UomoCapra
Hi Kerbonauts! It’s been a while, but we think it’s time for a new KSP challenge! Given how creative this community is, we’re confident the results will be amazing. The KSP community has always played a crucial role in the development of the Kerbal Universe, and with the KSP franchise growing, there is an important mission you Kerbonauts can help us with. It’s about time to update the game’s loading screens and we came to the conclusion that we should let you, the community, submit your illustrations, screenshots, pictures and/or any form of fanart you’d like to see in KSP’s loading screens! A set of finalists will be included in Update 1.8. Cool right? This is your chance to leave your mark on the original KSP and contribute with some amazing loading screen artwork to reflect what the game and our community has grown to! We are incredibly excited to see what you come up with! Requirements: Needs to be KSP inspired. Submissions need to be self-made References to other games or IPs are not allowed All submissions must have a frame aspect ratio of 16:9 Resolution: For screenshots - a minimum of 1920x1080, the higher the better. Illustrations and pictures should be sized at a minimum of 1920x1080. Rules (please see Official Rules below for further details): Create KSP fan art for the KSP loading screen. You are welcome to include mods in your artwork. We ask that you refrain from including text on the artwork being submitted, the exception being a discrete artist signature. Save that graphic as a .jpg or .png file with a minimum resolution of 1920x1080 Upload that image as a reply in this forum post and specify if we are able to share your Forum name if your artwork is selected. Submission Deadline: Oct 2nd by 11:59pm EST. You have until October 2nd to submit your loading screens to this thread. No right, title, or interest in and to the IP except for the limited license granted to entrant in these Official Rules is transferred or created. Each entrant further acknowledges and agrees that IP rights are valid and enforceable, and that entrant shall do nothing to challenge the validity or enforceability of IP in any forum. Entrants agree that the use of IP is permitted only for the purpose of making a Submission for entry in this Contest, and that any use of IP (whether in the Submission or otherwise) beyond this scope infringes the rights of Sponsor and will result in irreparable harm to Sponsor. 7. Independently Developed Submissions. Each entrant understands and agrees that Sponsor’s use in matters independently developed of material similar to or identical with the Submission or containing features or elements similar to or identical with those contained in the Submission will not obligate Sponsor to negotiate with entrant, nor will it entitle entrant to any compensation of any kind. Each entrant agrees and acknowledges that nothing herein shall preclude Sponsor from using any material in or similar to the Submission without obligation to entrant, including, but not limited to, if Sponsor has or has determined that it has an independent legal right to use such other material, including without limitation, because such features or elements were not new or novel, or were not originated by entrant, or were or may hereafter be independently created by or submitted to Sponsor. 8. Judging Panel. On or about October 2, 2019, Sponsor or its designated judges, as determined by Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion, shall review all eligible Submissions. Sponsor will select the finalists. The judging panel will judge the Submissions based on the following equally weighted judging criteria (“Judging Panel Criteria”): (a) Originality, (b) Creativity, and (c) Artistic Ability. HOWEVER, SPONSOR WILL HAVE THE RIGHT, BUT NOT THE OBLIGATION, AS DETERMINED BY IT IN ITS SOLE AND ABSOLUTE DISCRETION, TO USE THE WINNING SUBMISSION. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, extend or suspend this Contest should (in its sole discretion) virus, bugs, non-authorized human intervention, fraud or other causes beyond its control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or proper conduct of the Contest. In such case, Sponsor may select the winners from all eligible entries received prior to and/or after (if appropriate) the action taken by Sponsor. Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds, in its sole discretion, to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or web site. Sponsor may prohibit an entrant from participating in the Contest or winning a prize if, in its sole discretion, it determines that said entrant is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest by cheating, hacking, deception, or other unfair playing practices (including the use of automated quick entry programs) or intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other entrants or Sponsor representatives. Noname115
I'm all for this, there's some borderline art pieces that people are sharing here. My only issue is that if a loading screen pic showcases one or more mods, then those who are new to the game and loading in for the first time might get the wrong idea. They'll see all of these amazing parts and graphics and wonder where it all went once they create a new save.

Whirligig Girl
Given the excessive number of mods being used here, I might as well... I'm not being serious, I'm trying to point out how silly it is to use severely non-stock images to represent the stock game. That said, the second post above this one with the broken rocket parts and the long exposure of Kerbin orbit looks AMAZING.
