How come no one has thought of this already

Welcome to this newest Forum Game! The rules:

1. Follow the forum rules, of course.

2. Every person must write a bit of story the events of which are directly caused by the events of the previous bit of story.

3. If someone breaks the previous rule by writing something completely irrelevant to the previous comment, how we shall deal with it is to completely disregard the comment that violates the rule and every comment after it and reply to the one before it as if the comment that violated the rule and every comment after it did not exist.

4. Have fun and be creative, please!:valhappy:

So, i will just start this off...

Linsby Kerman was a KSP spaceplane pilot. But when she de-orbited her absolutely massive spaceplane she accidentally burned half a second short and landed on the Island Airfield.

And when we say landed what we actually mean is she rolled across it and into the water on the otherside. She now had the largest submarine on Kerbin, what adventures might she get up to next?

Jeb, having got in communications range, contacted Linsby and together they pulled off a daring transfer that got Linsby out of her capsule and into Jeb's rocket (the movie rights were snapped up quickly) they managed to break free of the comet's pull, but where are they heading now?

Was one scenario of the thousands accounted for by the think tank, that was working on the problem. As such the 5km in diameter, circular, magnetic accelerator, successfully launched it's payload on an interception course for DUNA. I wonder what marvels of creativity are enclosed?

Thankfully the payload package and the rocket are stuck together and even though they can't avoid the wormhole, Jeb's engineer, Montgomery Kerbal, immediately starts using the parts and tech to repair and upgrade the ship. Montgomery is fond of saying " You canna change the laws of physics, but by Glob you can bend them to your design."

The package, rocket and the kerbals are are sucked into the wormhole, depositing them at the ksc.

But the wormhole malfunctions and makes spacetime unstable anywhere within the kerbol system.

any craft that passes  through a place with unstable spacetime will be warped to a random location

Meanwhile in orbit of Kerbin, Space Station One was existing in a 200 km-200 km polar orbit with an inclination of 89,7 degrees.

-Hey, boss, a new message came from KSC! Dimensional spacetime anomalies have popped up everywhere! said communication officer Puhura Kerman on said space station.

-Oh dam, we have to call Felbourn. He's gotten used to these things, answered to her the station's captain Haddock Kerman.

-Huh?

-Watch some Project Gateway and Project Odyssey!

And then, the Station hit an anomaly. It was instantly teleported into space around a hundred kilometers above Vall, the moon of Jool- on a collision course! Thankfully, the intrepid crew of Space Station One quickly found their deducings and and realized what was happening.

-How long until impact? asked Haddock under his breath.

-According to the computer, 23 minutes and 27 seconds, answered Ondly Kerman, the Station's engineer. She was a smart young fella.

-Well. What do we have?

-Well, we have 2 Kerfalcon SSTO spaceplanes. Each has a crew capacity of 30, so the 58 member crew has enough escape pod. But the Kerfalcons don't have anywhere near the fuel needed. But we do have the atmosphere...

But I also have another idea said Ondly. We can use the spaceplanes thrust to bounce the Station across the atmosphere and fling us at Laythe, we won't be able to do a stable orbit but we can separate as we hit atmosphere and follow the station in as it breaks up on entry into the atmosphere. Then over time we can collect up the wreckage and combine it with mined resources to build a camp and maybe even over time be able to leave again. And most importantly have an enviroment we can survive in.

Haddock said "Make it so" and so they did. It was a rough trip but they pulled through and are now in a fledgling base on Laythe, working and collecting for a brighter future. I wonder how they will progress?

It never gets started as both races realise that they are incapable of interstellar travel. So they go back to what they were doing.

Many years have passed and many new Kerbals are natives of Laythe, A communications array has been built and there is contact with Kerbin, though it takes a long time between sending and reply. But a basic LSC has been set up and their first visitors will be arriving any day now.

Just now, KSP_linux0191 said:

But what about the anomalies? What's the rest of the story with the spacetime anomalies?

If you want to expand on what is happening with them then you will need to write your section of the story to tell us.

The spacetime anomalies grew worse and worse. More and more vessels were being sent to random locations. After a week, there were so many anomalies that you couldn't launch a vessel anywhere, and they were so strong that they were rerouting even the communications to nowhere. Finally, the anomalies were so strong that they all at once burst, and spacetime returned to complete normal.

He spacewalks and recovers it. It turns out to be a metal gauntlet with glowing stones set in it above the fingers and thumb. He puts it on and snaps his fingers. I wonder what happens next?
