  2. I liked the look of this mod but it's gone too far, it's a FPS killer. going from 40 fps on launches to 5 fps means it's just not worth it.

  5. Yes that was my first thought too, too many disturbing associations with getting numbers tattooed on the arm. I had some done when I was a teenager, and although they are not bad looking I always keep them covered now. It's funny how attitudes to stuff like this can change over the years, better to stay away from anything permanent I'd say.
  6. It would certainly make landing easier, I use Infernal Robotics mod for this very reason they have the added advantage of being able to fold them away to fit inside fairings

  8. Really nice work, great camera shots one tiny criticism would be that it seems a little washed out, like the gamma is slightly high, otherwise it's stunning!

  11. Really? last time I checked UE3 was free and they took a percentage of any profits over a certain figure (I think it was 10K) it's a shame they only rent it out now, it will hurt the modding community.
  12. I like the idea of little critters, those strange formations on Pol look like little critter homes to me. As for the whole this should not be discussed stuff, as long as people aren't hassling Squad over stuff that they have said they don't want to do, I don't think you should be told what you can or can't discuss with other forum members.
  13. Good choices, I fell in love with the KW Rocketry parts, they are useful without being unbalanced or overpowered and Deadly Re-Entry requires the player to put more planning into the building phase and detaching your final stage in the upper atmosphere and watching it explode is great fun.
  14. I can't help with your questions but I just wanted to say those pictures are fantastic. especially the Jupiter pic funny, I would have expected Jupiter to be more red.
  15. I suppose the science is only half integrated at the moment and the final release will be more in depth, I don't see it as a major problem What I do consider to be a major issue is that the devs are so set against procedural content, meaning the game has zero replayability.

  18. Yes it definitely works with custom skyboxes, I'd highly recommend switching to texture replacer over universe replacer, tripled my framerate when I switched but you will need to rename your textures.
  19. One thing I don't get about Moho, according to the Wiki it takes about 1600 Dv to get an encounter, I've tried going to Moho a few times and never spent less that 2600 getting there, what am I doing wrong?
  20. I agree completely, I just mention it because it's the closest real world project to what the OP was asking that I know of. We have such an incomplete understanding of the brain that I suspect if artificial brains comparable to human brain power are ever created they will be of a different type of intelligence in no way similar to the human brain.
  21. There is the bluebrain project which is attempting to simulate the neural connections of a human brain inside a computer as a long term goal but I haven't looked into it recently so I'm not sure how far along they are. http://bluebrain.epfl.ch/
