Its more a new job and a project ive been procrastinating on since last year. Once Flite Fest East is done mid-july i may make more regular appearances. Im confident thay while some may object, the thread will be in more capable hands and continue on with Herobrian's original vision in my absence.

I'm officially handing over control of this competition to @Box of Stardust. I unfortunately have found myself with new responsibilities, and if the last month has not clearly demonstrated, i most likely will not have time to participate here as i have.

And at the moment, i'm not invalidating your results. You may not be aware of my current opinions on people testing their own aircraft officially, i find it something like handing out blank checks. I'll be reviewing footage later tonight before i do anything, including updating leaderboards, but i have no reason to think any abuse has taken place, and do appreciate that you are carrying things on.

So lets start off. @Box of Stardust has two aircraft on the roster at the moment. He's running tests with his own leaderboard. Until i update my results to reflect his, they are not official. Perhaps i should quote the Dark Souls mod team here:
You're more than capable of creating an aircraft capable of beating out his. If you take issue with the fact that he has more than two aircraft on the board (my counting skills aren't the greatest, i only dropped out of Embry Riddle Aeronautical University because calculus kicks my butt, but i count two of his craft on the board) then do something about it. Develop your own aircraft. Test. Revise. Succeed.

Yeah good luck. Brian and I have both asked for people to participate, the fact that people are now starting to submit dogfights on their own is a god-given miracle. I'll probably be submitting more monday once i catch up on the thread

Quick exemple :
small craft ( Drone ) < 8 Tons = 9 Hardpoints
Jetfighter ( Manned ) 8 tons to 18 tons = 12 Hardpoints
Heavy craft > 18 Tons = 15 Hardpoints
We can Brainstorm for the among of Hardpoints who can be used , Ofc . The more important is that everyone have fun in a fair challenge .

While i appreciate the concern, i would think this is a rule that doesn't have a place here. At this point in the game, most of the people here that make the board have maybe a couple of missiles? Spam hasn't really been a concern since we started using the "under the radar" version of BDAC.

If the aircraft is capable of taking off when placed in pilot mode by bdac then yes.

TFDs, Squirrels, PEGASi- it beats all of them.
All it took me was half an hour of building (well, and hours of previously done testing for my other fighters). Someone send a fighter to prove me wrong, because I really, really hate this thing. You can all thank the Du-3 (and to an extent, the yet-to-be-officially-tested X-15 [words]) for this abomination.
Probably the only thing that'll beat this thing is the Cookie. I haven't tested for it, but it's the only battle where the math is much more in favor for the Cookie.

Also @exbyde is the Jernas missile turret ok for Super fighters?
So, go to notepad++, go to the SPH folder in your save, and open each craft. There's a version line, will probably say 1.4. change it to 1.3.1.

When i run DCK on mine, i notice a lot more frame drops than usual. Its not unplayable, but it devolves things back to the quality of some of the more intense dogfights before my current rig. I'm also not exactly thrilled with the additions of shields and armor for DCK. I know how the armor for BDAc works (see tombstone), but not the armor for DCK

I tested it against a barely tuned lightweight compact drone of my own (inspired by the Micro Fighter when it was first submitted). Unfortunately for the MF, it seems like I made my 5 ton drone still too vicious for it... and my crudely-tuned Basilisks lol.
@goduranus KSC 8km starts allow the fighters to get to their set default altitude. Not sure how big of a difference that makes, but Viper never had a definitive superiority over the RS either. I usually do a 10km - 14km start if from KSC just for a bit more of fairness, since a lot of Sidewinders are set to be selected from 8km. Not sure how big of a difference that makes either.

Alright, next up we have @Joseph Kerman's F-1 taking on our #4 roster aircraft, @dundun92's DU-3
Features like Chaff and Radar jammers are a LOT of the reason why you do not see many planes with an AIM-120, despite their total lack of friendly fire incidents.
Alright, final battle for tonight, @Box of Stardust is taking on @Joseph Kerman's F-1 for the #5 spot. How one sided could this be?
Really, really one-sided. 6-0, PEGAsys takes the #5.
