[0.90] Kerbin Shuttle Orbiter System v4.13
Stone Blue replied to helldiver's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Nope -
I had this same exact issue, with Lubuntu 15.04.... I cant remember what I did to fix it tho... Some suggestions, on what it might have been tho: Try running in windowed, then fullscreen mode... Make sure you hav the latest video drivers.. If you have Nvidia graphics, do NOT use the Nouveau driver... IIRC, when I had the issue, the latest Nvidia driver was 355, or 352?... I then tried either the 346 or 340 driver, and for some reason I remember going with one of the 34x.xx drivers, as there were issues with the 35x driver... So you may have to try an older vers. if the latest doesnt work... Also, if you are using a display that is not natively supported by KSP, try changing your display settings manually in the KSP settings.cfg... Restart Ksp... it may take a couple tries... (I have a 1600x900 laptop...So not natively supported by KSP... But changing it in the settings. cfg. it now fits the screen properly...) IIRC, those were about the only things I tried when I had the disapperaing orbits/zoom issue...

[1.10.1+] Contract Configurator [v1.30.5] [2020-10-05]
Stone Blue replied to nightingale's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
^^ Yup... I have a very modified forum theme... I knew that was the issue, as 80% or more of ALL mod release thread OP's are all buggered up in some way for me since the Great Switch... I just wanted to tease you a bit about it...lol Tho I DID much prefer the table, but I completely understand why that had to be changed... Here's what the post looks like thru MY eyes...lol :- 5,206 replies

@HrabCOrp please see my PM... Its kind of time sensitive... Before anyone mentions it, I'm gonna help HrabCOrp work on getting licensing up...

PLEEZE!!... Not again... EACH has pros, and each has cons... Every one just needs to realise, even though they prefer one, and hate the other, having alternatives, competition, and CHOICES is ALWAYS better than just ONE possibility... No matter HOW perfect that one possibility seems... We HAVE to have GOOD with BAD, as one defines the other, and with only one, there is just stagnation, and blind acceptance

Hmmm... Without installing this and seeing it IN-GAME, the file & folder structure, & .cfgs, look like its most definately more than just a simple .craft file...

Yeah, I'm hoping the OP is still being edited... Cus this thing will be dead within a day, if thats all the "presentation" it gets... Which would be a shame, cus it looks SWEET, and IS kind of a fresh take on the whole idea... I know if I give this a try, I'll be naming mine "Atlantis"... And maybe reviving FusTek's Munox modules for use as "puddle jumpers"...

Could be... And yes, i noticed its been slow over the past few days, and today its worse, with occasional 504's even popping up... I almost posted, myself, on this very thread a couple hours ago... And I JUST posted my 1st ever mod "release" ever on KS last night...Maybe my upload was the "last straw...", and its MY fault... lol I hope its only temporary, and not that its outgrowing server space... I would hate to see KS disappear, simply because it outgrew hosting space... I wish I could donate, but I'm unemployed...
-
Uhhh.... WOW!!!.... Is the inside (buildings/modules) user configurable/editable?... Is this a single part?... or a craft file?... Awesome, whatever it is though... very nice...

[1.3.1] Aviation Lights v3.14 [use MOARdV's version instead!]
Stone Blue replied to BigNose's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
So, I managed to get a working update for KSP v1.0-v1.0.5 on the DeadSkins textures for Aviation Lights, for anyone who may be interested... DeadSkins for Aviation Lights Continued Hope you dont mind me posting this here, @BigNose... (If so, LMK & I'll remove it).. and THANX for the original Aviation Lights mod... I've been using them, exclusively, on everything I build, ever since I first discovered the mod...- 799 replies

^^ I'm sure it could probably be done with a plugin... However, right now, that is beyond my abilities... Updating this "mod", is just a baby step for me... I know practically nothing about modding, especially coding... Also, both this mod, and Aviation Lights are NOT created by me, so there's also the consideration of reverse engineering someone else's work... Right now, from what I can tell, and based on what little I know about plugins, Aviation Lights makes changes to light color, brightness, and timing (flash modes), with values in the part.cfg files... I imagine to do as you suggest and combine all the textures/colors into ONE part, would best be accomplished by a .dll and a GUI, with sliders... Again, beyond MY abilities, and would probably require rewriting someone else's mod, or at least major changes... I will probably play with this mod a little bit more, both to see whether it can be done without major work, and also as a learning tool for myself... I admit, out of the 7 different parts, I only really use two of them... So I prune out the ones I never use... I'm not even sure you can do that, while using DeadSkins... I have to test that yet...

[0.24] DeadSkins 1.3 for AviationLights
Stone Blue replied to Deadweasel's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Just in case anyone is still interested in these, I've released an updated version for KSP v1.0 thru 1.0.5: DeadSkins for Aviation Lights Continued Thanx for all the original time & effort on these, Deadweasel!! ... I've appreciated using these for a long time, and it seemed such a shame for them to just disappear... -
These are 5 new high-res (512x512) skins that are double the resolution of the stock AviationLights. (New skins also include super handy, ultra-futuristic system for quickly finding the light you want from your undoubtedly massive collection of parts!) These are skins only; if you don't have the AviationLights mod yet, what are you waiting for? Get it now! AviationLights Pic showing the 5 different lenses, the newly titled part icons in the editor, and a couple different colors DEPENDENCIES (required mods) AviationLights ModuleManager Either Firespitter (need v6.3 or later), OR Interstellar Fuel Switch You only need the "core" plugin for either one. Everything else in them is not required. (Both can be installed at the same time; Interstellar Fuel Switch will take precedence) RECOMMENDED mod: Part Icon Fixer & Tweaks (This is what rotates the editor icons for easier visual identification between the parts) INSTALLATION: Just extract the ZIP and drag/drop, or copy/paste the GameData folder to your KSP install folder, click "Yes" to combine with existing /GameData folder. (You should now have a DeadSkins folder inside your GameData folder.) ** MAKE SURE that you also have all the mod dependencies installed already, as they are NOT included with DeadSkins!! Download: SpaceDock BONUS FEATURES: I've included two custom .cfg files: One changes the part title that is displayed in the VAB/SPH, so all 7 of the lights are grouped together in the editor. The other is for use with the Part Icon Fixer & Tweaks mod, to display a larger and properly rotated part icon in the editor. (If you dont want to use the functionality these .cfgs offer, just delete them from the /AviationLights folder) CHANGELOG: LICENSE: CC-BY-NC-SA 4.0 CREDITS: DeadSkins for Aviation Lights Re-Lit is an update of @Deadweasell's original DeadSkins for Aviation Lights mod. Also, of course, a BIG Thank You to @BigNose for creating Aviation Lights in the first place! A HUGE Thank You to @MOARdV for maintaining AviationLights during BigNose's absence, and for putting up with and answering my MANY questions. A big shout-out to @Skalou, for writing the two patch files for changing the displayed title, and the Part Icon patch, and especially for giving me permission to modify & distribute them in this texture pack. Thanx to @xEvilReeperx for the Part Icon Fixer & Tweaks mod Thanx to @Snjo for Firespitter Thanx to @sarbian for ModuleManager

[1.3.1] Aviation Lights v3.14 [use MOARdV's version instead!]
Stone Blue replied to BigNose's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
EDIT: Nvm... I fixed it... Just needed to realise Firespitter updated the texture switch module... I'll see about releasing an updated version soon... So, can someone take a look at THIS: Deadskin's AL Textures, and see if v1.3 can be updated to work in 1.0.5? It has a 4.0 license... I tried tweaking a couple things in the .cfg, but no change... All I get when placing the part in the VAB is the Next/Previous Texture buttons showing in right-click, but nothing happens when switched... & Yes, Firespitter & MM are both latest releases... I didnt bother converting the textures to .dds... I wanted to see if it even worked first, before doing that... I can say v1.2 worx in 1.0.5... But that just OVERWRITES the original AL textures... No FS switching involved... I can at least verify the Description Change & Part Icon Fixer .cfgs for Aviation Lights still work in 1.0.5... lol- 799 replies

[0.90] Kerbin Shuttle Orbiter System v4.13
Stone Blue replied to helldiver's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
@DanB96 Links on OP are not working since the "Great 2015 Forum Debacle Switch"... You can still find the "Complete" .zip on [Moderator removed defunct website] Be aware the mod has NOT been officially updated for 1.0.5, so use at your own risk!!! -
Well, I admit, politeness aside, my reasoning is very selfish: I'm a lazy typer, and he/she is very quick & short...lol I also admit, sometimes I just type "someone said", or "someone posted", instead of giving credit to that specific person even though I know who it was... Again, typing "someone" is quicker than looking up and typing an unfamiliar user name...lol

Mk 2.5 fuselage expension (V0.1 released on 25/03/2015)
Stone Blue replied to BenjiGH's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
^^ Yeah, too bad it seems abandoned, and worse: there was never a license posted...So it would have to be redone from scratch... Well, at least it was only three simple parts... Maybe someone will pick up the form factor/idea and run with it... ??? -
Geostationary Orbit
Stone Blue replied to RocketScientistsSon's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
RCS thrusters also have have the ability to change limits... And I'll add that, rather than changing limits on several RCS thrusters, I found placing a single Ant engine is even more "fine-tuned" and I can get even closer to a perfect orbit.... (I havent tried ion engines yet...Maybe this discussion will give me reason to try now...) I'll also state that KEO orbit seems to be: Kerbisynchronous Equatorial Orbit (KEO) has a circularly uniform altitude of 2 863.33 km and a speed of 1 009.81 m/s, and NOT 2868.75/1009.0m/s, as I had always thought for a long time... -
Well, I would imagine that's part of why the 9th planet is STILL only theoretical...

I must say, there is one circumstance where I would like to know a forum member's gender: on EVERY post of mine where I quote, repond to, or specifically refer to that person, I always have to wonder if they are male or female... Weird; creepy; stalky, you say.... Well, no... Its only to wonder if I need to use "he" or "she", rather than having to type out a whole user name, some of which, I have to pause, scroll up several posts, and try to remember odd combinations of alpha-numeric names... Generally, I admit, because I know there is such a gender gap, I just usually go with "he"... So as this poll is showing, i guess I tend to offend someone in 1 out of every 10 posts of mine...lol Also, as far as this specific poll, I dont see the problem with it the way it was posted...I mean as far as it just asks simply enough "one or the other"... If a thread like this gets locked, I can only imagine its because of the people who REPLY, by identifying specifc people without their consent, or by making, stoopid offense comments... ???.... (Granted, the OP can probably identify and deduct gender by people's votes/comments), but who is really to blame for this type of poll getting locked? Maybe you all should THINK before replying... It's a simple, general question, no commentary or specifically, "specifics" required...

[Request] Detect if a Part that is Pruned Will Affect Your Save
Stone Blue replied to Probus's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
@Probus Hmmm... SO I just checked, and it seems you are correct... Either I am not remembering correctly, tho I could SWEAR there was a way on the part tab to see if a specific part was used on a craft or not (possibly didnt NAME which craft, but at least indicated it was used on at least ONE craft), OR that functionality may not have been carried over to the newer AnyOS version of the mod... All I could say is, check back thru the release thread, and find just before the AnyOS version came out (Apr-May 2015)... I want to say the last prior version was something like 1.4.0... OR maybe check the Wiki for that functionality?: https://github.com/MacTee/KSP-Mod-Admin-aOS/wiki You might be able to get a copy of the older version, and run that... Sorry if I misinformed you ...
