  1. Carbon NanoTubes. And Optical has no transistors, everything is light based, so the only clock speed limitation is the light itself. So you need higher clock speed? Shorter fiber optic cable. You need slower clock speed? Longer fiber optic cable. Or you could send the light through water. Water slows down light drastically.
  2. I see discovering other planets and solar systems as a major way of earning science/funds like in Research Bodies. And of course, you could always turn it off in the settings menu when you get bored of it. Oh! Idea! Someone should make a random planet generator for KSP 2, that way there's a real reason for having FOW. That's what the new planets and solar systems are for. They want to leave the Kerbolar system alone so that new players can easily get into the game and the old players don't have to relearn the whole system again.
  3. I wonder how well a CNT CPU/GPU or a Optical CPU/GPU would handle physics since they both supposedly have far better performance than transistor-based CPUs/GPUs
  4. True, but irl you have to find planets and solar systems. So it does add immersion.
  5. I had this thought that KSP 2 should have telescopes, and that got me to thinking it should also have a Fog of War outside of the Kerborler System. It would make it more realistic if we had to find the new planets and solar systems before being able to go to them. Now, I'm not suggesting we scan the whole sky ourselves. This is what I'm thinking. 1) Launch a Radiological Telescope into orbit and it continuously scans the sky in a grid like pattern. 2) When it detects a planet or solar system, it will inform the player 3) The player will check their map to see that there is a question mark symbol around the area where the planet/solar system is. The question mark will be kind of like how asteroids are now. 4) Player launches space telescope 5) Player looks around area where the question mark is 6) Player spots planet or solar system 7) Planet/solar system becomes available to view in map view 8) Plan interplanetary mission 9) ??? 10) Profit
  6. The engine mount for the Titan heavy/wide body. You have a inline 3 engine mount. I was wondering if you could make a inline 4 engine mount like the Direct Jupiter.
  7. Okay, thanks for the answer. Oh, also, I was wondering, could you make an inline-four node for the Titan Wide Body Core? Jupiter-Titan analog would be nice.
  8. Can't seem to find info on the satellite, nor can I find what the orbit is called, but I do remember that they did have a satellite that pseudo orbited the ISS.
  9. Lol, it's very confusing, so I don't blame you. Took me some time to grasp the concept of that satellite orbiting the ISS. It does the same thing as the example posted above. It orbits alongside the ISS and simply switches orbital paths with it.
  10. No, it wouldn't. They would be orbiting the star, their paths would simply be close together. They aren't orbiting something orbiting the star. For example sake let's say there's a star with a left and a right to it. Rask's orbit: 300km with an eceentricity pushed a little to the left. Rusk's orbit: 300km with an eceentricity pushed a little to the right. They orbit the same time period, but at some points they will change who's closet to the star. Like Pluto and Neptune.
  11. Another solution would be to have them in the same orbital path, just slightly offset from each other. The ISS actually uses this. It has a satellite that orbits it. How? The satellite actually orbits Earth, but in the same plane as the ISS, just slightly offset. They could apply the same result to Rask and Rusk.
  12. Really? For how thick some tails look? Huh. Well, they could still add icing windows, just not from comets. High altitude planes, ice worlds, Duna's polar caps, etc.
  13. Why not? It would just be cosmetic and limited to IVA view. There's no reason why they wouldn't ice up.
  14. From the Kickstarter: No money was taken from people. You PLEDGE money, which means you agree to pay the amount of money you say you will, and ARE NOT CHARGED. You WOULD be charged IF and ONLY IF the game met it's funding goal. It DID NOT meet it's goal, therefore NO money was taken, therefore money was NOT robbed from anyone. Research goes a long way to stopping false accusations.
  15. Just thought of something. Comets. There should be comets in KSP 2. And when you fly through the tail, the windows on your craft should ice up.
  16. They said we'll be getting updates after the KSP 2 section of the forums is fully fleshed out, but before they can do that they said they need to upgrade the servers.
  17. Kerboler system isn't changing except for a face lift so I wouldn't count on a volcano on Duna or Dres, but they did say each new planet will have it's own unique features and will provide both landing and taking off challenges.
  18. Oh! I just remembered! They said explosions will have force behind them! So I'm going to try to make a TNT cannon to launch a Kerbal into orbit.
  19. Drive out to a nearby desert or country side at night. Get as far from city lights as possible.
  20. I want to try and reach the speed of light. I dont care if I doom Jeb to a life of endlessly drifting in the black void of space... actually, might collide with the skybox... both seme him into a void...
