Apparently NASA released the engineering footage after a FOI request. Apologies if this has been discussed already. Some pretty epic shots here. -
Weekly Challenge #8 - Build Starship!
Gargamel replied to Ghostii_Space's topic in Challenges & Mission Ideas
Some off topic content has been removed. -
Some off topic material has been removed. This is not a topical discussion thread. This is not “What I didn’t do in KSP2 today.” This is a thread for saying what you did do in game. Please keep your vitriol out of this thread. We have plenty of other polluted threads to spew into. Go pick one of those.

And that’s why it won’t happen in the near future. People are still buying the game and the DLC’s. As soon as they release the code or make it legal to work on, those sales drop to zero. When it costs more for them to keep selling it than they make, then maybe they would consider it. But not before. This is a billion dollar company we’re talking about, in general they have no interest in what the community wants if they can’t make money from it.

Actual quotes for substantiated arguments thread
Gargamel replied to VlonaldKerman's topic in KSP2 Discussion
This thread has been locked. It has no specific topic of discussion. We do not allow general chat threads. If you want to quote the devs on, say, colony building, feel free to do so in a thread about colony building. Likewise about any quote about a topic. If you want to build a compendium thread of dev quotes you can find, then do so. But including propaganda/spin/analysis about the quote makes it into a discussion with no topic, and those aren’t allowed. We have a whole forum full of topic specific threads where you can quote and discuss as you wish. -
For Questions That Don't Merit Their Own Thread
Gargamel replied to Skyler4856's topic in Science & Spaceflight
The number I always saw was 14, but that was a particular curated set of individuals, ~4 males ~10 Females, with specific generic markers to force diversity in later generations. The offspring mating arrangements are planned out like 30 generations before some element of choice is allowed. So, not a random sample. -
Your sacrifice to the forum gods is noted. Banned for thinking Zuul is the dog.
-
Please do not spam senseless material that has nothing to do with the game. Failure to comply will be your reason for being banned.

Should we start 'backup forums' for the worst case?
Gargamel replied to dr.phees's topic in Kerbal Network
They are assumedly laughing at the concept of TTi pulling the plug on a forum that has practically no overhead, is basically run by volunteers from the community, and is most likely hosted on a 386 stuck in a broom closet in a basement. Even if TTi is even aware of the forums existence, it would probably cost them more to shut it down than just let it run on forever. Yes, someday this forum will eventually end, but I don’t foresee it happening anytime soon. -
Our standard response to any semi legal events like this is something along the lines of as long as you learn science from it and nobody gets hurt….. I forget what the distance record is for skipping a rock, but it’s pretty far. You can build / obtain machines that will go even farther. I’m assuming the OP means skipping, as that’s what is pictured first. The flowing water might make it quite difficult though. If we are discussing launching artillery over a river at another country, no, we really don’t allow that. Find a river without any significant borders, and you didn’t learn it here….

Doyle Brunson, GodFather of Poker. https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2023/05/15/sport/doyle-brunson-godfather-of-poker-died-spt-intl/index.html An inspiration to a lot of players, he literally wrote _the_ book on poker. He continued to play at a high level until his passing. One of the pioneers and major influences that shaped the game I love. He will be missed. RIP Texas Dolly. May you ever get dealt rockets and river flushes.

Having trouble with CKAN on a macbook
Gargamel replied to whytho's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, modded installs)
And it’s been moved to KSP1 tech support instead of ksp2. You could also ask in the CKAN thread: https://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?/topic/197082-ckan-the-comprehensive-kerbal-archive-network-v1320-kepler-ksp-2-support/ -
Thread temporarily locked for review.

Moved to fan works.

As we have our new challenge thread, which can also act as our hype thread, we can close this one out. Very cool little planes

For Questions That Don't Merit Their Own Thread
Gargamel replied to Skyler4856's topic in Science & Spaceflight
Since the eye stalk can see, the cat, and therefore the radioactive decay which triggers the poison release would have been observed. The wave functions collapse, and one of the possible outcomes occurs. The cat is only alive/dead if it is not observed. -
Probably best to ask the people that post them.

I don’t know, but I too await an answer. Because on mobile I really need code blocks more than I need spoilers. :s
