  1. Quick question: Since the Spaceplane Plus mod's going to become stock in 0.25, is it allowed now for the purposes of this challenge?
  2. I'm looking forward to 0.25, if just for an excuse to revive working orbital bombardment systems.
  3. I've had two bad fails in the last 24 hours... The first was a failed landing attempt on Duna with my MT-20 VTOL Dropship (mainly due to certain chutes glitching up when I needed them). Needless to say, Jebediah was found buried in a thick dune nearby, and was then scolded thoroughly for not aborting the landing. The second fail happened today, when Neilbart Kerman was attempting to dock a refueled SSTO to a stardock complex in LKO. It was coming in nice and slow, when the throttle got stuck and the ship rammed the station full-speed. Neilbart wasn't allowed to use to controls anymore.
  4. I've been goofing around with the SP+ parts, and I finally made a crewed cargo SSTO... (Made it into orbit with over 300 oxidizer left, and lots of monopropellant. Not bad... ) I think I'm going to enjoy the 0.25/0.26 updates, if only due to these becoming stock. Also, since the OP doesn't specify what planet a craft has to be SSTO-capable on, here's a Duna SSTO VTOL Dropship, complete with front and rear bays.:
  5. As of right now, Bob's alive and well (I think he's onboard a colony ship about to launch), Bill's testing a pure-chemical VTOL dropship on Duna, and Jeb's off investigating the Kraken.
  6. Today I built an all-chemical VTOL dropship and took it to Duna... ..then I strapped BDArmory weapons to it... ...and then its pilot (Jeb) decided he was done flying on Duna, and promptly crashed the ship.
  7. Hmm... maybe I might have to break out this: Abeit with more missile mounts. However, the comments about the destructible buildings needing immense force to break really have no effect on my plans, as most i-beam+separatron-based missiles easily accelerate past 100m/s in seconds.
  8. Hey cupcake, you ever though about going all-rocket on your dropships? I have. Also, going all-chemical allows for extra cargo space, which that one (I call it the MT-20) has, in the form of a rear bay for a rover and a forward crew area.
  9. *Ride of the Valkyries starts playing* The MT-20 and its armed (with BDArmory weapons) "M" variant (which also has seats in the forward hold for paratroopers) are now up for DL. Info is in the MU submissions album on my post on page 2, and the craft files are in my DL folder.
  10. So... this is what I've been tinkering with recently: It's a pure chemical VTOL dropship, capable of SSTOing on Duna, and even flying about a bit on Kerbin and Laythe. I'll submit it once I give it a once-over with BDArmory, and make a small dune buggy to stick in the cargo bay. MOAR PICS:

  12. I've been pretty busy IRL... but I think I might have a pure rocket-powered cargo ship VTOL with a bay door that works coming... That, and a few other things... plus an idea I need to get around to talking to HatBat about.

  18. Oh well, might as well take the Mako and A.D.A. (my old SX-3 flagship from way back) out for a spin before 0.25 rolls out... Also, I've sort of realized that some of the new SP+ wing parts going in to stock will allow for much sleeker ships...
  19. I'm not too worried, as I might replace some old craft with new, better ones, and simply fix the broken ships I'd like to keep. It's about time for the MU to reboot its catalogue anyways, so this'll be for the best.
  20. This episode looked absolutely gorgeous. I'm really glad to have helped create the Albion and Helios (SX-8 Mako), and I look forward to further adventures!
  21. I'd watch it, but I wouldn't be able to join in for two reasons: 1. I don't own DayZ yet. 2. My PC's a potato, which needs attentive care to run any game that's highly RAM/graphics/CPU-intensive.
