  1. There is no limit for weight, or fuel, etc, is there? And do the pylons count as aerodynamic parts? Either way, I will be sure to give this challenge a crack with FAR.
  2. Struts don't actually get their physics loaded. Similar to the radial batteries, RCS ports and RCS engines, their mass, drag etc has no effect on the ship. So, in theory, the struts should not be doing anything to make the ship lean. Unless if they patched the physics calculation in the .24.2 bug squash... But the struts should not actually be having any effect. Although it shows up as moving the CoM (if you place a lot) it shouldn't have any actual effect on the craft. Shouldn't. I'm not saying I'm right here, I'm just saying what I know.
  3. Not sure if anybody realised this, but this is in the tutorials section... I don't think this is a tutorial... You should've created this in the gameplay questions section.
  4. Resistance is worthless, so I give you some money. The next poster will be destroyed by my black hole.
  5. Granted, but you forgot how to make yourself un-invisible after you became invisible. I wish for my wishes to not be corrupted wishes when I am wishing for Steam Sales.
  6. They look exactly the same... maybe its just my eyes...
  7. I am loving BDArmory. Only a few suggestions, add more action group toggleable things for the weapons controller, like changing target type, changing team and changing guard mode. It would help me out a fair bit in the things I am doing.
  8. Challenge Accepted!! Also, maybe you should change the tag of this from [support] to [bug]. I shall report back on this challenge!
  9. Ah, also, on those mediafire links, change "view" to "download", so instead of viewing it, it takes people straight to the download page.
  10. At this point is when your curse the devs for not adding the ability to put kerbals in the command seats before launch... that is some crazy thing right there. I want to turn that into a big SSTO and take it to the mun. Could you now make a craft that has hitchhikers that carry an equal amount of kerbals so we can load the damn thing up?
  11. No, he clearly wants to propose to mr. chanange in an Orbit where moho orbited... and he wants to see a speedrun video for the final winer. Using the least amount of ingame time.
  12. Well, guess what! you are in LUCK!! It is pretty simple to delete posts, but I'm not sure if it is allowed in this section. I imagine it would be. Anyway, click on the edit button for your post. The simple editor will come up. Down the bottom right of the editor should be a button called "Advanced Editor", or something similar. Click on that, and it will take you to another full-hog editor. At the top of that editor should be an option to delete your post, along with providing a reason. Click on the delete post button, and click "Delete". Bam, and the post is gone. Hope this helps, ToTheMun
  13. Oh, searchbar. Heh, lol. I was just thinking, "what in the name is a seachbar.... is it seechbar? or....". Anyway, I think this is a great idea. It would definitely cut down the time spent scrolling, and scrolling, and scrolling, and scrolling. Then realising you've gone past the craft you wanted, than scrolling, and scrolling, and scrolling, and scrolling. You get the idea. Happens to me all the time. I would love to see this implemented.
  14. Why are you launching it from the launcher if a new update is a fair while away? I wouldn't really bother launching from the launcher unless I knew that a new update was soon to come. If you really want the launcher to... well, launch, then we are going to need some more info. Specifically, what OS you are on. Also, if there are any logs associated with the launcher (could somebody help me out with that one?), than try to get them uploaded too.
  15. It could be that your hardware (specifically CPU, because of the iGPU) is, as you said, under heavy load. What also come with heavy load? Heat. The lines could be showing due to the CPU becoming hot. Not hot enough to kill the machine and force it to shutdown, but hot enough for your display to start showing some artefacts. Seeing as the audio is looping as well as the pink lines on screen, I would say that it is probably a heat problem. Try getting the mac someone colder, perhaps but a fan mat underneath it, or use it in an A.C room (if you have an A.C in a room, that is). Hope this helps, ToTheMun EDIT: Also, as vexx32 said, could you please get some log files up? Try uploading the log files to pastebin.com (its free with no signup), or if you have mediafire/dropbox or equivalent, upload them there than put the linkies on this here thread. Cheers.
  16. I haven't done a suggestion in a looooong time... so I thought I'd give it a crack and suggest one. THE BACKGROUND Most of us people have good relationships with our family and friends (I assume). If you are a brother/sister and you have a brother/sister, I assume you love them. If you are a husband (I hope) you love your wife. Now, what if Kerbals had the same sort of relationship ties? Upon the random generation of the kerbals, relationship ties are also generated. The ties including: - Husband/Wife - Brother/Sister - Father/Mother/Son/Daughter - Friend/Enemy Those ties could be displayed along with the other info you are provided by when you are at the kerbal recruitment building. Now, THE SUGGESTION If in a craft, if two or more kerbals that have good relationship ties are in the same craft (does not apply to docked craft, although it could. What do you think?) a positive boost on several 'things' on the ship is given. For example: - Higher efficiency for RTGs, Solar Panels, Electricity usage on SAS - Stronger turning power from the pod itself, along with less electricity usage - Higher science return from science recovered or transmitted from the craft Possible future boosts could be (and also boosts for mods): - Sanity levels are better/higher - Autopilot functions better and is more accurate If you put two kerbals that have a bad relationship tie (enemies), than the boosts stated above would basically be the opposite. I think there would be more boosts than what I have outlined above, especially with integration for mods, but I can't really think of any. If you think of one that you think should be added to the list, just post what you think should be added. So, what do you think about this people?
  17. Do not start talking about 0.26 now. 0.25 isn't even in experimentals yet, so if you go around talking about what you want to see in 0.26, expect the mods to be right onto the thread. So people, try not to talk about 0.26 otherwise the thread will be locked. In other words, don't go off topic. The topic is "What you would like to see in 0.25" not "What you would like to see in 0.26". The latter has already tried to happen, but got locked straight away.
  18. I looked at that spreadsheet, and my mind instantly went: Very nice survey, BTW.
  19. What about an extra controller part, that once enabled acts a little like SAS. Firstly, the rover wheel power is linked to separate keys, which can be defined by the user. Rather than just the equal of W or S, it instead controls a power gauge, which goes into negative power (reverse) and positive power (forwards). For example, I would probably map my keys to something like P and :. Just because of the way I use my keyboard. Anyhow, with the added control part, you than activate by pressing another key that is mapped to your choice ('). There would obviously be default key mappings too. Press the key, the control module enables. A little window box comes up on screen, and you enter your desired speed in m/s. Once the speed is entered, the control module actively controls your power-gauge, moving it around to maintain the speed as best it can. Just an idea.
  20. A mechanic that involves a skill you can improve upon? What about, lets say, on each kerbal they have a certain 'skill level' of 'knowledge'. Perhaps the current stupidity meter comes into play. The higher the stupidity of the kerbal, when collecting science, the lower amount of science that sample or report will yield because of, for example: a) the kerbal not correctly handling a sample (because of their stupidity) the kerbal not correctly making a science report (because of their stupidity). So now lets say that with each poor report and sample, they get better because they start to get the hang of things (and they are sick of the scientists yelling at them). Over time of doing experiments, the stupidity will get lower, yielding you more science as you create reports and take samples. You could also send certain kerbals into 'science training' which costs funds, but reduces their stupidity a certain amount. With this method though, each science experiment would also have to be rejigged, so each experiment can be done an unlimited amount of times, but only up until a point it reaches a designated 'max science' point where you finally stop getting science from that experiment. This would make it more realistic too, as you would expect that the scientists won't have all the info they need from poor reports and badly handled samples. Just my idea on this thing.
  21. Rather than having a whole separate part for this, I would think that it would be more logical to have it as a module that is included in the cockpit part. After all, that is where the astronauts control the fuel flow. If you REALLY wanted, you could than make some parts and tack that module onto the part. Apart from that, I like the idea and would definitely like to see it implemented.
  22. Ahhh.... have you been reading the devnotes? It has been confirmed Spaceplane Plus is being added into KSP, so those are some parts for you. Not that I have anything against increased thrust on the ion drives, but as it is now, the thrust is no way near proportional to real life ion drives. And 250 thrust instead of 2.5? That is going to MASSIVELY increase the amount of electric charge and xenon gas being used. If it were to be increase to 250, than you're going to need a literal metric butt tonne of solar panels and batteries just to keep the ion drives going. Just saying. And I believe its more like "Optimization FOR multi-core physics support". This would increase the frames of high-part count ships, which is really better for people with less powerful computers (that have more than one core) and also increase the performance for people who want to make massive monstrosities (namely, Whackjob... and his insane creations)
