Kerbin Real-Estate - Procedural Cities
Moon Goddess replied to rbray89's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
I would suggest that while the cities themselves, the buildings, roads and farms be procedurally generated, but the actual positioning on the world of the cities should not be. You could probably just take a map of Kerbin and "paint" on where cities are allowed to generate. This way you can place cities near water and rivers like reality should be. Alternatively you could weight the city generation by biome. Grassland should have more cities than desert. None in Mountains etc. If you rank "city types" you could even weight them by biome. No TALL city type near KSP, or mountains, etc. fewer farms in desert. -
(Not sure exactly what you know and don't, so summing up all) Installing Hullcam VDS without RPM adds a series of part 'cameras', each of these 'cameras' offer a right click menu option for "Activate Camera" when you do this the camera takes over full screen same as any other game camera (auto, chase, iva, etc.) One of these 'cameras' is a booster cam, it offers 2 camera views both 'up' and 'down'. So after adding RPM, all of these 'camera' parts are added the right click options to change their id. for use in RPM. Which is great. However, the option for "Activate Camera" no longer shows on the right click menu, and the booster cam only offers 1 id so only the 'up' view is usable.

Yeah, I'm sorry if I came across rude there. I guess I have like different goals from the mods. RPM is great for when I'm wanting to experience the I'm right there in the pod feeling. Hullcam, gives me great angles for screenshots and movie-like angles. But yeah you offered a great alternative, and I've downloaded it gonna try it out, I should have been more polite.

Does this have an incompatibility with Hullcam VDS? After installing RasterProp the cameras from Hullcam VDS now work as IVA cameras which is great but lose their original function. So now, there is no way to use the camera on a probe or any craft without an IVA, and there is no way to use both camera's of the booster camera. It would be really great to have both functions.

Should a Kerbal which is really only about half the size of a human use human values for supplies? -
[Plugin][WIP][0.23.5] Custom Asteroids 0.2.1
Moon Goddess replied to Starstrider42's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
That looks closer to flying thru a planetary ring... and even then everything is way too close together. -
Yeah but once the stock game finally has reentry damage you won't be able to survive orbital reentry anyways.

[1.3.1] Ferram Aerospace Research: v0.15.9.1 "Liepmann" 4/2/18
Moon Goddess replied to ferram4's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Yeah....looks like my issues are a combination of Too much TWR, mimicking the gravity turn I learned from MechJeb (keep spinning out there) and I discovered, wobbling parts inside my procedural fairings. Learning to fix all these things.- 14,073 replies

You know, I LOVE the idea of FAR, I so so want to use it, but I can't get anything more than the absolute simplest thing into orbit when I'm using FAR. I know I'm not a good pilot but wow.- 14,073 replies

There's all sorts of stories just waiting to be told in this map... The border between Abkovichatkaderivochistan and Nusad doesn't follow the river... but close, that's very odd.... somewhere in history Nusad must of taken the land west of the river. Was there a war? How long ago? Are there kerbal that live there that feel like they are still Abkovichatkaderivochs? Revolution? Likewise, Loneankopa has a nice little bit of land that might have been Ryemnarg at some time, or even back and forth throught history, since it touches the bay it looks like a great place to hold for economic and military reasons. Speaking of economic, Allied Provinces of Cerima have no real problem with access to the ocean, however is a large large country, bringing trucks and trains all the way to the cost must be expensive, if ships could deport from that inland sea that borders with Adnacania.... Is there a good relationship there? All sorts of fun things.

It runs in Java, so it's platform independent. -

Can I make a request.... I'd love it if you made a science part, containing thermometor, pressure, gravity and acceleration. -

I'm gonna wait a bit before I start over so I can confirm that, a few mods are all working. -

I thought that was the secret to flying. "There is an art to flying, or rather a knack. Its knack lies in learning to throw yourself at the ground and miss. ... Clearly, it is this second part, the missing, that presents the difficulties."
