I think you only add the female heads in the config you want to use and the default just does not get used? // Female heads. Texture names inside `Heads/` (without extensions). // The list must be space- and/or comma-separated and in one line. // Duplicated lists are joined. femaleHeads = kerbalGirl1 kerbalGirl2 kerbalGirl3 kerbalGirl4 kerbalGirl5 kerbalGirl6 kerbalGirl7 kerbalGirl8 kerbalGirl9 Headf1 Headf2 Headf3 Headf4 Headf5

Curiously one of my major laugh attacks while reading the books was because of a rather simple thing, when it is casually mentioned that after two/three books Arthur is still running around in his pyjamas and morning coat.

Went to Pol during my first and only (after all this time ...) complete Jool mission. My space program is usually not advancing fast enough (damn RPing ...) to get very far before the next update hits and I voluntarily restart my game.

Once more noticed that midnight is not a good time to start playing - not to mention design new crafts.

Teaching Aliens English (Or any other Human language)
KerbMav replied to Spaceception's topic in Science & Spaceflight
Old writings or a received message are totally different from actually meeting and communicating with another being or person for that matter. Even without words you are communicating by pointing, showing objects/pictures, demonstrating actions etc. - combined with audible sounds helps a lot in understanding an unknown language. Conveying the meaning of written words comes later is not that complicated once spoken words are understood. -
Sent the KSS Voyager - KSC's first nuclear propelled craft - on its way out of Kerbins SOI. Fuel capacity has been planned a bit to low, but I have a few ingame hours to abort the Munar gravity assist and bring it into an orbit their to wait for refueling. Basically it is just a training mission to collect experience and would need to go into Munar orbit and also touch down on Minmus anyway.

Yes, something like that. My plan B was leaving a spot for the SeniorDock to be attached later when I researched it and expand the ship afterwards - maybe attach the engines with decouplers radially for the time being or something like that - at least I can start building and using my ship.
-
Can KIS also bolt two crafts into one or can we only build part by part?
-
You are absolutely right of course!!! As much as I would agree with you in the case of making the Ghostbusters an all girls team, I think this one actually worked - for me at least, but then again I have watched The real Ghostbusters and both movies whenever I could and the old BSG not as often. On the other hand she really was (stereotypically speaking) almost like a guy with ... attributes.

Not so fast. I think I saw this kind of uniform - but the emblem was on the "buckle" of the shirt I think. But you havent been looking at his pic, have you?
-
Could we at least get rid of the automatic Syllabification at the end of a line?
-
Havent read this book, only know THGTTG and the two about Dirk Gently. I liked the BBC version of THGTTG. Seeing the pics it looks quite dark for his rather ironic-funny stories that I know?

Is it unreasonable of me to still think of producing hydrocarbons from industrial exhausts and seawater? I mean, if the energy comes basically free and in abundance from sun, wind, water, tidal, geothermal ... ? Well, I have to confess I have no real concept of the energies needed to reconfigure molecules.

1. - 4. Yeah, sometimes we have to exchange our brains for a box of popcorn to enjoy a movie. 5. I cannot remember anything about missing water, but wikipedia talks about crop blights and I do remember that something killed of crop after crop until they had nothing left they could grow. Everything being dry and the massive dust storms are probably the result of wide spread desertification. The water is still on the planet, just less evenly distributed. There maybe even areas where constant rainstorms make farming impossible.

For me one of the basic principles in a society should be the freedom of choice, refined by setting the bounderies for ones freedom where the freedom of another begins. Therefore I do not think it is dumb to raise these questions - without saying from the start "we must never do this". If you have the technology and find someone who is ready to hand over his brain to have its contents be digitized and the resulting data be edited as you need it you two can have all the fun in the world for all that I care. But maybe you are not creative enough to see the possibilities to abuse this technology or the person subjected to the process. It is never dumb to ask questions. Interposed question: Have you read The Queendom of Sol science fiction book series by Wil McCarthy? Just asking because mankind there had the technology to deconstruct a body into its molecules and reconstruct it again, younger, healthy, renewed, with blue skin, two ... organs, etc. - and also to duplicate themselves and merge both versions afterwards including memories. They had some trouble with people copying themselves to make slaves, abuse the copy in some way or another and even kill "themselves".

Now that I have picked up my jaw and put my eyeballs back in after reading ... this ... so, you are basically thinking that KospY intentionally removed all functionality from this mod and that everyone posting in this thread after the last release (11th Nov) must be using some older version since noone else is reporting what you are seeing? With that of my chest: Delete your KSP folder completely (or move it somewhere else), get a new copy from where you bought the game, get a fresh download from KAS and try again after making sure you installed the mod correctly, maybe something went wrong here. If it works again, start adding updated (1.0.5 compatible) versions of other mods (if you used any) and observe if anything breaks to check for incompatibilities between mods and KAS.

The small one supports one Kerbal, the bigger one four Kerbals while saving some mass - that's what I can get out of the part.cfg files. While fertilizer is available the bigger one increases its output by 2.4 - without needing more mulch. Should not fertilizer only make plants grow faster instead of bigger/more nutritious? (I am sure I am once more late to this party.)

SomeGuy123, I think you unintentionally touch deep philosophical and ethical topics. The movie "The 6th day" touches a similar topic: The antagonist - when mortally injured or maimed or just severly damaged but still alive - loads up his mind into a clone of himself and then disposes of the damaged body. As the clone only receives a copy of his mind, the old body is still him, still a sentient being, still an individual, still very much alive. How mentally deranged must someone be to copy his mind to a healthy body and instantly forget or willingly ignore he has been this person in the injured body - and still is? The mind has not undergone a spritual soultransfer leaving the old body behind, it is just a copy - a copy that than chooses to kill its other (not former!) self to remain unique. The movie "The Island" deals with clones serving as organ banks for their "originals"/the customers. These customers agree to have a real human being grown from their DNA and to kill this new human being should they ever need spare parts. Back to your suggestion: A copy of the downloaded mind is sent on a century long voyage, the mastercopy (Prime you, as you call it) remaining on earth, maybe even consenting (are they being asked or treated as property of the ministry of science?) that its copy has to endure the hardships of the voyage (does the copy get to decide for itself too?) - the question remains, would it be the right thing to do?

Moved 166 experiments (four from Sounding Rockets) from Kerbin surface all around KSC into a Crew Taxi going to the orbital science station for processing. Supplies will last 115 days (due to USI LS), by then I hope I will have rank three scientists to replace my rank two ones. For that I started designing a simple but hopefully reusable training vessel, able to go into Munar orbit, land on Minmus and hop into Kerbol's orbit before returning to LKO. Also started designing a larger exploration cruiser, but this one will have to wait until bigger docking ports are available to make it future proof.

Ah, OK, no code in the text field anymore ... hmmm ... and this will really work better on mobile phone (as mentioned somewhere)?

account/password got messed up after forum migration
KerbMav replied to TheNewCirocco's topic in Kerbal Network
I am back too, thanks Kasper! -
On the whole it is easier to have separate installs for different mod setups. HTH
This.
-
Just picking up two new recruits from LKO and flying them into Mun orbit for training purposes. The memory leak - and my mods - limits the time I can play before a restart, so I often drift back to marathoning Dr Who. (I want David Tennant back!)

Homebrew Career mode, or How Do You Play KSP?
KerbMav replied to Waxing_Kibbous's topic in KSP1 Discussion
How do you do this, is it basically cfg hacking? Is there a guide anywhere, I've read this can be done but haven't found specifics.
Yes, using ModuleManager and adding this cfg in my personal tweak folder under gamedata. I reduce the SupplyTime (time for survival without supplies on craft in seconds) and add supplies to the crew pods. The second bit was definitely not all my doing, but sadly I cannot remember who pointed the commands out to me to give credit where it is due.
@LIFE_SUPPORT_SETTINGS { @SupplyTime = 21600 @CausesDeath = True @ECAmount = 0.01 @OrangeImmunity = False @HomeworldAltitude = 50000 } // Rate of consumption is 1.08 Supplies per Kerbal per Day // Adds 5 days worth of Supplies (per kerbal seat) to Command Modules // Ignores parts that already have Supplies values declared @PART[*]:HAS[@MODULE[ModuleCommand],!RESOURCE[Supplies],#CrewCapacity[>0]] { RESOURCE { name= Supplies maxAmount = 4 @maxAmount *= #$/CrewCapacity$ amount = #$maxAmount$ } RESOURCE { name= Mulch maxAmount = 4 amount = 0 } } // Adds 10 days worth of Supplies (per kerbal seat) to non-Command Modules // Ignores parts that already have Supplies values declared @PART[*]:HAS[!MODULE[ModuleCommand],!RESOURCE[Supplies],#CrewCapacity[>0]] { RESOURCE { name= Supplies maxAmount = 8 @maxAmount *= #$/CrewCapacity$ amount = #$maxAmount$ } RESOURCE { name= Mulch maxAmount = 8 amount = 0 } }
