suddenly find a bunch of missions which will prepare you to the ultimate goal of said program, which is the Duna Space Station (you mix them and get different things to do based on what you've picked). You first get to do small things like probing Duna and building a small research station in Kerbin's orbit, then it moves onto the harder ones and once the system decides that you are ready it gives you a mission to build the Duna Space Station! BAM! A sense of progression!
  3. I agree with everything apart from the docks for ships. I mean, do we really need it? I guess the game gives enough freedom to build whatever you want, even the ships. But are they any significant for the career mode? This game should be more space exploration-focused IMO. If there would be ships then only as launch platforms spread across the oceans of Kerbin. And we already have a planetarium, which is the tracking station, though I agree about some sort of discovery mechanic in the stock game. Maybe not the planets we have now should be discovered, but more distant ones (still in the Kerbol system though). Also while we're at it: observation of extrasolar objects (exoplanets, nebulae, pulsars, black holes galaxies, quasars, etc.) Also the island base should be available as a plane-only launching point with a ramp by the end. And as always in these topics: #bringbac9back
  4. That's a wow and a like from me. Waiting for a fully functional aircraft utilisin this thing.
  5. IMO it should be just shorter or not as wide as it is.
  6. I agree. I actually try to avoid using the reaction wheels when docking. Just for fun. And I don't think they need a rebalance, or whatever. You can always switch the torque off if you don't want to use it, which is something I usually do. Especially on planes in the atmosphere. The lack of torque on planes influences the way I design my planes in a major way.
  7. I want that. Are there specified system requirements anywhere, or is it still too early?
  8. I love the moments when it spins.
  9. More like #bringbac9back. He knew what he was doing.
  10. I know about it and bought it for my Android device a few months ago. It's pretty fun, but you're limited to a few locations and it doesn't have multiplayer.
  11. I'd definitely like a sequel to this game, but not a space focused one. Instead we could have Kerbal Aircraft Program (originally suggested by @Alshain?). Earth sized Kerbin, the same vessel editor (+pWings), no rocket engines and a lot of jet and piston engines instead, realistic atmosphere and combat missions of different historical eras + multiplayer, of course. Make this happen @SQUAD, and you'll have another $15 in early alpha from me.
  12. I don't think the star has aliens building a dyson sphere, but if it does I hope the whole world unites and does the cool space stuff to reach the higher levels of civilization faster. Just in case.
  13. That was a quality battle, @Noir! Thanks @DoctorDavinci for hosting the whole tier 2 branch! That plane of mine sure dutch rolls like hell! I already have something else in mind for the next tournament. It's going to be a single engine monoplane, but a rather unusual one. In fact it's so unusual I have stumbled upon a picture of it in Google graphics only once by pure luck and there's no info about it on Wikipedia. That's such a cool and chubby little plane! I love it!
  14. Wish it was included i to the KSPedia.
  15. I often struggle to come up wiith names for things I build. If lacking an idea for a name I could just click it a few times and get some inspirations from what I saw. I support this.
  16. A SPORE-like craft browser would be cool to have. Additional in-game payment for craft files? Not so much.
  17. How many times a Merlin engine can be reused, or rather for how many hours can it run until the nozzle is full of holes? Their nozzles are ablative so I would imagine they don't have the same life time as, for example, the Space Shuttle engines (which are not ablative and fuel-cooled instead afaik).
  18. You can make those yourself with the parts we have in the game.
  19. It is fairly easy to make one yourself. I'm still not sure why was it added to the game. I don't recall myself using it at all tbh.
  20. Don't know about the jovian moons, but the last time is saw the ISS I could swear I saw more than one source of light by it. Thought that it might've been the Dragon capsule on it's approach, but then went back home and learnt that the launch was scrubbed. Was probably the solar arrays on the both sides of the station that gave the impression of two dots flying in a formation.
  21. Yeah, that's pretty much what I've said in my thread. Except maybe less chaotic and easier to understand. Nevertheless I agree with this. Science points and the tree itself is what keeps me away from completing my career save. Heck, I didn't even start a new one in 1.1!
