The terrain here is horrible, but we managed to get passed the dunes and are almost ariving at the bridge.

I just heared an explosion but the buggy is fine, so I pressed F-3 to find out Checkpoint 5 has exploded.

The new buggy is definitely fasta.  What do you think made the difference?

The camouflage, of course. Drag is reduced if the air molecules can't see you, right? :P

Yep,it's empty (it can hold 7.5 monoprop).

We crossed the bridge safely.

TBC Would you put rally style aerodynamic fins/winglets to add a little downforce at the cost of your top speed? Maybe be able to toggle deploy to flatten out when you want a top speed? Just a thought, condolences for the 3rd kerbal.

Also, I think you should name the next buggy Bob Johnson for good luck.

If it were not too much trouble I’d like to see the most kerbal way possible. Multistage rocket on a ballistic trajectory to land at last checkpoint.

I was going to say aren't you tempting Fate when I see that Fate intervened before you even got to Jeb's buggy.

Damn.

Watched the video.  I think you really need to soften the suspension on the buggies.  Small undulations in the ground are having them bounce up significantly.  I think that is what's leading to the crashes.  Down-force fins and spoilers would help too.

I'm going to fly in a new buggy to checkpoint 7, can't restart forever.

I don't mind crashing the buggy, I love doing the rescue missions. &)

But what I don't like is that I allready have killed 3 Kerbals, I wanted 1 Kerbal to do the whole distance, for realism.
