Umm, where can I find the Alternate soviet green textures?? Sorry first time installing, found the configs alright, can't seem to find the textures themselves... Probably staring me in the face but I can't seem to find them.........

Sad thing is it came so close to being made for the 3DS, I Still think the only reason it was canceled(Well technically never greenlighted....) was because the guy behind megaman left capcom. I was really REALLY looking forward to it too!!! Loved Megaman Legends..... -

That's why I don't keep anything important other my windows install * non essential programs on my C: drive, It's why as I've added Hard Drives I've gotten 4 other partitions. I just don't trust anything important on a Drive I might need to wipe in case of viruses or corruption.... Glad to see your not giving up on this!!! -

I've got this grand plan to build a ship using this mod to hollow out an E-class Asteroid and using it as the primary body for the craft. All I've got to do is finish hollowing out the E-class I managed to get a Jaw on, then tow it back to kerbin. By the way, does the Jaw hollow out the asteroid on rails if I don't focus on it?? I'd like to do other things while I just let it go on doing it's job.... -

I think you need to reread the last few posts Mekan, They're asking how SlimJim89 got it to take of vertically without pitching forward, much less hover stably!!! I should know, made a pretty close replica myself using what I could glean from the pictures...... -

Any chance we'll see fuel and oxidizer options for the cargo bay and the drop bay? That would go a long way to helping with my center of mass and lift fussiness on a design I've got.... -

If FAR isn't too your taste, try NEAR instead. It's basically FAR-Lite, it has the simulation of proper Aerodynamics, but no aerodynamic breakup or all those confusing menus.... -

There's ALOT of leeway in those, so much that sometimes if they're close enough I get 2 done!! The only things that seem to really matter is getting close enough and being at the right altitude..... -

Awesome cockpit, the first one I've used in a successful plane (one that actually made it back in mostly one piece...) Any plans for an emissive for it?? -
Bill: Jeb are you sure this is even going to get off the ground?? Your X-1 never even made it out of the hanger. Jeb: Not my fault they didn't have anything to use as landing gears. Bill: The one try you got using a clamp to hold you up for launch wound up with you in the hospital for 5 days. You sure the aerodynamics even work on this X-2 of yours?? Jeb: Before I even took it to the builders to get built I took it to Tetragon and had them look it over, they'd said it's fly no problem. Bill: So what are we doing again?? Jeb: Aerial surveillance, have 2 seperate contracts out that we need to do. Bill: How far are we going. Jeb: the first is right near KSC, the second is across the ocean east of KSC. Bill: Alright let's get this over with and hope we survive it. (Goes to climb in...) Where's the ladder??? Jeb: Hmm, thought I included one. (Yells at a service tech...) You there, go get us a airstair!!! Bill: An airstair?? We only need a ladder! Jeb: I like to make an entrance!! Bill: (Facepalms helmet...) Jeb: That's the first lot done, Bill you okay?? You look a little sick.... Bill: (Retches..) After all those crazy maneuvers you pulled it'd make anyone sick!!! Why did I even come?? Jeb: You drew the lot, so suck it up!! Wonder how fast this baby can go!! Bill: (Groans...) A Short While Later: Jeb: Now we're booking!! Look at those shockwaves!! Bill: Be careful Jeb, BLAST IT!!! That's plasma you madman!! Jeb: NICE!! Bill: Nice, NICE!?!?! Did you even consider plasma when you designed this??? Jeb: Of course I did!! I designed this with spaceplane conversions down the line. Bill: Huh, that's farther than you usually think.... Jeb: What's that supposed to mean!?!? Bill: Jeb, you strapped a dozen of the big SRBs to one of those old MK1 pods and decided to launch them without Gene's permission. You're lucky your still in the program! Jeb: Oh come on, it wasn't that bad!! Bill: They had to send me up in some half-baked rescue ship on one of the old Hermes boosters!!! And we nearly crashed when the parachutes didn't deploy properly!! We're lucky they untangled themselves, as it was only our pods survived!! Jeb: Alright you win, yeesh.... On Approach to KSC Runway: Jeb: Alright, coming in to land. Bill: JEB! Deploy the airbrakes, we're too hot!! Jeb: Let's see... (Looks around the cockpit...) Huh, what's this note on the floor? Unknown: "Jeb, the delivery guys are 2 weeks behind on our orders, so we skipped the airbrakes installation on this one. Go easy on landing. Love: Maintenance" Jeb: Uhh, looks like the hanger guys didn't put them on...... Bill: WHAT?!?!?! you mean we're coming in hot with no AIRBRAKES!?!?! Jeb: Yep, now be quiet it's touchdown time. Bill: Ohh Krakens above!!! (Massive Squealing can be heard, first on pavement then on grass.) Bill: AHHHGHHHH!!! (A massive crash can be heard along with wrenching metal, and finally it stops...) Jeb: One of my better landings if I do say so myself!! Only lost one landing gear, little spit and polish by the hanger guys and it should be good to go!!! Bill: NEVER AGAIN!!! NEVER AGAIN JEB!!!! This is the last time I climb into one of your deathtraps!!! Jeb: What are you talking about?? I'm taking her back out next week! Bill: (Shatters his helmet with a facepalm.) ______________________________________________________________________ Now this is my first attempt at a mission report, after FINALLY building a plane and getting it to fly and land it mostly intact I couldn't hold it in. I'm considering maybe expanding it in the future, but that's a big if. If you liked it consider it a one-off with the chance for more, if you didn't then please tell me where you think I went wrong.......

Not been around very long have you? Firespitter is maintained quite throughly, Snjo is away atm so that's the holdup with it's update. Also firespitter has so many different useful features that are not yet part of the stock game that to toss it would require a new plugin of similar ambition and scope that currently doesn't exist.... Nothing anyone else has in development comes close to firespitters features, it's why it's been used by so many different mods for it's various modules........- 4,460 replies

IIRC The alternative they used was actually quite safe, So long as the tank was in good working order. It normally took a few days to empty, However the 65volt current fused the thermostat into it's ON position. The contents boiled of in a few hours instead of days and the extreme heat melted the insulation on the tanks wiring. When they refilled it it was a bomb waiting to go off, damaged insulation like that also destroyed TWA Flight 800.
