  1. Hmm, setting my alarm for the time the stream starts would only be fifteen minutes earlier than usual. I guess I should make it twenty so I can feed the animals and pour my coffee
  2. Oh man. This is going to be epic! Window opens At 5am pacific? There’s a chance the bird could be away before I have to go to work! Woohoo!!! But there will be boats violating the range; you can bet on it!
  3. Holy mother of hockey but there was some horrible animation in the last one. Grogu's animation has always been somewhat lacking, but this was awful. But I suppose with all the F/X they put in these shows some corners get cut. But really, really glaring bad. As for the storyline in The Book of Bo-Katan, well, like with anything that is basically fantasy, I really try not to think and just enjoy the spectacle. To me the most exciting thing was that they mentioned the T word.
  4. My wife has started making bread and cinnamon buns (and also making me fat(ter)) with her new stand mixer, and she quickly learned that the best weigh way to measure stuff (especially flour!) is to weigh it. There are some good websites out there for volume <-> weight conversions of every cooking/baking ingredient.
  5. I’m a little late to the spiral ham party, but dayum those are good. We also had one for Easter, along with a couple days of leftovers. The dog and cat were tangled in my feet every time the ham came out. The bone has been simmered down and the yellow peas are soaked; just need to make the pea soup now…
  6. Another company learning that recovering a second stage (generally from orbit) is stupidly hard.
  7. 102!?! Wow, laughter really is the best medicine! Loved his cartoons, including (but not limited to) Snappy Answers to Stupid Questions
  8. *Military cadence* “Falcon Heavy on the crawlerways! / Massive stuff getting launched in days!”
  9. Oh hey, @sevenperforce and @cubinator, welcome to the 10k club!
  10. I don’t see how a chargeless, essentially massless particle would be useful for power or propulsion. However, in the Nivenverse, they are used for “deep radar” scans, which can see through planets much like your neutrino radio concept.
  11. And here I thought they just wanted to minimize the hordes that will descend on the Boca Chica area, that it’s probably not equipped to handle.
  12. And that’s their problem right there, if they’re burning money to get to orbit, I bet the ISP of hundred-dollar bills is pretty lousy….
  13. Nice, I assume it means you and your team conducted yourselves well. Similarly: My kid’s hockey team won an achievement award, I think it was for not taking a ton of penalties over the season as well as not having to kick any badly behaving parents out of the stands. One other team even got kicked out of an out-of-town tournament because the parents were drunk and disorderly at at least one game!
  14. Vancouver DJ who interviewed Beatles and other rock 'n' roll giants dead at 86 Red Robinson began career in 1954, credited as 1st DJ to play rock 'n' roll on regular basis in Canada https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/red-robinson-vancouver-dj-obituary-1.6798921
  15. Oh wow, could it be finally time to light this candle? Time to make some more history, one way or another? This will be epic! *looks at the time stamp* Late March 31st, huh? Better not be an April Fool's joke...
