A possible workaround is to switch to the tracking station as soon as you have completed the departure burn and time warp from there until you are well within your destination system's soi

This should work (at least it has for a few times in my game) but no warranty.

Hey all, there have been some new optimizations in KSPCommunityFixes and Kopernicus specifically focused on universes with lots of bodies and vessels.  Note the CommNetThrottling feature in KSPCommunityFixes is disabled by default, but you can enable it in the settings.cfg or with a MM patch.

With these fixes, I'm finally able to have a steady green clock on the launchpad with all the optional GU planets installed:

Hello,

i have a strange problem with this mod. After installing and starting to play, it first works on looks normal, like this:

But after a few missions and coming back to the ksc a few times, the planets start looking like being dipped in milk:

- Restarting the game doesnt help
- Clearing the /ScattererAtmosphereCache folder doesnt help
- Doing a complete fresh clean install doesnt help, the bug comes back atfer a few missions
- I tried both manual installation and ckan installtion, same thing happens
- Happens with kerbal as home system and when using home switch to AC or EE
- The other planets in the kerbal system still look normal even after it happens
- It seems to be the same bug as the user 'Blalo' experienced on page 48 of this thread, my planets look exactly like that when bugged

This is sooooo frustrating, i love the mod and after a while it always gets taken away :(

This is Load on Demand acting weird. I have so far not found a solution for it other than doing a scene switch (changing to tracking station and back).

Hi,

changing scenes didn't work for me, but damn, Load on Demand was the important tip! I had only looked at scatterer :) 

After looking at Load on Demand in GU and comparing with the GPP files i was able to trace this bug down to the ScaledVersion OnDemand calls. After changing all of them to normal material entries, i.e.

OnDemand
            {
                texture = GU/_Systems/_AlphaCentauri/_PluginData/Blalo_Color2.png
                        normals = GU/_Systems/_AlphaCentauri/_PluginData/Blalo_Normal.png
            }
            Material
            {
                ...
            }

to


            Material
            {

everything started working flawlessly. I've been playing with AC and EE for a few hours now without problems and i cant really notice any performance impact either, so if anyone else has this problem, try changing the celestial configs, resolved it for me with only a few minutes of typing

Now excuse me i have to go on an odyssey :D

Yeah, but only for the scaled versions, I left the global useOnDemand at the head of each celestial enabled.

I mean i'm not saying this is a good idea in general, but for me it's either that or being unable to play, and i still cant notice any performance hit with all of GU loaded except for worlds of fire. So for people with this bug, it's a solution until a better one comes along

So I usually call customer support to fix that but I have a simple workaround to save you some time . 

Start by unplugging the appliance and make sure that no electricity is flowing into it, id hate for you to get electrocuted lol

Then take your tape off all of the openings to seal it and drop it into a bucket of mineral oil. A 5 gallon Home Depot bucket is best. Close the bucket and violently shake for exactly 26.45 seconds. Any longer and it will combust and any shorter the process will fail. 

After I’d normally proceed with a couple cold ones to relax but that’s up to you

repeat step 2 again

get a Bluetooth speaker and listen to Beethoven’s 9th in D  minor. Make sure it’s a Bluetooth speaker so you penetrate the appliance in Blue waves. But make sure you don’t come close to the speaker or it will fry you. 

After all of this your system should be working great

@StarCrusher96It would be great if you could make a list of all the planets with a description and characteristics like the galaxies unbound wiki on fandom but that seems to be very incomplete with lots of content just shown as 'TBA'.

there was once a link to a imger page with the planets from each pack system shown in a map
