  1. Alright I have added more struts... FLY! The fact that it got off the ground at all baffles me. Though the roof is kinda of breaking (needs more struts). Woa there! Ok lets land... Easy... NO The IVA is nice though.
  2. Part 5 of my run is up! http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/121720-Circumnavigation-of-the-Mun?p=1970640#post1970640
  3. Part 5 (I put the chapters in spoilers to clean up the thread) [spoiler=] In part 5, Bill continues his road trip 'round the Mun! I finally bothered to name the rover... "Scorpion." This is a pretty long stretch of the trip, getting dark again. Whoops! Must always pay attention when driving on the Mun. Ah yes, the... International dateline is it called? Skipping to the other side of the map. Urgent request from KSC! We need you to... Send us a report from the Mun's surface. Gonna have to stop for the night. On to the next day! That's quite the canyon! Using the Ions to power out of the ditch. Minor issues with the wheel. The rover is heading into a very dangerous looking highlands area. Hey! A little star thing on the horizon! Oh, it's Minmus. What's this? Could it be? Another arch! Jumping through the gate! If only Jeb where here to see... Planting a flag on the 180 meter high rock formation. Progress! The end is nigh. -Meanwhile in Kerbin Orbit-
  4. BTW, that traction glitch only occurs with the "ruggedized" wheels. The orange wheels are far safer.
  5. I'm designing a new SSTO.. It has minor issues. But high maneuverability! Too high... VTOL function is very good. To space! Minor issues again. Needs moar boosters.
  6. Last I checked Unity 5 PhysX IS multithreaded (the version KSP currently uses DOES use all cores, but is only one threaded). I am hoping that Squad will add an option to run PhysX on Nvidia GPUs for those that have them (the fact that it's multithreaded should still boost performance for non Nvidia Users).
  7. Hmm, has anyone tested if SSDs now make a difference? Just wondering.
  8. Boeing 727 I'm working on.. Ignore that Cubic octagonal strut on the turbine, I forgot to remove it.
  9. Part 4 [spoiler=] After a long night Bill is now properly rested, lets continue the road trip! The really dangerous craterâ„¢ is now visible do to the sun being in the sky. Maximum power! Leaping out of the crater. The terrain up ahead is a little dull... Finally a break from having to path around cliffs! Highland Craters... I thought this was a flat area. Interesting Valley. This giant hole in the ground is in my way... Go around it? I ain't got no time for dat! Climbing the wall on the opposite side... Notice the navball (Note for those designing their own rovers: this climb is outright not possible without Ion engines, they really do help on low gravity bodies). Backflip! Progress Report! The rover is very nearly halfway around the Mun. In other news, the LF+O Fuel levels are sitting around 40%, the xenon fuel is at 65%. Due to the lack of solar backup there will be a refueling mission in the future. The main issue is oxidizer... That lander I used to pick up Bill from Minmus used up all the extra oxidizer I brought for this mission, there is no more in Mun orbit. I could get more oxidizer from the Minmus base, but that Tanker is also out of it (it needs BOTH LF+O for the Vernors, which is needed to dock to the base). I think there may be some sitting around in one of my space stations...
  10. O_O I have a reputation that rivals Jebediah's. I'd like to thank everything for all the internet points! Seriously, thank you, I never expected to get this much.
  11. I also figured this out the hard way, I think mine where set to like 250 meters.. Boom.
  12. Now try moving an E class... They are less dense for a reason. Though maybe A-C classes should be a little heavier...
  13. Yep, jus place flaps along the center of mass, they make taking off and landing a lot smoother (no more tailstrike on takeoff).
  14. Wait... Where did the air go?! MAYDAY! Long story short: Dual Engine failure, wings abruptly lost all lift (and drag); gravity brought it down.
  15. I've been to all those places... However I have not gotten Kerbals to Eeloo, I could, but that place is boring.
  16. The fairings are not even useful, in fact they only cause more problems, just launch whatever you want, it wont fall apart. And stop veering 45 degrees at 10 km.
  17. Part 3 of my run... http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/121720-Circumnavigation-of-the-Mun?p=1952647#post1952647
