  1. Yep! That's the config that Spectra uses to tell kopernicus what textures to apply and where. Delete that and install SVE and it should work right. Installing manually is always safer than CKAN when mixing and matching mods that do the same thing. Atleast in this case.
  2. Ah. That's the first thing you did wrong Try manually installing it. Just in case, you should delete the Spectra_Kopernicus config from GameData/Spectra/Configs too. I forget exactly what the config file is called but it'll be related to kopernicus. Huh... I might look into that then. Sadly though Spectra uses a much more blue config than SVE and so using the .raw files from there isn't going to work (it's also very unethical so I don't particularly want to ).
  3. Actually, I looked and SVE suffers the same problem. It's due to the .raw files that I import from the Scatterer config program. I wrote a bit more here. Can you give me a step-by-step on how you installed them just to be safe?
  4. Hm, do any of you have any skill with editing kerbal head textures, and would by chance be up to making a bandana bandit kerbal for a rather prestigious video?
  5. Stock skybox with Spectra's configs: Eve still is the only good looking planet and all the rest still have a bad fade and visible line farther out. The line is less visible when in front of another planet or the stock galaxy, but that's more the fact that it's blending with the brighter color. It's the same issue regardless of the skybox. The skybox definitely isn't the root of the problem though; must be something in the .raw files I'm outputting. Don't know what it is though. On a second note, do you know if this is an issue inside of SVE too?
  6. @skandervr/@blackrack I think I've pinned down some of what's been causing the abrupt orbital line in Spectra/Scatterer - All .raw files that I export from the config tool have an abrupt line at the edge of the atmosphere, and a second faded line some distance away. Default Scatterer configs in a Stock+Scatterer install: Custom Scatterer configs in Spectra: Strangely enough the only planet that actually looks good is Eve, which is using some custom .raw files that @Stratzenblitz75 sent me. For Kod knows why they're the only ones that don't have a dreadful line. I tried recreating them using the config tool, but everything I output has that line down the center and the bad fade. Curious if you might know a setting I don't that's causing this Blackrack? The only setting in my configs that does anything visible is changing the filepath to the .raw files used, I.E. making kerbin use Eve's files and vice versa.
  7. Hm, @N70 was the one who added it to CKAN - It's likely that it linked the wrong version of KSPRC - Proot changed the filepaths at one point and it causes a bit of confusion when installing the folder.
  8. Ah. You didn't install the surface textures. If you go back into the download and read through the steps you'll see you need to download KSPRC and copy the terrain folder from there into the KSPRC folder in Spectra. That's why it looks so bad.
  9. Just released a speedy update to increase the reflections on the cupola, all gold-foil surfaces (I.E. toroidal tank, and Mk2 can/Cupola bases), and also reaffirm that this works in 1.3.1
  10. Huh... :L if you aren't seeing it on other planets then it's possible it's tied to Kerbin's bad orbital fade. I'll look into it
  11. Yeah, it's caused by WindowShine but I'm not exactly sure why/what in WS is causing it. It hasn't been enough of an issue to warrant uninstalling WindowShine though imo, but it's been annoying for sure.
  12. That picture you linked was taken from the dayside of the Mun. The one you took was during the night. Does it look better in daylight? That's a glitch caused by WindowShine (TextureReplacerReplaced) and Scatterer I'm afraid
  13. Looks like you didn't install them. You need to download KSPRC from the link in the install zip, and follow the instructions to copy the terrain folder in KSPRC/KSPRC to GameData/KSPRC in your install.
  14. Ooohh.... I see that line now. Do you see it as a fixed point in the skybox or is it only visible near kerbin/other planets?
  15. Huh... I've never heard that mentioned here before so my guess is it's probably a mod conflicting. Can you post an image of your GameData folder?
  16. Thank you so much!! I really poured my heart into this mod with the critique and suggestions from a number of other community members like Stratzenblitz, CupcakeLanders, HatBat, and Million_Lights it became what you see today. It really makes my day to hear back from comments like you Thank you, and Merry Christmas! You mean the abrupt line at the end of Kerbin's atmosphere? That's a visual bug I'm aware of and am trying my best to pin down and fix. I've been too busy to make any improvements on it in recent past though, sorry Sad to say but I know exactly what causes this and I'm afraid I can't do much to fix it. It's caused by Scatterer and WindowShine interfering with each other. Removing one of those two removes the bug
  17. I've seen these before! It's a lovely mod and definitely deserves a set of reflectives, but I'm afraid I don't have the time for it myself sadly.
  18. XD ya got me omg... Looking at your hanger more and more, you've got some truly magnificent craft in there. I hope your above entry does well (I actually didn't notice at first sorry!)
  19. Just to emphasize how ridiculous that is, how about no EDIT: Those are some nice looking craft btw - I definitely suggest entering your favorite one or two.
  20. So that enthusiasts can stay entertained and learners can reiterate and improve their designs. It's a vicious cycle of constant innovation.
  21. That's what I thought... It's late 2016 a few months after the release of 1.2, and I just recently have gotten back into KSP after a hiatus due to school and a pinch of boredom. I had my run of The Division, and decided it was time to get back into Kerbal to relearn EnvironmentalVisualEnhancements and update my mods. I copied my old testing save and resumed where I had started off again: doing a touch up pass on each body starting from Moho and working my way outwards after I was satisfied with the appearance of each planet. After about a week of flying around and changing values I reached Eeloo. Here is where the story really starts. After hacking my test lander to low Eeloo orbit I look around a bit and noticed something... off... with my orbital line. It's gray, though it should be blue. I zoom out a bit and a ghostly command pod appears, sitting on the opposite side of Eeloo and orbiting at the exact same location in space as my current vessel. I had absolutely no memory of putting this pod here. I kid you not in saying that I went pale. It was Jeb. Sitting patiently, with a smile on his face, with a mission run time that was well over a thousand years. How this occurred: When I was just starting out in visual modding I had a system to view each planet's custom effects and test fps. I'd launch a mk1 command pod and edit it's orbit to various altitudes around the planet I was editing. No extra parts or parachute, just the pod so I could accurately see fps changes. This was way back before I started officially working on Spectra... Well, I had used the same save for every iteration of EnvironmentalVisualEnhancement mod I made and all I did each time was copy the quicksaves and persistent. I did a lot of time warp to see what the system looked like in motion and record it. A lot of time warp. I must have logged off at 3am one night and didn't revert my save or the game must have crashed or something, but either way I forgot to return Jeb before any of this had happened. So basically, in this teaser, this early showcase, and this release cinematic, as well as just about every other video or stream I've done involving visual pack editing, Jeb has been sitting patiently. Waiting for me to go back to Eeloo, and notice him.
  22. Does being stranded in a lone capsule in orbit around Eeloo and forgotten for ten thousand years count?
  23. Personally no - I've barely any time on my hands to even update WindowShine in the free time that I have That being said though if someone makes a version of WindowShine that uses Sigma Replacements, I'd be happy to link it in the top.
  24. No worries Malah, it's been an honor to serve with you See you in the country.
