Mentioned? Well, I showed you as much as I thought appropriate in light of 2.2(c), you'll have to connect the rest of the dots yourself. But you missed the obvious solution: Gene's koffee mug is made out of surplus helmet material.

Also I think the Intrepid, shoukd have a hull made out of it. Edited May 26, 2016 by KerbalOmmex

That's some ingenuity worthy of Kerbulan leader Funny you should say that, @Alchemist... I know it's not an exact V-2 replica but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out! There's a probe core and batteries in the "warhead". Wernher's W-2 can SSTO, which means he can (and did) drop its payload all over Kerbulus. Eek! And for those who don't recognize them, the M4 Sherman and F2A Brewster Buffalo images in the Alliance base picture are from the excellent replicas by @RixKillian! The thread for all his highly detailed stock WWII craft is here. And that's all I'll have time for before the long weekend. Cheers all, and we'll continue the Zwischenspiel next week! A particularly daring minion offered up the current, more portable version as a gift - and was later quietly disposed of as an unusually intelligent and potentially dangerous rival. To this day nobody has dared to comment on the highly polished, slightly off-white lining of the Mug...
Starhawk
It may not be an exact replica, but it sure looks close to my inexperienced eye. I'm very much enjoying seeing Wernher's story unfold. Dman979
Awesome work! And it's good to see @RixKillian get some more acknowledgement. He makes some of the best replicas here, IMO. One tiny thing, though- the M4 Kerman isn't entirely black and white. The helmets are, how you say, rot und weis?
