  1. I have no idea why buy my IVA/EVA is not working.I can't send a Kerbal on EVA because the windown on the bottom right is gone and even by pressing C nothing happens. As you can see there are 5 Kerbals on board but the windows on the bottom right are gone and C doesn't work. Mod list: Thanks for the help! Edit:Only the Orion Orbital Module has this problem.I have no idea why, since the capsule has an hatch.
  2. What is it? MOARdV's Avionics Systems (MAS) is a plugin and toolkit designed to provide an immersive IVA experience. It is based on experience developing and maintaining Mihara's RasterPropMonitor mod. For the player, MAS allows for a more immersive experience with better responsiveness. For the prop and IVA designer, MAS is much more capable than RPM, with support for Lua scripting that allows truly complex functionality. What isn't it? MAS is NOT a large collection of ready-to-play IVAs. There are a few retro stock IVAs included in the mod that will give players and IVA designers a taste of what MAS can do. MAS includes Module Manager patches to update the basic RPM props and IVAs from the RPM distribution to use MAS props. What's included for players? MAS includes the Mk1 (Mercury-like), a partial Mk1-3 command pod, and the Mk1 Lander Can as example IVAs. A Module Manager patch will update the example IVAs from the RPM distribution to use MAS, instead. What's not included? MAS dependencies are not bundled with MAS. CKAN? Available. However, please direct any CKAN issues to the CKAN team - I am not involved with maintaining the CKAN data. Download: GitHub releases. Do not use 'Clone or Download' from the code page, unless you intend to compile MAS yourself. What dependencies are required? All of the following are required, but not included: ASET Props (only the ASET Props models / textures are required. You do not need to install RPM to use MAS) ASET Avionics (only the ASET Avionics models / textures are required. You do not need to install RPM to use MAS) Module Manager Recommended Mod: Reviva to allow switching IVAs from within KSP. License? MAS source and DLL are released under the MIT license. MAS includes components with other licenses. Please refer to the License file for more details. MOAR IVA? If you would like to take a look at other IVAs that use MAS, here are a couple. The Rodan IVA includes MAS MFDs: The Flapjack cockpit from Kerbal Flying Saucers includes a MAS-powered glass cockpit: A Bluedog Design Bureau-compatible retro Apollo IVA (and a mostly functional glass cockpit CM): If there are other MAS IVAs that should be included here, please let me know. Documentation? The Mk1 IVA has an Operations Manual to help you find your way around the IVA. The MOARdVPlus Wiki has descriptions of the advanced instruments found in the command pod. Most of the MAS wiki contains info for people configuring props and designing IVAs for MAS. Source? GitHub For IVA Makers: There are already a few hundred props in the MAS catalog, along with several mostly complete MFD designs. What I don't have yet, unfortunately, is good documentation to help you figure out which props are which. Most of the props have names that suggest what they do, but the details are lacking. I plan on documenting the props eventually. There are also quite a few props that have not been imported from RPM - again, I'll get to it eventually. For Prop Makers: Most of the GitHub documentation is information about the features of MAS. There's a lot there, and the props that ship with MAS may help you figure out how to use it. Prop makers who have passing familiarity with Lua will find that MAS is extremely powerful and flexible. If the online documentation is unclear, contact me, and I'll be happy to help you figure it out (and improve the documentation).
  3. 0.3PRE released 12/13/2018! A year ago, when @Sam Hall updated his fantastic Kerbonov mod for 1.2.x, I knew I had to make a 1940s-style RPM IVA. I always loved the KN-2, and I based my cockpit layout heavily on pictures of DC-3 and C-47 cockpits, both from the 1940s and some modernized ones. I decided to kitbash autopilot props, as the DC-3 did historically have a gyroscopic autopilot. Thus began my IVA craze. More Pictures: Airplane Plus MK1 Supersonic cockpit (X-1): Airplane Plus Mk1 Viewer's Cockpit (Bell 204 / Huey): SXT Clyde (insp by Twin Otter / Aero Commander 500): SXT Bonny (insp by Piper Cub) Kerbonov KN-2 Vintage Cockpit (insp by DC-3, An-2): Mk1 Inline Warbird Cockpit (insp by P-51): All the autopilot props are modified versions of ASET props, and require the Pilot Assistant mod to work. The "Vintage" version of the KN-2 does not replace the standard KN-2, but adds a new cockpit using the same model earlier in the tech tree. I plan to make an "Updated" version. For the bomber controls, you need Firespitter's props folder found here, as well as the most recent firespitter.dll, and for the fire extinguisher (nonfunctional), you need Airplane Plus. All other instruments are included or require the ASET Props and Avionics Packs. Obviously you will need the Kerbonov itself, and Raster Prop Monitor as well. IMPORTANT NOTE: I play way too much FSX, so these cockpits are meant to be slightly more realistic than most KSP cockpits. The instruments WILL NOT WORK if you do not connect your battery and have electric charge on your vehicle, and various instruments have a chance to give screwy results if you don't turn on the pitot heat. Changelog: SPACEDOCK DOWNLOAD If you prefer SI units for your instruments, rename warbirdSI.txt in GameData/Galen/WarbirdCockpits to WarbirdSI.cfg THIS is a patch to apply the Mk1Pod Retro IVA I made to the Mk1Pod_v2 introduced with KSP 1.6. Requirements: modulemanager by Sarbian Raster Prop Monitor by Mihara and MOARdV ASET Props and Avionics by alexustas Recommended: Kerbonov by Sam Hall. Required for Vintage KN-2. Firespitter (dll and Props folder) by Snjo and RoverDude. Required for Vintage controls in KN-2 cockpit. Airplane Plus by blackheart612 Near Future Props by Nertea. Adds additional decorative props to Mk2 Inline cockpit and crew cabins. Tiktaalik Dreaming Props by TiktaalikDreaming. Adds additional decorative props to Mk2 Inline cockpit and crew cabins. KAX by keptin and SpannerMonkey SXT Continued by Lack and linuxgurugamer. Speed Unit Changer by Ittito. The readouts on the gauges are in Imperial units (feet and mph rather than meters and m/s), and Speed Unit Changer can make the UI readouts in the same units as well. Contains assets from, and derived from, @alexustas's excellent ASET Avionics and ASET Props assets (CC BY-NC-SA 3.0), as well as a couple from @Mallikas's Aviation Cockpits mods (CC BY 4.0). 4. I'm fairly sure its ok to post this as it seems to be free with an option to fund (seems to fit the forum guidelines!)... I've just stumbled on this little gem and I'm blown away that it's apparently made by just one guy! Has anyone tried it? It looks like it's still in alpha but already looks great and even has support for VR headsets (like I dream about for KSP ). Anyway, free download links here for PC and Mac - https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/go-for-launch-mercury-vr-educational#/ You can just ignore all the bits about crowdfunding (although I think I'll drop some money to support the effort!). It doesn't really seem to tread on KSP's toes as it's a different kind of game, a bit more like Orbiter crossed with A-OK (anyone ever play that?).
  5. First time posting on the forums, so please let me know if I've something wrong. I am working on a concept for a mod, and I wanted to know if it's possible for IVAs to extend outside of the model of a part. One of the main parts of my mod is a habitat based on a real life Mars colony concept, and the real life building is inset into the ground. I know parts themselves can't go under the surface, or they'll explode, but is it possible to have a short habitat sitting one the surface with an IVA that extends below the bottom of the part to simulate the habitat being partially buried? Would this show up? Would it show up through the ground? Thank you for any assistance that you can provide!
  6. Demo video of less glitchy first person walking: Floating (EVA) mode free controls demo video: This mod allows you to control EVA from the perspective of a kerbal. To enter first person mode, press the 'c' key. Additionally, you can disallow external view of both kerbals and regular vessels in the config file. Requirements: None. Download/Source: https://github.com/Virindi-AC/Through-The-Eyes/releases Changelog: 2.0.0.2 -Update for KSP 1.3. 2.0.0.1 -Oops, found a problem with switching kerbals 5 minutes after releasing. Fixed this. 2.0.0.0 -A ton of work on making walking, running and swimming more smooth. -Reset kerbal's view using the 'v' key when in FP mode. -Free rotation and translation added to floating EVA mode. Controls match those used for a vessel. Defaults: ad=yaw, qe=roll, ws=pitch, jl=translate left/right, ik=translate up/down, hn=translate forward/back. A stabilization-mode sas is available. -"Fine controls" for RCS packs is by throttle controls while in FP mode. The more throttle, the more pack power. More or less fuel is used as appropriate. -Some fixes to stock glitchy behavior for walking kerbals in low-g; prevent getting stuck trying to land on a steep slope, allow the player to break out of a running bound (especially useful for Gilly and Pol). These fixes apply both in first and third person mode. -Display the name of the kerbal when switching inside IVA. -Navball now functions normally in FP mode, referenced to the kerbal. License: GNU GPL v3 This mod is a continuation of the work of: @Chronothan, @Ser.
  7. Since the most recent maintainers seem to have decided not to continue this mod, I have gone ahead and updated it. This mod adds a "Mission Control" IVA to unkerballed vessels. -Supports either standard RasterPropMonitor MFDs or the ASET versions. -Configuration option to force control room only for probe vessels (no external view). Requirements: -Module Manager -RasterPropMonitor -[Optional] ASET Props -***NOTE*** If you are using ScanSat, you currently need the dev version of ScanSat to avoid a problem with RPM displays going unresponsive. ***NOTE*** Download/Source: https://github.com/Virindi-AC/KSP-ProbeControlRoom/releases Changelog: 1.2.2.6 -Fix broken sun effects in normal IVAs after going into PCRIVA -Disable vessel labels while in PCRIVA -Disable part highlighters while in PCRIVA -Change enter room hotkey to be like a normal keybinding -Make the room lights brighter -Improve preservation of camera when restarting PCRIVA in a new room -Fix a bunch of exceptions caused by interactions with the DeepFreeze mod 1.2.2.5 -Fix a large number of cases where you can end up stuck inside a probe core looking out at the world rather than in the control room. -Fix problems on decoupling parts from the ship, and persist the camera when this happens. -Fix interaction with stock IVA. Previously, sometimes an invisible control room would exist while you were inside a stock IVA. This would block some button clicks in the IVA. License: CC-BY-NC-SA-3.0 This mod is a continuation of the work of: @Tabakhase, @icedown, @Albert VDS, @MeCripp, @Nils277, @JPLRepo, @Dexter9313, @Z-Key Aerospace, @jlcarneiro.
  8. Hello fellow Kerbonauts! I'd like to share with you my Baxter P5. A great plane to be controlled entirely from the cockpit! It weighs around 70 tons on the runway. It's based on the boeing 747 jumbojet as you can see. the second plane is the Baxter X5. The same as the Baxter P5 but without the cargo capacity. It has more manoeuvrability due to the large control surface area. Kreetz, Ferdoni
  9. Hi everyone, this is my first post here. I startet playing KSP (v1.2.2 x64) again after some time, installing some of my favorite mods and I ran into a small issue regarding mechjeb 2.6.0. When I right-click or press the mouse-look toggle key in IVA with the mechjeb device attaced to my vessel, the mouse cursor doesn't go away entirely. Instead, it centers itself in the middle of the screen and flickers. It happens only with mechjeb attached while in IVA. Is this a known issue or am I the only one? Wasn't able to find anything on Google.
  10. Hey everyone, I have a question for you genius modders out there. I have multiple monitors, and would like to have 3 monitors for the 3 basic KSP views. One monitor would be the normal external view. The other would be the map view, and the 3rd would be the internal or IVA view. Would it be possible to mod KSP in a way that allows me to see all these views in different windows simultaneously?

  13. Ok. So here is my plan, I want to do some good high quality IVA models with raster prop monitor. the thing is I don't know how, so that's pretty much why I am here for the community's help. I have a little knowledge of unity, C#, HTM,L, C++ (I know pretty well), and that is it. but just basic stuff like I may a watched a few YouTube videos on unity and c#.

  16. I have a Problem with my IVA Camera, as you can see the normal camera in IVA must look like this: But mine camera is looking like this : I Already tried everything, adjust the FOG, reistall the game, in the screen shots i used mods but this bug still occur in KSP Stock, my current version is 1.2.2 and this bug appeared only after 1.1 Help-me guys it may seem not a big problem but i play a lot in IVA and this occur in every cockpit, the camera looks like is stupid high in some and this is freaking me out i can't even see the flight instruments in some. Sorry for my poor English :v
  17. I got this problem in cockpit from AOA tech mod. Can anyone help me ?
  18. As an player with experience. (well I've recently started in the forum) this idea looks like it would ve nice to do in future updates. IVA looks awesome, you can move the throttle and had the experience as the Kerbal is there. But my idea is to move in the interior of the spaceship, for example. Imaginate a MK1-2 attached to a PPD-10 crew cabin and instead of simply transfer with the right click move the Kerbal in the interior opening the connection between the Xapsule and the crew cabin and then transfer it. Also interact items or with the Kerbal in Zero-G in the interior of the spaceship, so. SQUAD. Did you like that idea? Or someone of the development? Put it below in the comments . Thanks.
  19. This is a mod that revives and kitbashes Hyomoto's excellent though held together by die hard fans and duct tape MFD mod. MFD Revived is a rework of RPM to make it more usable. It has organised functions in the three main things you do. Launch, Orbital manoeuvres, Rendezvous, Landing. Images: Reason I'm doing this: It was such shame that Hyomoto's MFD was left more or less on the wayside and forgotten by most, making it difficult for new folks to enjoy it. Mods like this shouldn't be forgotten. It's my dream to package all of these mods together in one zip instead of having you download multiple files. but alas this is how it has to be unless I get permission to make a package. I hope my effort here will at least make it a little easier. My long term goal is to improve the UI and create more functional menus that make use of all of untapped functions in RPM's API. Recommended Mods: Vessel View (see a 3D wireframe of your vessel from in the cockpit and activate parts without needing to bind them to an action group) MechJeb (SAS controls) Navyfish's Docking Port Alignment Indicator (Docking) Kujuman's NavUtilities (aircraft runway landing guide) Engine Igniter (I haven't tried this but I've heard it still works) ScanSat (View scanSat data) AN IMPORTANT NOTE: If the mod comes with a module manager patch that patches RasterPropMonitor, delete it. They were made for Stock RPM's layout, not for MFD. Installation guide: Download file: Github Notes: This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License and a GNU General Public License Version 3, 29 June 2007
  20. This mod has a bug where the speed, altitude and other things are displayed as hex code instead of being green colored text on the hud. Please show me a way to fix this Mod Link: http://spacedock.info/mod/377/Mk1 Cockpit RPM Internals/
  21. Does anyone know why there is an area around pods/cockpits where you can see through parts? I've been searching on the forums and google for any mention of this, but I haven't seen any. Is this a limitation, or an oversight/bug, and does anyone know why this happens? You can see this in the Osprey stock vessel very easily. This has always been something that has bothered me before, but more so now because I am starting to do more missions from IVA.
  22. So, with every capsule in the game what i have installed or stock, there is no iva thing in the lower right corner, does anyone know how to fix this?
  23. Hello, i was wondering if anyone knows how to add props in the IVA's, Particularly the Mk3 Shuttle IVA, I wanted to add an RPM HUD To it but have no clue how to add it in, i have the IVA Model and everything but have no clue how to run it through unity and make it work.
  24. I like to build and fly planes from the SPH. I try to challenge myself by flying in IVA mode sometimes. When I do this, I zoom out to see the entire cockpit, view, etc. When I do this though, part of the kerbal's head gets in the way of the camera. I have come up with a solution: Remove the head. (Only for the kerbal that is being 'used,' of course). This would clean up the view making the craft easier to control. I learned this after taking a closer look at the game Halo: Combat Evolved. In it, where you are in the cryo tube, the head got in the camera's way, so the devs removed it for that bit of game. Again, I think a similar solution would make IVA easier to use. Good luck, devs! ;-)
  25. I've been playing the same KSP save for a while and while I was building a station, I noticed the crew I ferried to the station weren't in the bottom right corner. I can't toggle the view with the "c" key to IVA, and the crew portrait is completely missing on every craft. I clicked the hatch and selected the crew to EVA, where they are registered, and when Jeb rolled out, he was fine. However, when he tried to get back in, the hatch registered that he was in but created a duplicate texture of Jeb still on the ladder. I tried to EVA Jeb again, but it said there was something obstructing the hatch. I tried switching to the Phantom Jeb, but the vessel switcher claimed there was nothing there. So, I can't view the IVA or EVA because it locks the hatches. Can someone help me fix this issue?
