  1. Thanx , but i absolutely do NOT use CKAN.... Also, as far as I know, CKAN does not do any hosting itself... It scrapes data from various hosts... (though this may change soon, from I hear some members of the CKAN team are involved with the new SpaceDock...???) I'm not asking for this to be hosted so i can get a copy myself.... I already have it... I'm asking so this awesome mod doesnt disappear, and will be available for everyone... (especially those who DO NOT use CKAN... )
  2. This would STILL be impossible with just one or two people doing this... Believe me, I KNOW... I've been doing it for a couple years now... I have a spreadsheet I keep, and its gotten crazy, just trying to handle between 300-500 mods... I spend WAYYY too much time on it that I shouldnt be...lol Granted, I was shooting for having the older, last released version of mods, for older versions of KSP, stay on the list, so people playing old versions would know what versions were backward compatable....As well as keeping important notes on dependencies, incompatabilities, or other most important details about the mods... I was relying heavily on KerbalStuff for a lot of that old info, and now with KS shutting down, the wind is out of my sails for continuing the project... Anyway, back on point, it CERTAINLY would take one or two people a LOT of time, and effort to keep such a list up to date... Theres also dealing with, WHICH mods to keep track of... One person's gem of a mod, may be seemingly pointless to another... And remember there are probably over a couple THOUSAND unique mods, changing at any one time...
  3. Yeah, I just opened my client, and immediately got 31 seeders & 52 peers...
  4. Too bad no one has picked this up to integrate into their mods... This looks like it could open up a Telemachus type deal for ALL kinds of mods...
  5. Ahh.. That might be your issue... 0.5 RC3 is the older version, and it was compiled for KSP 0.90... You want to use 0.5.1 RC1 Repacked... That was the most updated version, meant for 1.0.2...
  6. @tg626 Now that KerbalStuff is shutdown, is there any chance you could rehost this on its replacement site, SpaceDock.info?... Or at least somewhere? Thanx!
  7. Here's another simple thing I totally appreciate that Curse doesnt seem to support: A place for a direct link to the KSP Forum Release thread.... When you host a mod there, on ALL the several "project" pages, NOT ONE SINGLE LINK goes to the KSP forum... All the links just go to more confusing pages on Curse... And WTH are "shareables"?!?... Who cares about THAT?!... All I ask is a single DIRECT LINK to the KSP Forum Release Thread for the mod... I mean, Squad went with, and officially supports Curse.... Yet Curse cant do the same for Squad?!?.... They have one "Official Forums" link at the top of all Curse pages, that just links to the main KSP Forum List page... BIG DEAL...
  8. DING! DING! DING! Congrats, SpaceDock Team! You've just reached 200 mods hosted, and 1,030 users in just a few days... Well done! And again, a BIG THANK YOU to SirCmpwn, for originally developing the working code, and for a seemingly quick and painless handover, despite the heated situation... Hopefully SpaceDock will hit 1000 mods by next week...
  9. @RangeMachine Thank You for uploading to SpaceDock... One thing though, shouldnt the version number listed on SpaceDock be 1.4.0, not 1.0.0?... Might cause confusion for people who have old copies...
  10. Ooooo... How have I missed this???... @Deimos Rast Thanx for bumping this thread so I came across it... And THANX for making this available magico... I think I will get much use out of it Though, maybe with the mediafire ban, maybe throw this up on SpaceDock?...
  11. Are you talking about your fork of the mod, or also removing cychotha's versions? if cychotha's, I vote for pleeze leaving them... I know some people still like to pay older versions of KSP... I for one still play 0.25 occasionally, and have 0.25 & 0.90 installs just for my son to play (easier aero & physics, stuff)... Thanx for putting it up on SpaceDock, either way... Thanx...
  12. Yup... I was thinking keep the existing models, but also keeping the basic design on both, and on the inline, making a sliding "door" to cover the "notch" the boards sit in... So when closed, it looks similar to a large inline SAS... On the radial part, I'm thinking making it a little more "streamlined", and laying the "boards" , on their side, longitudinally, rather than end-out as they are now... And then, also a smaller radial core for just 2-3 boards... Customizing the boards to support various mods is already very easy... I've already made a couple... The idea of miniaturization is pretty interesting... I thought about smaller parts, and combining functions, but hadnt thought about using techtree nodes to implement miniaturization... :thumbs-up: As to combining functions, I thought, Nah... Cuz at what point could you just put everything on one board, with a tiny slot for a core... The mod would be down to one or two parts... And that would not be as FUN... lol
  13. I ran out of "likes" already for today... Thanx for the update on that, keeps me from begging, like I've been doing all day...
  14. Thats one reason I'm thinking about making new core models for myself.... These are NICELY done, and I could see as far as aesthetics go, using the existing models in cargo/service bays, but I'd like to try something a little different...(I have OCD, too)... Also, I'm thinking an even smaller core, for just two or three "chips"... (And thats another thing triggering my OCD... Between that, and my years of professionally building and repairing circuit boards, calling these "chips" instead of "boards" makes me cringe...lol)
  15. @Kitspace It sounds like something may be messing with the toolbar textures... 1) Do you have Active Texture Management, or any other texture replacing/modifying mod installed? 2) Do you use Blizzy's Toolbar mod? 3) or perhaps something happened incorrectly with the re-install?
  16. Give it time.... @alexustas hasnt been on in almost a month, but I'm sure he'll rehost all his mods once he logs back on... I'm sure he knows how popular and loved the ASET mods are, and wouldnt leave everyone hanging...
  17. Good point... If I ever was to do anything with this, I guess I'll double check all the configs to see if they are copied verbatim from the other mods or not...If so, I'd try contact the other authors just to cross the t's & dot the i's for permission... They'll probably need significant changes made, at least, when 1.1 drops anyway, and could maybe just be re-written... Thanx for the advice on picking up others' mods... I've updated a few mods' .cfgs already, and picked up Deadweasel's DeadSkins textures... Though I guess I DID jump the gun on that, and assumed Deadweasel wasnt around... I DO consider the licenses as one of the first things I even consider before trying to modify a mod, though.. EDIT: Hahaha @JPLRepo I know you, and that you have mods out (AmpYear), and I know the Tarsier mod, but I just realised YOU are the new Tarsier guy, too... lol
  18. Thanx @swjr-swis ... I have a unique situation, where I can not readily access any Github domain, and I like to see mods get hosted on multiple mirrors (to help keep them from disappearing, like what has happened with lots of the stuff exclusively hosted on KerbalStuff alone)... I thought since it was up on KS before, if the author is still around at all, might be willing to host on SpaceDock as well, again...
  19. Thanx @JPLRepo Although on the license, the only issue might be with @bac9 's texture for the large core... But I thought that was already taken care of? There doesnt seem to be any code included in the mod, and other than the bac9 portion of the textures, I believe everything else is original work, so shouldnt be any need to license with any of the mods that this mod supports... I've been dabbling in modelling a few KSP parts already, and have been thinking I wanted to try my hand at redoing both computer cores for this mod (for my own use...)... If I get the models done, maybe I'll try to contact micha, and see what their plans are for this, and if nothing, then maybe I'll see if I could take it over...
  20. OH!... I forgot there was a size limit... Sorry...
  21. I read that too, I guess its not clear to me either, if that means Yemo wont update THIS thread anymore, and everything will be on the main thread... ??? If thats the case, then maybe @Yemo should clarify that and link in the OP, and close THIS thread, so future questions for THIS mod get directed to the SETI thread... ???
  22. @blowfish Ahhhh... Thanx... My bad... I'm going thru my list, checking things that I had marked that were exclusively hosted on KS... KS going offline really messed me up... lol I cant access Github domain, due to a POS router... I guess I'll have to make arrangements to start checking Git from now on, before begging for re-hosting... lol
  23. @Wardstone111 It seems @Yemo hasnt updated THIS thread with new link yet, but he posted all new ones for his SETI stuff on the main SETI thread, link to which can be found in Yemo's signature... Here's direct SpaceDock link for the SETI Greenhouse
