  1. You have double underscores between "Tex" and "Positive" / "Negative".
  2. A new, darker skybox would go a very long way.
  3. The round illuminates have always been overpowered. Try the rectangle ones.
  4. Struggling to keep up here! The releases are updated before I get a chance to write up a report. Test 7 was a little painful to run, but the Test 8 sub-versions are running much smoother. I am, however, noticing some lag when switching between map and planetary view. Don't know if anyone else is experiencing this? That lag is most apparent when in low orbit/atmosphere around Eve. Switching from map view tends to take a good four seconds or so, as it loads in layers. Also, I find that frame rates drop when moving the camera in planetary view. This has also coincided with a memory allocation crash. Have the output log if needed. The weird flickering at the edges of Eve present in Test 8-1 has been resolved in Test 8-2. Looks really good.
  5. Seriously, some of the comments in this thread are bordering on weird. You'd be forgiven for thinking that some people had never made a single error, misjudgement or act of tardiness in their entire lives. Walking a tightrope of perfection must be hard.
  6. I'd love to see the flame pits being utilised on launch, too.
  7. Having similar problems. Basically brought my system to a halt when I looked at a planet with clouds and also froze when switching to map view. See video for example of probe around Duna. FPS top-right corner. Output log: http://www./view/yyadccbrcgd4t9c/output_log_volumetrictest6.txt
  8. You switch control of nearby vessels by using the "[" and "]" keys. They have to be within range though. Not sure if it's physics range (about 2.5km) or some other arbitrary limit. Alternatively, if there are no nearby vessels, you need to switch to them using the map view - accessed with the "M" key. Click on the vessel icon you want to control, then select the appropriate option form the context menu.
  9. Hi there, Just started KSP following a system reboot and I've had another failure to initialise on Test 5. Same as last time. No layers or volumetric and menu is empty, Output Log: http://www./view/37g29m2so1srwy1/output_log_(cloud_failure_29-03-14).txt Specs below in sig line. EDIT: City lights still appear, however.
  10. Hmmmm... just re-downloaded and reinstalled and it's working fine??? Weird. Folders were all intact. Will grab the log file if I manage to bungle it again.
  11. ^ Something not right in there. No clouds of any variety. ALT-N produces no menu.
  12. I learnt that a fuel tank can be placed on top of an in-line docking port in the VAB, yet can be miraculously 'undocked' while in flight. I had always assumed that if you wanted to do that, you needed to have a stack separator between them. This. changes. everything.
  13. My guess? Career will be expanded in .24 and along with the introduction of the LES, it suggests that astronaut stats will be tracked and it may be advantageous to protect the lives of specific kerbals. But that could be complete rubbish.
  14. lol... these appeared on launchpad unpack, blew off into the distance and were replaced with white versions. I'm legitimately calling it a raincloud feature and not a bug. Haha!
  15. We'll soon be able to set our own glow with tweakable lights.
  16. The hexes aren't spawning at really high altitudes any more (or not that I could see) and the shaders for night time are fitting. God knows how you'll get the fade/transition to work, but it's looking really positive. Night launch (now with appropriately moody shading on the volumetrics): Daytime re-entry:
  17. They just seemed surprised and interested to me.
  18. Ah, man... totally understandable. Thanks so much for your efforts on this over the last 6 months. I'm not sure I can imagine playing KSP without it. Best wishes with your babysitting duties.
  19. Just wanted to stop by and say 'thanks' for creating this mod. Been using it for about a month and really appreciate the sanity it brings to strut placement. Glad to see some of its principles being integrated into stock. The delay on exiting warp is a minor distraction but a perfectly acceptable compromise for we behemoth builders.
  20. I'm afraid my talent only extends to crashing in cloud cover.
