Wine for me. I love beer but I can only have one or two (issues with hops. Mildly allergic I think) and good cognac is bloody expensive.

last time i had beer i had heartburn so bad, and i only had four. wine can be deceptively potent and is good if you have problems drinking other things, but i dont think im that far gone. i also drink with extreme moderation these days.

Same here on the moderation. I go thru a 6-er of beer about once a year. Wine is so far one bottle a year.

I had taco meat, cilantro-lime rice, and "asado sauce" (which by direct translation is is "roast" sauce but specifically it's a copycat recipe for Chipotle^_TMs Asado Sauce) leftover from a couple meals, so made myself a bowl of the 3 mixed together (with nacho cheese on top) and man was it good.

Nothing hodgepodge leftovers quite like Tex Mex.

i got a bird in the oven. i put surfin' burd (sodom version of course) in the christmas playlist, should come up around the time its supposed to come out, i want to see if anyone notices. unfortunately since its just me, mom and the cats, nobody will notice.

Ahh yes I forgot about that. Our Thanksgiving is in mid October so we get a little bit more than two months of no Turkey days.

We do rib roast for Christmas every year, standing tradition. This year it was a four-bone standing rib roast, Yorkshire pudding, scallops, fondant potatoes, and balsamic-glazed Brussels sprouts. It was pretty outstanding, and then the leftover roast became French dip sandwiches the next night, which was also outstanding.

This week, after we got back from California, I discovered that Fry's had rib roasts on clearance for $7 a pound, no limit. Must...resist...urge...to...overspend....
