  1. Hm... I remember that being a scatterer glitch but it's interesting that it's not there when you only have scatterer installed. Could you try going into GameData/Spectra and move the scatterer configs folder out and see if it disappears? My guess is my kerbin configs are acting up.
  2. Are you referring to manual installation or CKAN? PlanetShine still works with 1.7.3 despite being labelled as outdated. Manual installation works perfectly fine but CKAN doesn't like it much
  3. Curious I'm glad it's working now! And thank you for the compliment for rings around Kool you might need to cannibalize the config files from a different Kopernicus mod that adds them. I wasn't a fan of them myself so I never added rings to Spectra but I totally get the appeal.
  4. Hey! I'll try to help, but more importantly though, there are a number of things wrong with that list: Out of date mods: DockingPortAlignmentIndicator (1.6.9) KerbalAlarmClock (1.6.9) Astrogator (1.7, not sure if 1.7.3) Scatterer-sunflare (1.6.9) TransferWindowPlanner (1.4.9) RasterPropMonitor (1.6.9) EnvironmentalVisualEnhancements (1.7, not sure if 1.7.3* Could only be for CKAN download, I know the github version is up to date) ModularFlightIntegrator (1.6.9) ChattererExtended (1.4.9) ProgressParser (1.6.8) RealTimeClock2 (1.6.1) Timekeeper (any version* I never trust a mod that says it will always be up to date. Last update was in 1.5) Toolbar (any version* see above) WaypointManager (1.6.9) MagiCore (any version* see above. Last update was 1.7.2, though, so it should be good) PlanetShine (1.4.9) ManeuverQueue (1.6.0) PlanetShine-Config-Default (1.4.9) Almost the entirety of your mods list is out of date... I'm surprised you could even launch KSP before installing Spectra. You'll need to clear that up first I'm afraid. Spectra-incompatible mods: StockVisualEnhancements SVE-HighResolution SVE-Terrain Scatterer-config StockVisualEnhancements is not compatible with Spectra because it is another EnvironmentalVisualEnhancements setting/texture pack, same with SVE-HighResolution since its an add-on to StockVisualEnhancements. SVE-Terrain is not compatible with Spectra since it is another Kopernicus setting/texture pack. Scatterer-config is not compatible with Spectra because it is another Scatterer setting pack. Can you create a new instance and only install Spectra? None of the recommendations. - All of the aforementioned mods are trying to do the same thing that Spectra does. When you try to install them both the game is trying to put the textures from both Spectra and SVE onto the clouds and planets, the textures from both Spectra and SVT onto the terrain, and the settings from both Spectra and Scatterer-config onto the atmosphere. Kopernicus and EVE mods don't generally allow multiple packs of the same type to be installed at the same time unless otherwise noted like with Stock Visual Terrain and Stock Visual Enhancements.
  5. Odd... I get that on random occasion but not correlating with Spectra. Are you using all features of Spectra I.E. Scatterer, EnvironmentalVisualENhancements, and Kopernicus? Any addons too? Other mods?
  6. Sorry I can't be of more help I suggest trying to redownload it at a time you know your local traffic won't be that high. The file is pretty massive (399mb) so I totally get why you're having issues. I still have to re-download the KSP zip on occasion when it updates.
  7. You're right that should have any effect curious, that narrows it to pretty much either a bad dl or too big of a file. It'll be a few hours until I get home I'm afraid
  8. Strange. I'll re-download it tonight to check if it's on my end. How consistent is your download speed/Are you doing anything else online at the same time?
  9. These are beautiful! I'm also a stock part purist so I can really appreciate the effort that you've gone through to make these!
  10. You can just pull the folder from Gamdata and boot up like nothing changed. Spectra should work the same with the exception of no terrain textures
  11. Wow this is an incredible analysis and fix. I love how you presented it in an easy to follow way! I'm personally more fond of your collapsible category image. I love that you added headers that explain what each category is. That said I understand why you wanted to make it simpler. Congrats on thread of the month! I'll pass this along too
  12. Another thing to note, I found that a few of the new robotics parts have badly placed nodes... either that or they have badly placed textures but the nodes are fine. The small blue servo in particular is atrocious if you use it in symmetry, and the new R7000 turboshaft is not only misaligned in translation, but its twisted too. Here's a link to a moment on twitch to show it. Here's a second clip where I have the realization its the R7000 and not the other parts.
  13. Thank you space cowboy! Nice name, too. It should be comforting to know that I've done my absolute best to optimize this mod so once you're on your main rig you should be able to squeeze out a lot of frames
  14. Yeah! I'm not a huge fan of city lights myself, but you can add them custom from KSPRC without too much difficulty. Download the most recent KSPRC and copy the city lights folder from there to the Sam filepath in your Spectra install. Hm... Do you know if that's a built in function, or does it require mod makers to set it up?
  15. What OS are you using and are you using any arguments like dx11? I don't use GitHub but you are correct that I'm aware of this and looking for a solution. It's something to do with how KSPRC's textures/UV maps work, though reloading your game seems to fix it most of the time. It's dodgy, so it's difficult to figure out exactly what causes it.
  16. How many tons do you think you could make this guy lift? Also, opinions on the new propeller blades?
  17. Downloading right now, totally gonna go under the hood and see how you made this beast!
  18. Gotcha, I might need to try myself. Just using them as bearings would help a ton for action groups and blade angle. Could make it so that with an osprey type craft the blades auto-pitch as the engine rotates too. I have little to no experience with the action window but I might stream later and try to figure it out. I've been dying to rebuild some crafts with the new hinges Best of both worlds with getting ludicrous RPMS with exhaust, but hopefully retaining some strength/stability with hinges.
