  1. Nope. Been waiting for 1.1 - now waiting for 1.2 because I wanted to start playing again when the new telemetry system was included.
  2. Take on Mars has a multiplayer base building part, but the development team takes its time finishing it, they have some other game going that has priority for them for business reasons it seems.
  3. I did know my great-grandmothers, but the only thing I heard, was that one of them - living in a small village - hid a French soldier, but I cannot even tell if it was the first or second world war. When I was old enough to take interest in history and what happened back then, they were already gone. My grandmother told me, that while still a baby for some reason she laughed every time her mother took her into the cellar during air raids.
  4. Once again an event for which I wished we had a second probe to watch the first one dive in! (OT: Does KSP's Jool have science in upper and lower atmosphere ... ?)
  5. Someone in this thread mentioned a 60 years long mission - decades to wait for an answer ... gave me a dystopian story idea somehow ... Hawking, cousin of Commodore Pike.
  6. Well, psychologically this is done to make it clear for the audience that the character is not just tapping his toy but actually typing something. For the same reason a CSI agent swipes a piece of evidence three times with his tool to take a sample, to make it clear that he is doing something. A smaller and bearable concession in TV and movies to the slower viewers than dumbing down or forgetting plotlines I think. I gave some thought on the audible feedback and letter-by-letter presentation while communicating via text messages with an AI. It might feel a bit more comfortable for the user instead of a suddenly appearing complete answer?
  7. - Ask the witless elders in public transport - the same that yell into their phones as if it was a phone made with cans and a line ... - Well, our new system at work forces the use of the mouse so to speak, the older version was much more hotkey friendly, but I hate it, so maybe programmers in the future took a heart? Warp engines that warp the space to allow faster than light travel still need the ship to move by itself by other means to cross the folded space in front of it and that velocity is still retained after the warp field collapses. It is a depiction of what the sensors tell the computer, so I can live with that.
  8. C:\ksp_win\ksp.exe -popupwindow Works for me since .21 (or so). The folder structure is an example of corse!
  9. I would do them more often and for longer into a save, if they would join the line up of new kerbonaut candidates afterwards - retaining their experience points for maybe a higher price. As of now these contracts require strange contraptions with the parts available in the beginning. Later I aim for larger crews on longer trips, so my ships are already quite big without extra passengers tagging along. The cash - although quite decent - is not enough an incentive for me to keep a long lived tourist program usually.
  10. I have lots of games I never even touched. Many came with humblebundles I bought for another game in the same bundle, but I still tend to buy games that I know to be good (via friends whose opinions I trust in this regard) - but then tend to play the same games over and over, without touching the new ones. OT: My Portal 2 (and 1) suffer from this too.
  11. I find it difficult to comprehend the intentions and reasoning behind clean-cut-optimization. So, whenever words fail to convey a feeling inside me I resort to sarcasm. If you want something flat and even maybe do not have a lawn but extra parking space?
  12. Use a mod to create even more valuable stuff to mine for on far away planets and while you try to figure out how to do this you will automatically stop pondering the cheat question. Win win.
  13. Arent we still missing the level zero buildings anyway?
  14. To make things easier (for me ) I will just copy a post I made in another thread about this: Interesting idea, roughen the terrain on planets, but add places level enough to land on all over the planet. These do not have to be actual runways, just salt flats in the dessert, even areas of arctic ice, dirt patches in the grasslands - just represented by differently colored ground simply. I do not know (and cannot check right now) whether the tier 1 runway is actually physically bumpy or just programmed to be?
  15. So as of now - if nothing changed for 1.1 - scentists speed up data processing in labs and can clean out experiments, engineers learn different repair tricks each level and speed up resource drilling, pilots learn to point crafts at different markers on the navball. Apart from pilots getting the short end of the stick - and my suggestion still stands to make them more able at reaching the requested alignment more efficiently with less swaying back and forth - they could be made more useful from the start (or level 1) by enabling them to set action groups after launch. Either by EVAing next to the part and adding a right click option to it (set action group, followed my another popup window) or by enabling this option whenever a pilot is in the craft. I think both should be implemented to be able to "reprogram" unmanned probes and satellites - also making probes unable to do this, to make real pilots a bit more special.
  16. This post is old - this thread is old - but ... why ... how ... huh??

  18. The parts are just parts using otherwise already updated code. The camera would carry with it the need to update the asteroid detection/generation code for 1.1 - and since they already had to delay the new comm feature ..
  19. I hacked into the Squad mainframe and deleted the 1.1 master release candidate scheduled for next week.

  22. Do you use/did you ever link a political map of Kerbin?
  23. But most likely the most safe target ...
