  1. Is it possible to add my own RPM page to an existing cockpit? The buttons are already full so how can the user selects it then?
  2. I think there is a problem with stock Mk2 parts. When I tried to build a simple aircraft using Mk2 parts and viewing the cross section graph, this happens: It seems that the Mk2 cargo bay loses voxel, and here is the zoomed in picture: I'm not an aerodynamics engineer but as far as I know voxels should form outside of the solid object, instead of inside: I have TweakScale btw
  3. Ferram is it possible for a modded wing to magically reduce voxel drag by several percent or so, or to directly manipulate the aerodynamic parameters without messing up with the wing geometry? Because there are techs in real life like Circulation control wing that increases lift without increasing drag by using blown air, or more scifi stuff like plasma drag reducer that reduces drag by using plasma.
  4. I love KSP because it works on Linux and I love sandbox games, especially with physics. But in terms of time played Dota 2 is much higher because my IRL friends plays it, while I already do my best to convince them to play KSP and almost everyone say it is too complicated... But in KSP there is no such thing as trashtalking by foreign players, or by your own teammate, or losing, or more trashtalking, or needing to use internet, and KSP can be paused, can be saved, can be reloaded, and I'm not punished by disconnecting.
  5. For some reason my KSP 1.0.2 with Linux cannot edit the tank contents after installing RealFuels with stockalike, so I emptied the gamedata folder so it only contains squad, so for all intents and purposes it is stock. Installing RealFuels with MM and it loads normally but without any tank modification, installing RealFuels with SolverEngines makes me able to edit tank contents but with engine still in stock fuel setting, and installing stockalike with bundled RCSFX make it stuck in loading screen at /Squad/Parts/Engines/omsEngine/omsEngine, and its the same with RCSFX v4.0 And that modded KSP cannot edit the tank contents, it because Big-S delta wing doesn't have RealFuel definitions so it can only be filled by liquid fuel, so the original bug isn't really the bug then
  6. Where is the 1.5m size thermal turbojet? The 1.1.9 download from Kerbalstuff only have the 2.5m size thermal turbojet EDIT: I realized that I haven't installed TweakScale yet, its my fault
  7. I hate to say this but: Nope! Until Squad fixes the heat bug Linux and several GB of RAM won't save you
  8. I think the biggest obstacle to this is not the technology, as it is possible to build self controlling nuclear reactor. But we have peoples that are claiming wifi is dangerous for our health, so they will go nuts if they hear about this Then there is the environmentalists complaining about leakage and waste management, then peoples afraid that terrorists can use the reactor for dirty bomb... and so on
  9. I already considered MJ to be possibly wrong, so I tried using haversine formula, which calculates the great circle. But it is so small! This deserves its own investigation and thread
  10. Seriously. I don't know. So I retry flying it again, with this as the starting condition: and checking MJ distance to runway, MJ distance from mark and F3 ground distance travelled and things are disagreeing with each other: and the discrepancy increases with distance: Something weird is going on. But maybe MJ is wrong, so I tried to use the haversine formula to measure distance between starting point and screenshot 2 and it returns 3.5 km, accounting for Kerbin radius of 600 km. And that is much more weirder
  11. Introducing KSS Glamdring, the simplest Kerbin circumnavigating vehicle... ish? Seriously. Pilot Assistant is so overpowered. Could I go faster? Could I go simpler than this? Currently I don't have time to test it out, but later I will.
  12. That is a wakeup call to me that I need to put some swap space soon
  13. Suggestion: Add a terrain following mode where the altitude hold isn't referenced to the above sea level altitude like the normal altimeter uses, but it uses radar altitude like MechJeb true altitude and IVA radar altimeter. So in the altitude hold add a selection box where we can chose to use above sea level altitude or true altitude.
  14. This is a very sad thing but upgrading to 1.0 doesn't fix my problem. Maybe KSP expects input from 0 to 65534 but Linux give it -32767 to 32767
  15. One does not simply update their heavily modded KSP to 1.0, that is why backups are invented
