  1. I just imagined that it went down exactly the same way, only Anth found it faster because they're doing it as a job now.
  2. Congrats (condolences?) @Anth! I wonder how K.E.R.B. will fare without constant feeding!
  3. I am not, but you and they will be in my thoughts and I am so sorry for all of you. That is a horrible thing and I can't even imagine what it would be like to experience it. My heart is broken for all of you.
  4. I hate to say it but gaming news sites talk about games people want to hear about. KSP2 was never destined to be anything more than a momentary interesting blip on the radar, no matter how well it released. Mainstream gaming just doesn't care about it.
  5. I just picked one I recalled being particularly nasty in the comments. If that was the last one, so be it. Also I don't actually consider 5 months all that long. Especially when I don't consider that kind of communication worth it. It's possible that they decided to not bother and that's why they're not doing that anymore. I don't know, but it seems totally reasonable. And to be sure, I'm not saying they're all crying and hurt feelingsed and sad because of meanie meanie mean people being mean to their poor snowflake selves. I mean looking at time spent vs result and saying "well that was a total waste. Lesson learned."
  6. I'm not (and I don't think anybody else is either) talking about internal communications. So to be as clear as I can be, I meant: To the best of my knowledge no one on the team has ever mentioned that they will tell US something, and then not later actually tell us the thing. I'm aware they've not said what people want to hear, but they've always said it.
  7. Thank you for making my point. Chris' time would have been better spent that day working on the problem instead of explaining it to us lot.
  8. Any example? If the developers are so afraid of everything, then how did they get the courage to release the game and then talk about how proud they are of it? I mean, the forum...? But if you need a specific case, this write-up that could easily have taken a full work day to compose devolved into nitpicking about how x y or z wasn't being simulated. And I don't recall saying anybody was afraid of anything. I'm not sure where that came from. But if you keep getting your hand bit every time you put it in the cage, eventually you gotta wonder why you keep feeding that thing.
  9. I'd be happy with that, but there is at least one popular thread on this board asking why they don't communicate enough and I expect it'd be even more popular if nothing came out at all. It seems to me if they don't post anything, people complain that they're not posting. If they post a teaser, people read way too much into it. If they post a detailed essay about a problem and solutions they're working on/considering, people complain jointly that this should have happened 4 years ago and also that the solution proposed is terrible. The ONLY communication that could possibly be well received is "we've fixed bugs x, y, and z and also here's science mode, also bug free." And even then the first post after it would probably be "Multiplayer when?" --- EDIT --- I feel I should add, I do not recall an instance where someone said "we'll be discussing xyz soon" and then no discussion of xyz appeared. Sure they didn't say what people wanted to hear ("we're still working on it" instead of "it works now better than ever"), but still thing xyz WAS discussed as promised.
  10. I think communication is fine, yes. I truthfully don't know what or how they could communicate in a way that would satisfy anybody. Except making sure every single point of communication is on the Forum as a post by an Intercept employee or official Forum volunteer, but I gave up on that desire long before KSP2 was even announced. I truthfully, 100% believe that what everybody's upset about isn't that they don't communicate. It's that there's nothing to communicate.
  11. I see we're back to "everything is a lie" At this rate we should be back to "they don't communicate enough" before midnight GMT.
  12. It should be said, blaster guns with huge, bright, slow moving bolts of energy are not in the show you're watching because they're reasonable alternatives to regular guns. They're there for 2 reasons: They look cool. Star Wars did it.
  13. It was so cloudy and dark here we couldn't tell. We were petty far out from the line though.
  14. So we've seen human beings make mistakes. I wish I could go through life without it too but sadly it happens. Far, far too often.
  15. You just detailed the main Human argument from the Stargate TV show. Big blaster weapons are tools of terror, built to intimidate. Guns with bullets are tools of war, built to kill.
  16. I don't work for Take Two. In fact, the software I support is actually there to help our customers do their jobs.
  17. I opened a save file and found this: ROSTER { KERBAL { name = Jebediah Kerman gender = Male type = Crew trait = Pilot ... KERBAL { name = Bill Kerman gender = Male type = Crew trait = Engineer ... KERBAL { name = Bob Kerman gender = Male type = Crew trait = Scientist I mean it's right there may as well try. Just change "trait" to whatever you want your Kerbal to be. Back up the save first, of course. Always back up the save first.
  18. As this forum software ate my reply, I'm going to be brief. There was a disconnect between what we were saying and I'm willing to just drop it. We were talking about different things and I'm not going to detail it again. Not your fault. Not my fault (outside of trusting the forum software to not just toss my post away). I don't know if you'd agree with my point or I yours otherwise, but at this point it's too much work for how much I care.
  19. As part of "people" I feel the need to say I don't think this information needs to be made public. Just in case they're listening to some dude on the Internet's opinion.
  20. It's not being obtuse to say that a product that allows you to do your job is different than a product that lets you have fun.
  21. The easy way is to install a mod. It's been a while since I played but I remember Better Specialization Settings being able to do this.
  22. The best source these days for "all science available" is in the KSP wiki: https://wiki.kerbalspaceprogram.com/wiki/Science In particular, this table. You can take anything along the top row to the places on the left (in every SOI) to get new science (Sorry about the formatting it's better on the wiki): Kerbonaut Capsule Modules Surface Sample EVA Report EVA Experiments Asteroid Sample Comet Sample Crew Report Mystery Goo Observation Materials Study Temperature Scan Atmospheric Pressure Scan Gravity Scan Seismic Scan Atmosphere Analysis Infrared Telescope Magnetometer Boom Surface: Landed Biome Biome Global Biome Biome Biome Biome Biome Biome Biome Biome Biome Biome — — Surface: Splashed Biome Biome — Biome Biome Biome Biome Biome Biome Biome Biome — — — — Flying Low — Biome — Biome Biome Biome Global Global Biome Global — — Biome — — Flying High — Global — Global Global Global Global Global Global Global — — Biome — — In Space Low — Biome Global Global Global Global Global Global Global Global Biome — — — Global In Space High — Global Global Global Global Global Global Global Global Global Biome — — Global Global
