Endersmens
Break stuff? What kind of stuff? Its easier than you think to break things in admin control panel. (I'm an admin on another forum)Like yesterday, while trying to get the forum to auto-prune spambots, I nearly kicked the founder of the project off the forum. Yeah, as admin of the War of Insanity forum I can also attest to the "easier than it looks" fact."What's this button do?" Breaks forum headerNote to self, study HTML before you go and mess with it. Starwhip
Make a PNG with transparency?Or does that not work? Not for me, no, it just defaults to a white background.Right now I think the background is probably #f4f4f4 (The sidebar, the text window is #fafafa)

WinkAllKerb''
Yop, this bug me since a few week: ability to re-rate a thread (you own previous rating replacement) ... was thinking about that for a few thread i rated lately just to modify my own vote by one usually after thinking / brainstorming : rethought about the things / reading what's everyone say. TheMoonRover
Have there been any incidents where a moderator or admin has accidentally broken the forum or messed something up in a massive way? As an example of the sort of thing I mean, a wikipedia moderator once deleted the main page after another moderator jokingly told him it was impossible - he didn't realise it was a joke. Red Iron Crown
Ask Red Iron Crown.? I have not broken the forum to my knowledge since becoming a moderator. I've had some minor snafus, like accidentally moving things to the wrong place and such, but nothing that broke anything.Do moderators sometimes disagree about the closing of a thread? How often does this occur?Rarely. Since becoming a mod last January I can only recall one time where a thread was locked and then later reopened (no specifics on this one, sorry). Just to demonstrate the silliness of allowing html in messages. This resulted in a hasty patch by someone else to block all <div> tags. Because along with all kinds of other bbcode elements get converted into a <div> in vbulletin, this... broke the forums. Quite badly, for about five minutes until the mistake was realised. And let's not get into the Great Purge of 2013.
