Interplanetary ship lost electrical power
MartGonzo replied to HorusKol's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
I don't know if you meant me or the original poster, in my case they were the simple fixed panels. -
Interplanetary ship lost electrical power
MartGonzo replied to HorusKol's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
I've had this bug too (on 23.5), triple checked everything and there definitely should have been power flow, it had several fixed panels in direct sunlight. I don't know of a fix though, I scrapped that ship -
Mk2 cockpit is ugly
MartGonzo replied to theflclguy's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
I recommend this one instead: Spaceplane plus http://www.curse.com/ksp-mods/kerbal/220834-spaceplane-plus all the advantages of B9 with none of the drawbacks. -
waiting for sunset to launch a polar satellite I caught a nice Munar eclipse.

Of course, like I suspect many others on this forum, I was born with the space bug.

What is you favorite astronomical body in KSP?
MartGonzo replied to TannerBJ's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Definitely Eve by a large margin, it's the only body that remains 'mysterious' thick pink clouds observe a surface I have never visited. (since I installed Deadly Re-entry) -
Back when this computer was organised, yep the games were on a single partition. I have 7 partitions and unfortunately it's like the proverbial bomb went off in my file system and now there's things all over the place. I do keep C:\ clear for the OS, apart from my download folder which has grown into an unweildy beast of thousand of small files that I probably had some reason to download but can no longer remember what any of it is, I might rename that folder to "abandon hope all ye who enter here".

Aesthetics without part clipping.

I can tell you that the British medical association has quietly dropped the Hippocratic oath, it's no longer compulsory and those who do want to take an oath have had a new one written up that stresses doing as your told by those in authority. no mention of doing no harm and no mention of patient care draw your own conclusions as to why

Remove part testing contracts?
MartGonzo replied to Solusphere's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
They're my least favourite part of contracts too, but i'd vote to keep them as they are and just add more variety to the contracts, which I'm sure they will do. -
I'm sorry to hear that rasheed, I have to agree with gpisic, this is something that you and your friend need real professional help with. All I will say is that SSRI's rarely help people and often make things worse, if your friend is offered anti-depressants please look into controlling depression through diet before taking those things.

It's kind of hard to explain, use the purple handle to pull the orbit to roughly 45°, then use the yellow to pull the orbit back to a circular orbit. keep using the purple and yellow handles to turn and then pull your orbit back until it is 90° from your starting orbit. hope that helps.

I'm not sure if this is working for me, I put parachutes on my lower stage but I didn't get any messages about it being recovered or destroyed. I take it that I just extract the contents of the zip in my gamedata folder? There's no description of how to install or configure it anywhere I could see. EDIT - nevermind, it worked on my second flight

Astronomer's Visual pack V3 BETA is out and it looks great!
MartGonzo replied to Majorjim!'s topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
Thanks tygoo7, I gave it a try but I came to the realisation that the 64 bit version just doesn't like this computer, after some testing I realised that even unmodded I'm getting lots of crashes with the x64 .exe. (which is weird because the 23.5 64 bit fix worked fine ) today I'll try modding the 32 bit version and see how things go, but I'm guessing from tests and Fenrirwolf's post (thanks Fenrirwolf ) that the sharedassets file in Astronomer's pack will need an update and is not recommended at the moment. -

MartGonzo replied to Majorjim!'s topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
Does anyone know if it's safe to replace the lens flare with the one contained in this pack? it's in a shared assets file and they contain other files and have now been moved to separate 32 bit and 64 bit folders, so I'm guessing things have changed a bit. -
Will 64 bit allow for larger, higher part count ships?
MartGonzo replied to montyben101's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Thanks very much MR4Y, sounds like it might be a possibility for when KSP moves over to unity 5. That would be a great addition. I really think they need to look at the way they handle the physics, at the moment space stations and bases are really feasible for anyone who doesn't have a monster rig. -

MartGonzo replied to montyben101's topic in KSP1 Discussion
true, but I do think the game could be a lot more intelligent about how it calculates physics, there really should be some kind of part combining built in to reduce the physics calculations. It really makes no sense to calculate physics separately for ever part. Slightly off topic but I was wondering, does Unity 5 use the GPU for physics? -
Mod Testing for 64-bit KSP (UNOFFICIAL VERSION)
MartGonzo replied to mythic_fci's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
Best Not to Try These Distant Object Enhancement (Note: Requires Toolbar, so not recommended) Environmental Visual Enhancements (Note: Found to be mostly incompatible with Krags Planet Factory) FAR 0.13.3 Toolbar (Note: Incompatible with some mods, recommended not to install) Don't Try These B9 Aerospace v4 Infernal Robotics I'm running all of those mods on the x64 version with no issues at all -
Having trouble getting into orbit? You need 2 set of fuel tanks and engines, 1 vertical to get you into space and one horizontal to shoot you into orbit once you get there.

Well, I was happy to hear that we were getting a new download system, like an idiot I assumed it would be better. What we got was the aptly named "Curse" so now I miss the spaceport
