Linear Aerospikes

Nertea could neither confirm nor deny plans for linear aerospikes in KSP2. So, I want to ask the community.

I rater would prefer a earospike like the Phoenix. Would be a large earospike that could even have a heat shield attached to it 

 

Linear aerospike's are cool  but almost all parts are round 

 

edit: like with the other engingines, having a earospike in S, M end L would be very nice

100%. I've been wanting to make an engine set with linear aerospike/s, truncated aerospike/s, rotation detonation engines. The Dart engine is crap, it's one of those ones I have a hard time justifying using it (like the NERV, which is also so poor compared to the SWERV).

Linear aerospikes are not used in reallife for some reason, but who am i?

would be cool if we could attach linear aerospike parts to each other to make a longer one when we need it
