  1. Your experience just mirrored my own. I used KAS back in the day (bungee jumping from balloons on Jool), but it's really grown since then. Solar panel rescue mission complete...
  2. I think I've used the ARM pieces twice. They're just too damn big for the bulk of my operations and I'm perfectly happy with my mainsail-led designs. I think it's a misdirection to assume that people are one-dimensional enough to only play in a particular way and, honestly, I'm amazed this is still being argued over. They'll get nerfed soon enough.
  3. Landing gear is massless in-flight, and only affects flight dynamics in the SPH/VAB. One of the many peculiarities of KSP. Sounds good. Will download and install. Thanks for confirming.
  4. The node sizes on the 2.5m SAS are tiny compared to other 2.5m parts - always have been. It looks like it uses the 1.25m node. I was under the impression that node size was relevant for joint connections. Or that's what I was led to believe by the discussion that preceded ferram's comment. Can module manager correct this?
  5. The obligatory (all stock) KSS, shown with SQUIRT 5 spaceplane docking procedure (probably only the second spaceplane design I've been happy with after years of playing). The ARM update's joint reinforcement really helped with stable spacestation designs.
  6. Another module manager user here. Not a fan of parts for pure 'functionality' mods - they always seem superfluous. I'd prefer to have KER enabled as standard.
  7. On that note, does this MM file adjust the 2.5m SAS units joints as well? Historically, they've always been really poor and prone to failure. I can see the ARM update improved the strength of them, but they still seem prone to excessive movement to me.
  8. Figured it was out of your hands. Thanks for replying. File edited successfully.
  9. Hi there, I've just read the FAQ in the OP to determine how to delete a folder. It says to right-click on the folder button and select the appropriate option on the context menu. Although this works in flight and in the tracking station, whenever I right-click on the toolbar in the Space Centre scene, my mouse (instantly) moves to the centre of the screen and no menu is offered. This right-click aversion has always been the case with previous versions of the toolbar. I had thought about reporting it as a bug in it's own right, but given it was (at worst) a mild behavioural inconsistency, I figured I wouldn't mention it on the assumption it was some quirk of how the game handled right clicks. Alas, I'm now stuck with an empty folder that I can't get rid of. Any ideas?
  10. Roses are red, kerbals are green. You should never have stepped into that deathtrap machine.
  11. Clipping is necessary for beautiful designs. I don't want a load of crap adorned all over the sides of my craft.
  12. ^ Yeah, on top of that, the mouse scroll is also really unpredictable in the increments it adds to the node, so it's really not a fantastic feature. **Hugs PreciseNode**
  13. Go into the options, select the appropriate tick box, you should see additional orbital options. One of them is +orb -orb.
  14. lol... nice of the devs to mention it! This is basically what we've been asking for since like, 0.18...
  15. Conics in tracking station are often drawn as a closed loop - even if they aren't.
  16. Has anybody written any guidance for this mod (other than the wiki which, unfortunately, isn't very helpful)? Like, something simple that says "start here by doing this..." which teaches you the basics. Second time I've tried this.
  17. Nah, never got into remotetech. No biggie. Only happened once. Just thought I should log it.
  18. I've been wondering about that, too. If only to prevent occlusion occurring when you mouse over the stock panel accidentally. I figured that if it hadn't already happened, it was because it was too awkward to fiddly to achieve.
