1.
I would assume FAR replaces everything stock aero related. Though it may very well be that there's a conflict going on. With FAR only, does the same thing happen? If not, then I'll take a look at making the module disable itself if it detects FAR.
With ModuleProceduralFairingFix.dll taken out and only FAR the COL still rises when a fairing is built.
 2.
I dont believe in "too soon". People are far too over sensitive. Make an engaging movie and people will enjoy it. Jeez its only been 3 years and they already have a "Bengazi" movie coming out. The first Pearl Harbor movie came out within two years of that attack. Time moves on, and so do people.
I 50% agree. The problem is not the to soon - it is that this would basically be a movie in which Pearl Harbor gets prevented, nothing gets dropped on Hiroshima, noone dies 1972 in the Olympic Village ...
 3. Done!
 4. Kerbal Alarm Clock is the answer, yes. Even for your first question, as you can set a maneuver node (eyeballing it) before reentry and let yourself be alarmed too.
 5.
Very cool. I suspect the author was impressed that it turned out so well with stock parts.
Yes, well deserved indeed, would like to see some of his LEGO creations. :)
That does bring up an interesting mod idea though-- Starfleet parts. ;)
Ask and you shall receive links!
 6.
How about a complete grand tour? I'm sure it's possible theoretically but the part count would be insane.
Combined with ISRU it can be much smaller - first stop would obviously be Eve, to get rid of most of the one-shot stuff used to claw out of there again.
 7.
How do you get the idea to pronounce an abbreviation like a word?? I say K S P obviously.
Radar, Laser ... :)
And my parents say "Kerbal" for the game and "to kerbal" for me playing computer. :)
Then maybe ... I am your father!
I am about 50/50 calling it just plain "Kerbal" or spelling out "Kay Ess Pee"
*giggle* He said pee!
 8.
The Best of Both Worlds- 'I am Locutus of Borg. Resistance is futile. Your life as it has been is over. From this time forward you will service us.'

'Mr Worf - fire!
The. Best. Cliffhanger. Of. All. TNG. Right up with Redemption. "Tasha?!?" And remember, instead of Locutus and Seven of Nine we might have had this. (Viewer discretion advised!)
 9. Something completely different but related: Is there a point where it becomes more efficient (in terms of electrical energy/battery usage) to add two more propellors/jets than trying to rotate your first pair faster? Also:
you can probibly push a fan to the point where centrifugal force will shatter any known material. its an engineering problem, though not as hard as building a fusion reactor.
This seems super relevant! 10. Flooding the space with O³ sounds good. Turn of gravity (so water sticks to walls and cealing), get all surfaces wet and microwave the module, afterwards induce explosive decompression. Combine UV and IR to "sun bath" and "cook" the germs simultaneously. Keep the temperature below -40° C and let the crewmembers wear spacesuits during quarentine to lower chance of infection by any residual contaminant. The common cold (which you do not get from being cold, that only weakens your immune system, just dress warm and drink more as you would in a very hot environment) is very rare in the arctic as the viruses cannot survive in the cold air and mucus from sneezing and coughing freezing instantly.
 11.
Well, it already is a great game, even if it isn´t finally released yet ;)
What does this remind me of ...
 12. Last time I picked up a book, luckily it was still sunny enough to read that evening. Regarding storms I got lucky, there were some nasty occurrences in the last years. But power outages are really rare where I live. At most we get a power fluctuation that does not even pop the fuses but restarts everything. In some rural areas of the country this is more of a problem, going as far as people depending on their computers for work to buy UPSs to intercept such spikes. I could suggest something based on Vanamonde's post, but I am not sure if ranting about big corporations also not investing enough in maintenance and infrastructure in favor of new Ferraris or to get the government/citizens to believe their "we need those power plants" to avoid building a reliable power grid would conform to forum policy. :P
This one time when power went out, I went downstairs and talked to the family members. Turns out they're quite nice people.
Woah, you so hard core, dude! :D
 13.
Don't delete things aside from configs. Read the OP.
Oops ... roger, roger!
 14. Launched four satellites in one go - was glad the remaining struts vanished after a scene switch. Put them one by one into a 1000x1000km orbit via the usual resonance orbit magic. First Mun probe flew with help from RemoteTechs flight computer to activate science gizmos on the far side without connection to KSC and a small course correction to set PE at Kerbin for reentry at 40km. Overlooked that I already had the tiny landing legs and picked a wrong tech node - so more science gathering is required to get to docking ports. [IMGUR]AStbO[/IMGUR]
 15. Gets an eukaryote. Inserts muriatic acid.
 16. It is difficult to pick THE favourite old game - something else always pops up from a different "era" or genre ... Tornado was cool, covering the whole keyboard with different funktions, using keys double and triple times just like Shuttle. :D
 17. Do the drills continue to fill the tanks or does it look like they stop working as soon as you leave them, not only the moment you come back to them?
 18. Since I induldged myself in some youtube comments I might as well write something in this thread as well. Updates, Patches and new content are good and for career mode new and incompatible updates are a blessing, as there is not really a big reason to keep at it for too long before wanting to start over anyway. I still havent been to Dres, I still havent landed kerbals on about four bodies - it keeps the game fresh in a way. (That and not playing it every day as well as frequent months of abstinence for other games or TV series marathons.)
 19. Does the fix for fairings work with FAR? My CoL moves really high with them and even with fins my rockets tend to flip.
I have upgraded from 1.0.4 to 1.0.5 and the stock wheels have lost grip. I had stock fixes only, not StockPlus. What grip multipliers (forwards & sideways) should I use to get the same behaviour with 1.0.5 StockPlus?
I dont know if the ice at Kerbin's poles is now simulated as real ice, but it took me thousands of meters to stop my plane after touchdown, even with the help of spoilers ...
 20.
Now, can you tell me when they added in "Your biological and technological distinctiveness will be added to our own"?
Should be the VOY episode in which 8472 gets introduced.
i dont even think that was the original use of the phrase either. trek didnt invent it.
Dive in! http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ResistanceIsFutile
 21. Whenever I load up a scenario/training mission - tested with "docking" and "Mun 2" scenarios - the craft instantly explodes. So before I start creating and uploading logs and mod lists, did anyone else have this happening?
 22. Wrapping up the last tourist-to-orbit contracts and starting to phase out this segment. New goal is to establish a com-network - this time without a pilot but fully automated, launching only one additional satellite to cover the launch and positioning of the four ComSats, which will be launched together on a single rocket - hopefully it wont get to wobbly! As soon as these are in place exploration of the Mun can begin. Somehow new careers are the most fun for me. ^^
 23. My trusty low-tech, 30 parts, four tourists orbital excursion craft. And something that finally flew - although not really well still, but I seem to get somewhere now! Landing was a bit rough, but it served as kind of a hovercraft to reach the contract waypoints.
 24. So my last post gets no attention in this usually so rules-uptight thread? -95 +++
