A dropship.... a really big dropship. With a klaw and cargo hold.
-
Sadly, no. But if I have time, I'll see if I can convert it into an SSTO. As of now, it's purely jet-powered.

Spiritwolf/Hanland Submissions
ScriptKitt3h replied to Chozo Nomad's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Holy necropost batman! In any case, due to some very unfortunate circumstances, Zekes is gone. -
This should be ready soon... ...just need to fix an issue with the parachute abort sys., and then it's good to go.

[Showcase] Showoff Your Rep-Worthy Crafts
ScriptKitt3h replied to Redrobin's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
I've got a few cool sci-fi inspired starships (most of which are armed, but not always)... SX-8 Mako Stealth Caravel SX-7 Scoutship MU B.R.A.T. (Stock and BDArmory Versions) (Booster Resistant Armored Transport; the stock version seats 6 and the modded one seats 4) -
I'm considering spending an hour or two IRL just taking the Mako on a shakedown run out to Jool... but then again, I'm kinda lazy.

KIDI- Kerbal Interplanetary Defence Initiative
ScriptKitt3h replied to sodopro's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Hmm... I think I'd like to see KIDI brought back... The SX-8 Mako Stealth Caravel is available on my company thread. -
I have to say, some of your crafts are quite good-looking, especially the "Salvation Class MKV-B", as it is nice and compact.
-
Ahh yes, so many hours burned working on toa and the beasts they'd be fighting... I actually might buy one of the new kits, if just to see what they're like.
-
So, due to all the interest, I'll just put this here: (and on my company thread later, once I've made some more pics of it. ) ^(Ship's nano-tech medical chair, which also can be used to save the consciousness of a Kerbonaut as an AI, for loading into a flash-cloned body in case of death or crippling injury) ^(Crew Lounge) The SX-8 Mako-Class Caravel, or the Mako, is a fast, 3-man ship designed as a medium-to-light recon vessel. It's armed with 8 i-beam missiles, and has 2 1.25 meter cargo/torpedo mounts (normally fitted with two SRB shipkiller torps). Action Groups: 1-LVNs (twin) 2-Ions 3-Solar Arrays (hidden in the rear, meant to allow extended use of the ions) 4-Cabin Lights (for the internal crew area) // 7-Fire twin SRBs 8-Fire a 4-shot i-beam salvo To fly the ship (once in space), zoom inside the hull, locate the embedded probe core in the ship's center spine, right-click on it, and select "control from here". (I'd HyperEdit it into orbit, if only due to the fact that the wings in the hull plating doesn't play well with Kerbin's lower atmosphere.) DL: https://www.dropbox.com/s/9j535qnf821r3ti/MU%20SX-8%20Mako%20Stealth%20Caravel.craft?dl=0 Also, feel free to repaint it if you want HatBat, but please have an MU-painted one show up, even if it's a little easter egg.

Heheh... I know some of my ships tend to not carry immense amounts of fuel (I generally assume that I'll just have a tanker ship in formation if need be), but some of my craft (the Mako-class is one of these) have a decent amount of fuel to make the journey from LKO-to-LDO, and have ion engines for emergency backup/short-range burns, with lots of xenon and battery banks/solar arrays. - - - Updated - - - EDIT: Hang on, I'll just post it here, so that anyone can enjoy it.
-
Also, now that I've finished the minor refit for HatBat's ship for KS 19, I'm getting closer to releasing this: I call it the Mako-class Stealth Caravel, and it's meant as a sort of long-range scout frigate, but is different enough to warrant it's own ship classification.
-
Heheh, yep. The only thing I ever worry about is playing KSP MP whenever SQUAD comes out with it (or when DMP stops having docking/collision bugs), and running into some pirate/griefer smart enough to use our stuff... Then again, I'd probably be flying a warship of my own, and they'd be toast.
-
Don't worry guys, the ship'll be ready faster than you think. I've gotten good at what I do.
-
That's some fancy flying right there, man. Good maneuver, I'll have to try that next time I have a space battle and am low on fuel.
-
Update: The all-new MU BRAT and its BDArmory variant, the Type-M, have been added to the DL folder and album.
-
Actually, that really depends on your definition of "starfighter". I tend to define it as a one-to-two man starship, with light/medium armor and a decent propulsion package. Of course, the Corona's not a carrier-type fighter by any means, but it doesn't need to be. It has got ions for long-range travel, and isn't some uber-heavyweight ship. TL;DR: I like not having to skimp on things to make my fighters fit in a carrier, since carriers are (more often than not) fat 'ol targets for capital ships and other large fighters. Also, this is my "corvette": (It's a bit heavier than any of my fighters, and is my oldest working combat ship; its payload consists of twin 1.25 meter Shredder (guided shrapnel-filled) torps, with small i-beam missiles as backup.) EDIT: Also, you're gonna need to put your picture for that frigate up on imgur or another image hosting site, since we can't remotely access your hard disk. Congrats, dude! Keep up the great vids.

So... after watching a documentary on EOD infantry in Afghanistan (US Army/Marine Corp EOD to be exact), I've made a sort of Kerbal MRAP that I call the BRAT. (Second pic shows the cool 'ol digital wrap-around display that allows the thing to not need a windshield.) Expect a BDArmory version soon, most likely with a Vulcan and a small rocket system. (I also might make an AA Laser variant.)
-
You going to attempt to fight off my fleet at duna?
-
Did you get my PM (which I sent again the other day) about the carrier?
-
Yup, I am still working on a suggestion/idea, but I tried to send you the info on the new carrier yesterday evening. I'll just re-send with my suggestion.
-
HatBat, check your PM inbox.
-
I built a starship carrier for someone...
-
I'm still working on crafts (including a certain... unique one. You know what I mean, HatBat. ), but I'm willing to help with bits of the script for season 2 if need be, as writing is one of my strong suits.
-
Ok, cool. I've just been in a sort of random all-stock building spree, but I'll probably make a new atmospheric fighter using BDArmory now that I understand it pretty well. That, and a replica of this: (It'll be SSTO capable, somehow. )
