  1. I guarantee that if they made it, that would have gone to Mars, hence the large amount of people. More people, less insanity.
  2. To fit that many people, it would be 3.125/3.75 for the CM and then the SM would probably be 5 - 6.25, so we would definitely need one of the Bigger Nova or the Sea Dragon for that CSM.
  3. Looks like it was designed for Sea Dragon or one of the bigger Nova's, so I doubt we'll get it as @CobaltWolf has said they have no desire to make any of the Nova's, not even the C-8 or Saturn Nova. I'm not speaking for them, I'm just going off past information as I recall it.
  4. A beautiful shot of FSS from below and slightly behind. Shot taken from Apollo 21 CM. A good look at the science section. "Kouston. This is Serenity. Apollo 21 has docked. Freedom is fully operational." (Freedom was designed to be manned by 10 people for those wondering why it's now fully operational.) Apollo 21 Crew: Pilot: Corford Scientist 1: Miney Scientist 2: Merfurt Engineer 1: Leafurt Engineer 2: Jerberry
  5. Space Station Freedom in complete form, from Eyes Turned Skyward, with Apollo 20 just docked. Apollo 20's crew consists of Jebediah, Bill, Bob, Valentina and Bartfal. Image was taken right at sunset, hence the low light. Apollo 20 is a Block IV design. (Block IV's service module is slightly longer than the Block III's service module, hence the Restock reaction wheel to elongate the service module to around correct length.)
  6. Will you guys be doing conceptual rockets such as the Europa 3, 4 and 5?
  7. If you look through the thread, you will see that someone is working on it. https://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?/topic/132755-113-kso-kerbin-shuttle-orbiter-legacy-packs-development-updates/&do=findComment&comment=3584182
  8. This has been on my mind for a little bit, but how do you think they will react? Will we be able to say, turn our craft around and use the orion drive as a heat shield? I also wonder if we'll be able to do half in atmo half in vacuum style space stations. Will the atmosphere just drag it down? Or will it remain on its rails? Will it depend on the weight of the station, say you have a 40 tons of the station dipping into the atmosphere and then 100 tons in space, will that 100 tons tell the game to keep the station on rails, or will the computer go, "That's illegal." And force us down because of that 40 tons? I'm not sure I'm explaining this well. Basically, I'm asking if you guys wonder if this would be a 'feature,' a half in half out station. Think space elevator, but the space elevator isn't connected to Kerbin and is allowed to orbit at it's own speed/etc. Another thing, will we be able to land the big ships? Or will the physics engine cry as it implodes and forces are ship to explode on contact with the ground?
  9. They've already confirmed its in almost the same location, just a face lift for the terrain.
  10. A really old thread. You necro'd it back to life. Crawlers aren't on topic for this thread. There aren't even crawlers in KSP 2. The crawler the tower is attached to is an inanimate object.
  11. The autostruts are... tricky. You have to play around with them. One thing, don't autostrut the motor, I've found that autostruting the motor can make it not want to move. And even autostrusting the parts that the motors are moving can cause it to jam the motor up. You just have to play around with it, find out what works and what doesn't. Make your craft then launch it, after it's launched, test the motors, if they don't move, unstrut the motor or move it to a different struting position. Do the same for any parts the motors move. Also, I'm a he lol.
  12. A lot of games made are still single or dual core performance optimized. Intel and AMD are pushing multi core cpus so they can raise prices. It has nothing to do with the video game industry. Multi-core physics is a can of worms that needs time and money that Take Two probably isn't willing to shill out. After all, KSP 2 is still considered an indie title. I foresee KSP 2 physics being single core optimized, just like KSP 1. Simple and easy. Maybe a future update might bring better physics down the line.
  13. I never said anything about threads, only cores. I never said KSP wouldn't be multi-threaded. Even single core games run multiple threads. Thousands of them in fact.... Threads are the most confusing thing in the computer world. "Multi-threaded" can be a 4 core acts like an 8 core, or it can mean the system is processing "threads." Anyway, Also yes, most CPUs today are 4.5 to 5.0 ghz, but the majority of people are still actually on old hardware running 2.5 to 3.5 ghz CPUs such as the 2000 or 3000 series Intels. Of course, you do have overclockers that are getting 4 to even 4.5 ghz out of those 2000/3000 series. DOTS didn't come out until after production was far down the line. KSP2 will more than likely not be using DOTS. KSP2 started production around 2017 to 2018. DOTS came out mid 2019(?).
  14. Going multi-core might not be such a good idea. Splitting the load up among multi-cores might actually hinder physics handling. Physics handling loves single cores, because now all the calculations are in a single place. If you split up the physics load to multiple cores, now the cores have to piece together the physics calculations, which means there's room for error. Going single-core might be best, just like with KSP 1. Also, even if they choose single-core and multi-core, you're still going have to rely on your CPU speed. Physics LOVES speed. A 4.5ghz to 5ghz cpu does way better than a 3.5 ghz to 4 ghz cpu. I should know. I went from a X99 to Z370 and KSP suddenly performed better for me.
  15. I don't remember Nate saying "no weather" but instead they are working on the "atmospheric system" which implies there may actually be weather. No guarantee. I think that they are doing this: They will work in the atmosphere system up until launch. The game will launch with clouds and very minor weather sounds. Whipping wind, the sound of ice build up on planes, maybe a thunder crackle or two in thick clouds. They will continue to work on the system to achieve one of two things. 1) the game will get a weather update 2) they will announce the atmosphere system can support weather phenomena and leave it up to the modders to implement different weather systems.
  16. Wonder what the limits on that are. Can we build a space bridge or is the runway limited to staying flat?
  17. Wasn't there a concept for a non-boil off fuel centaur stage that got scrapped due to costs or something? Wasn't it the shuttle centaur? Or am I remembering wrong.
  18. It was a considered concept. Along with the Gemini ferry. But anything you can give us to make the lander more transportable would be greatly appreciated.
  19. Huh, I could have sworn it did. But I just checked and you're right. Hmmm, well, I'm not getting the spacing that @Nucluer is getting.
