Please tell me that I'm not the only one who thinks he's the only sane person in the classroom as soon as the teacher leaves for whatever reason.

Reassure me. Please.

Sorry, can't do that. The truth is the others think you're the only insane person in the class. And since you're the only one not conforming to the socially accepted (insane) behavior, their view isn't totally unjustified :D

The first 2 crashes happened during a scene change (that’s where memory loss problems happen a lot in KSP). The third one happened when I was within physics range of only one part (Jeb). The only other program running was GOG Galaxy (it’s a little like Steam but to manage GOG games). No idea what’s happening TBH.

Right click on Kerbal Space Program in your Steam Library
Select Properties
Click the Local Files tab
Click "Verify Integrity of Game Files"

A while back, I had a hard crash that happened whenever I was in physics range of any desert biome. Turns out, I had a corrupted file, and that fixed it.

If you went to the likes of Home Depot or Lowes, you could get a cut to size Lexan sheet for about $30 (standard window size, like 48x36 or 48x48). Unless it's a vinyl or aluminum frame, the only thing else you'll need is caulk and a caulking knife.

Wait... You're telling me I should spend my own money and perform manual labor in place of whining to my landlord to do it? Have you been spaghetti dancin' with the Kraken! :0.0::confused:

I hate the Nimby (Not in my backyard) Syndrome.

There are people trying to stop a gaint windmill park several kilometers away from the coast. What is their reason? "It looks ugly". Im being serious right now, thats what they actually say. They try to stop a project that is going to make our country less reliant on fossil fuels because it look ugwy? Thats stupid and pathetic, oh, and not just that, the people who say these things probably haven't seen an offshore windmill park before. Offshore windmill parks only occupy the horizon, and don't gobble up the entire view. In don't get how such big human achievements in technology are 'ugly' neither. Its amazing that people with little hands worked thousands of years to learn about the forces of nature and found out how to gather energy from the wind, isn't it?

Another reason i hate Nimby is because people didn't like the looks of the air conditioning system on the top of our school, so they had it removed, and now, whenever its hot, the school turns into a giant oven.

It's not even true!  Wind farms look awesome.  I drive by several of them when I visit home.

Know what is ugly?  Smog.  But if they can't see it...

Well wait a minute now... the screwball environmentalists around here want windmills - but don't want windmills, because they kill birds.

Then again, this is the same screwball group who don't want to fire up the 'clean' nuke plant again because of (OMG!) radioactive waste and resulting warming of the bay waters (which actually brought more life to the previously chemically polluted bay), but they'd prefer a 'clean' smoke belching coal fired power plant to recharge their electric cars.

Exactly! These things look wonderfull! Whenever i see windmill farms, and other man-made buildings, i gaze at them with awe. I love science and engineering, it is was makes humans human.

I know, right. Some people just have no idea what they are talking about. I dislike it when people screech about topics they don't know anything about. They tend to exaggerate the problems and almost completely ignore the benefits of the things they are against. The misunderstanding of these topics almost always results in a "We want this thing, but we don't want it at the same time" situation.

One of these people i get annoyed by the most are the people who believe we will go extinct within the next 100 years but also think that spaceflight is a waste of money and we should fix all the problems here on Earth first. Its such a dumb and unclear statement, especially the spaceflight is a waste of money and we should fix the problems here on Earth first statement. People really tend to think that space travel is just some weird sideshow but it isn't, has become pretty important the last few decades. Earth's problems can't be fixed by throwing spaceflight money at it, or be fixed at all. Let me ask them, what is more important, spending €200 million on a movie, or spending €200 million on a space mission could potentially discover many new Earth-like planets that might have life?

So you know how I said that KSP crashed no less than 3 times a couple of days ago?

Today I booted the game up again......and after trying again twice I conclude that my HP Stream no longer likes KSP.

By that I mean the game will no longer load. It gets to the end of the loading bar, then 'KSPx64.exe is not responding', then Unity crash error message.

If KSP won't run on my computer anymore then I will look like this----> ;.;;.;

Sounds a bit extreme, but have you tried reinstalling your copy of KSP?

I should probably do that but I won't until I figure out which files I need to save in order to keep all of my KSP stuff safe.

The most recent mod I have installed is Take Command, which is tiny. The two biggest mods I have are Cormorant Aeronology and KIS, but they've both been working fine for ages. At this point I think it's probably my computer itself---- it has too little storage and RAM to satisfactorily run KSP.

Make a separate clean install of KSP.  Make sure it will start/run.  Then start copying files from the old install to the new one, but only do it a little bit at a time, checking to make sure it will start and run after each copy.  Eventually, you'll get back to a working copy, or figure out what causes it to break.

Unfortunately, it can be a time-consuming process.

I will try this, but currently I don't think my laptop even has enough space on the HD to make another install of KSP.

Remove Take Command temporarily. Does that fix the problem?

Let me try........

EDIT: For some reason, that worked :D Thanks guys!

EDIT 2: Then the game crashed.

Glad that it helped!

As for RAM: I assume you have Windows? I ask because I don't know if there's something similar on Mac (probably), but the task manager gives a RAM usage readout. You can see how much available RAM you still have.

If you have enough then my only logical conclusion is that Take Command doesn't like some other mod you have installed.

But I think @linuxgurugamer could answer that one best.

I have 4gb, as far as I know. I am on Windows.

Two things:

First, Take Command currently isn't working well, but it won't cause KSP to crash

Second, 4 gig is rather small, especially if you have those other large mids installed.  It's possible you have other programs which recently started to use more memory, also possible a Windows  Update got installed and is using more memory.

You can thank the most recent Windows 10 update...

Guys, when I say "Just a quick reminder to stay away from politics on the forums. I've hidden some posts," I mean it. There were more politics in this thread, and now there are more hidden posts.

Knock it off.
